Breakfast Croissant Sandwich 3PD
Estela B.

Ordered door dash breakfast croissant sandwich It was so dry, and not good. I couldn't finish it. No cheese at all to be found. I also ordered a cafe au lait and it was the only good thing. My husband god their oatmeal creme brulee and he enjoyed that. 1 star for the coffee and one star from creme brulee oats So upsetting. Not worth $15 for that sandwich.

Came for a birthday party breakfast and loved it! Great service and quality. The Brussel sprouts were the best ever with a crispy texture, but not burnt. Dessert was da bomb!!!!

Crème Brûlée Oatmeal 3PD

We door-dashed on a Sunday morning from Gourmandise. I was in the mood for oatmeal so I ordered the... CRÈME BRÛLÉE OATMEAL $10.90 Gluten-free oats, flax seeds, chia seeds, coconut milk, almond milk, crispy caramelized sugar, fresh whipped cream, strawberries, sliced bananas, toasted almonds & berry coulis (add "bougie" berry blend-blueberries, black berries & raspberries for $2.80) Overall it was good. I normally eat my steel cut oats with very minimal sweetness, but decided to go all in this time. The whipped cream and warm berry coulis sweetened it up and gave it a really nice flavor. They only added 3 slices of banana and one strawberry - very minimal. Since I ordered it for delivery I guess I could've added more banana myself, but I would've hoped they put at least half of a banana and two strawberries... Anyways, Gourmandis is solid and has some nice menu items.

Tri tip Sandwich

They deliver consistently solid food options. tri-tip sandwich was good, not much flavor without the provided sauce but I enjoyed the chewy bread filled with veggies, cheese and the tri-tip. The pastry options are limitless. I'm a big fan of the Almond Horns, simple but they make them well.

Chicken piccata

Sadly, Gourmandise has not aged well. The last few times I've been, it has been terribly disappointing. Last week I ordered the chicken piccata. The chicken was undercooked, breading was not browned. Instead of a light caper sauce, it was smothered in a gross gravy type sauce that did not taste like lemons or capers. It was horrible! To make matters worse, the waitress never asked how the food was. She didn't ask if there was anything wrong with my meal, even though I had clearly only taken one bite and did not take it to go. I paid for a meal that was disgusting and went home hungry. This should never be the case when you are dining out. Gourmandise has definitely disappointed recently.

Saw this place on Instagram and had to come try it. We came for lunch, but I've heard their breakfast is better! Their spinach artichoke dip was really good! The bread seemed like it would be hard but it was soft on the inside, completing the flavor of the dip! I got the tomato basil soup cup with the grilled cheese. I was disappointed in the grilled cheese. Not much cheese at all and it was burnt on the inside. Couldn't eat all the sandwich because the lack of cheese which just made it crusted bread. The sister had their rigatoni pasta and she said it was good. Now for their desserts. Of course I had to try the giant peach. It didn't taste like anything I expected it to. It was good, but probably wouldn't get it again. The raspberry pistachio was delicious! Their strawberry bar was also good, but I think the raspberry pistachio was all of our favorite! It is a busy place, lots of people coming in to do walk up orders at the counter, door dash drivers and then the tables all next to each other kind of like a coffee shop vibe. Our waiter was nice, but also busy. The gentlemen who seated us was also polite and said he'd check with the server before he sat us to make sure they were okay to be seated again. Overall good experience, will be coming back to try their breakfast menu.

Brussels Sprouts 3PD

Came in on a Monday night around 7PM. Wasn't busy and was sat quickly! Our server was super friendly and helpful. Shared the brussel sprouts and salmon en croute. Brussels were cooked perfectly paired with a nice sauce. Little disappointed with the small amount of salmon inside, but the puff pastry was perfection! Didn't get a pic bc we dug right in. Haha. For dessert, ordered a pumpkin spiced layer cake with brown butter cream cheese - delicious! The candied nuts was a great addition of texture. Decadence dessert was surely that - very rich but still tasty. Not something I could eat in one sitting. Also brought home a brownie which was also substantial and rich! It was perfect with vanilla ice cream!

Tri tip steak sandwich

This is a cute restaurant that focuses alot on desserts and pastries which are amazing but they also have good food! We went during lunch hours and I got the tri tip steak sandwich was good, I was hoping for a little more seasoning and flavor, however my daughter got the beef brisket grilled cheese which was fantastic that I should have gotten that sandwich. That will be my next sandwich at gourmandise! And don't forget a great dessert to top off the meal!

We love gourmandise for everything. Their dinner is delicious and we also love grabbing a sweet treat here as well! Recently we special ordered a 1/4 sheet cake for our wedding and loved it! The cake was beautiful and delicious and ordering was really easy as well.

Smoked Turkey Monte Cristo 3PD
Angie B.

Came here with team for lunch. Service was good. Very attentive. Food was ok. Shared the fries. They were bland and not crispy. The potatoes were also bland but crispy. Monte Cristo sandwich was decent. Wasn't a huge fan of the cranberry sauce in it and that the whole sandwich was fried how it was but overall I still enjoyed it. Good amount of seating. Spacious parking lot.

Food and ambiance are great! Wonderful place to spend Valentine's Day! The place was very lively.

Breakfast Croissant Sandwich 3PD

The hype isn't worth it for the restaurant. Sure, their pastries are delicious and great but as a sit down restaurant - meh. It took 20 minutes to get seated, no waiting area. Then another 20 just to get water and order. It was quick to get the food after that but it was also meh. The croissant itself was great! But the obvious microwave bacon was flimsy and gross, and tasted like it had been dipped in liquid smoke. The scrambled eggs were brown/well done, not my preference. I'll just stick to their cakes from now on.

We stopped at this venue on Friday night to pick up birthday dessert. Always difficult to pick a dessert because they all look so fabulous! It was a slice Red Velvet cake and a slice of mascarpone for this occasion.

The service is very helpful and friendly even if you don't speak Spanish or don't know what to get. There is a separate seated area to sit down and order food or a walk up bakery to grab food to go. It has a cozy, inviting atmosphere. I ordered the salmon en croûte, while my companion had the grilled salmon. They seemed to enjoy theirs, and I absolutely loved mine. The puff pastry was light and not overly heavy, and the sauce was well balanced--not too rich, but still flavorful and complementary to the salmon. The wild rice on the side was good, though I did not finish it. We also ordered the falafel as a side, which was interesting. It was not quite what I expected (possibly not chickpea-based) but still enjoyable, just not something I would necessarily order again. Overall, a wonderful first experience. I would definitely come back to try more of the menu.

The Weeknd has a song on his Trilogy album named "Twenty Eight", hence the idea for the cake design. I specifically ordered this cake for the cake to have the song cover with "Twenty Eight" on it. I reached out to Cakes By Edith on instagram, sent them my cake inspiration and they sent back the exact picture I was wanting, with the song cover for Twenty Eight on the cake. When my boyfriend went to pick up the cake yesterday, the cake was missing the "Twenty Eight" part of the song cover entirely. This completely defeated the purpose of the cake as I am also in bodybuilding prep so I wasn't even going to be able to eat the cake, I just wanted it to take birthday pictures with and then to freeze and eat later after my bodybuilding show. And it's a complete missed opportunity as I only turn 28 once. I sobbed when I saw the cake because I knew even though I couldn't eat it, I was excited to have my perfect cake and Cakes By Edith did not deliver. They did not offer to fix it, nor give a price adjustment. Poorly handled business as I am a very unsatisfied customer. I hate to leave a bad review for a local business but since Cakes By Edith did not even attempt to offer to make things right, I cannot support this business and I will be ordering from a different local baker in the future. I will add pictures/screenshots from the instagram chat. What my inspiration was, and what I received.

The owner is always a delight and anything new I have tried here has not let me down. Which is why I had to add my last experience sampling what may sound not appealing at all. I noticed on one visit that a family had come in and bought up all of a certain menu item. When I visited another time I saw there were a few of those items on display and I decided to try one for myself. It was called Taro Mochi Dried Meat Floss Cake. It sounds like it wouldn't work, but to my surprise I quite enjoyed it. Semi-sweet cream filling and chewy fresh mochi sandwiched between light and fluffy sponge cake then rolled in a dried meat floss and what looked to be nori. The smell was a little pungent, but I always try something once. I never know what I may like until I've tried it and this is definitely a "Don't Yuck My Yum" situation.
