This is the most amazing restaurant! My children come in from out of town and this is our first stop!

I sure miss Bake 360 that once inhabited this space. Gourmandise is okay but lacks the quaint feel. Noisy, busy and you'll leave smelling like the kitchen. Service is slow and their kouign-Amman's are flat. COME BACK BAKE 360! read more

Our server Amy was amazing and as asked she actually seemed to get our food out quicker because we were in a hurry. Oh my goodness, this place is incredible. I had the French Dip with a cup of French onion soup. It was insanely delicious. My friend ordered the G grilled cheese with tomato basil soup and the amount of cheese was decadent. She made yummy noises with every bite. My favorite place to get tarts and tiramisu! I'm so glad one opened at the south end of the valley. I still prefer the atmosphere and ambience of the downtown location though. Their brunch and bakery items are ALL delicious but I don't love their lunch or dinner. read more

We had to wait forever to be waited on and it was only after we asked. We placed our order and then had to wait for a very long time to get it. Others were served even though they arrived after we did. When we finally got our order, all but one was room temperature or cold. We would've been a lot more understanding if they would've communicated with us about what was going on. We're pretty sure they forgot about the one item and so that's why we had to wait so long. They're probably under staff, but it was still frustrating because others received their orders. Two of us had the quiche and it had very little flavor, but the fruit was great. Love gourmandise downtown!! This one just isn't the same.. the creme brulee was super runny, the tiramisu was off with the lady fingers tasting stale :( the salmon was delicious, but not enough sauce and slightly burnt. People are nice, a bit lost, but hey they just opened so it's understandable!! I'll absolutely keep going to the one downtown and maybe give the draper location another shot in a few months. read more

I have some friends from Vietnam who love this place. Personally I thought it was rather bland but perhaps it is supposed to be that way.

This is the place to go for DESSERT!!!! Skip dessert where ever you are eating and head to Gourmandise... seriously. I've never had more delicious bread pudding in my life, they have these ginormous peach cream puff things that are the size of your head-- Incredible tasting! I was with a group and we got a few things and every dessert I tried was perfection. I can't say much about the food because I only tried one thing and it was okay. Not bad but not incredible like their desserts-- so I'll have to weigh in a little later on what their food is really like. Right now I'd have to say it's average but I don't know if it's absolutely fair to say that after only trying one thing. The location in Draper is so cute and from the outside it looks like a bakery your find in France-- I love how they remodeled the outside. The inside was nothing special but it was clean and decent looking so it wasn't a disappointment, it just doesn't WOW you like the outside. The staff in the Draper location is fairly young and inexperienced but they haven't been open that long so I'm hoping that will improve. For the most part everyone has been friendly (with the exception of one employee) but most of them aren't super knowledgeable yet. This place is a must if you love dessert! read more

On my first visit, I had lunch in a party of ten, and my food wasn't as hot or flavorful as it should have been. However, they were quite busy, and it's hard to get everyone's dish served piping hot when you're with a large group. Our wait staff was excellent- cheerful and efficient. On another visit, I came just for to-go desserts, and they were scrumptious and reasonably priced. I look forward to trying this restaurant again! read more

I have been wanting to try this place since it opened. I am hesitate to post this because of how amazing it was and I don't want it to fill up and I can never get back in. The staff was amazing and the food was out of this world. We got the butternut pasta and the crusted chicken both of which I would get again. I was not prepared for the exquisite meal I had a Gourmandise. I mean, it's a bakery for crying out loud! I knew the dessert would be good but the meal knocked my socks off. If you go (and you definitely SHOULD go) I highly recommend the Au Poivre Slow Roasted Tri Tip Steak. It comes with a Gorgonzola sauce that was some of the best my wife and I had ever tasted. read more

I visited this restaurant yesterday at 10:30 am the host was a very kind and helpful I wish I would have gotten his name so I can give him credit. He sat us down and we waited about 10 mins at which time he came back and he had brought us water. We waited around once again and finally our server showed up 15 mins into our visit. She asked what we wanted to drink and my partner ordered a Chai with a shot of espresso and I ordered a monitor and a chai.. she asked for my ID and I provided it and she said she couldn't accept it so I said that fine I'll just take the Chai... we went ahead and ordered our food (butternut pasta which by the way was amazing and I highly recommend to everyone ) she left and returned with only one Chai with espresso and not mine. She dropped it off and left again I assumed she brought only the one because it was ready and would come back with mine . Our food came out and I asked the other server about my Chai and she sent out our server. I began to get irritated because not only had we waited without service for a while but now I found out she never had gotten my drink. She came back with my chai and we finished our meal . We began to wait again because we wanted to also do desert. After waiting another 15 mins without her assisting us. We stood up and headed to the front because we were tired of waiting she is walking out as we are walking in and she asks if we wanted desert in the middle of the doorway. I tell her are you serious ? What did we do that you didn't pay any attention to us ? Please give me the check so we can leave we waited in the doorway from the patio to the main dining room while she was looking over the device she used to pull up our ticket she shows me the total and the tip like came up. Now this was frustrating I'm a server and have been for almost 14 years.i tipped 15 percent and told her it was ashame she didn't provide better care of us because I usually tip 30 to 50 percent of my total. The place didn't look busy when we left so I couldn't understand the reasoning behind the bad service. If she had just communicated told us she was busy , even just have said hey I totally spaced it and didn't see you sit down. I would have understood ! I know how things can become hectic in a restaurant and sometimes things get missed. But after letting her know we had been waiting for 15 mins before she got there she still ignored us and provided very disappointing service. Overall the food was great! the drinks were good, but the service was honestly some of the worst I have ever experienced. But props to the host very kind, helpful and actually seemed genuinely to be assisting us. read more

Decor is nice. Case presentation also very nice. Ordered porcupine and mousse. Porcupine presentation is novel. Flavor is muted. Raspberry seemed to be a preserve, not bad but not special. Chocolate flavor weak. Price value not so great. Good in concept but ingredient quality rather store- bakery average. May have been "made in advance" as it has a deep chilled consistency and aftertaste.. Mousse OK, basically eats similar or perhaps better than porcupine at a lower price. Should have taller boxes or lids for mousse as current box mushes the dessert. I will give G another shot. Want to like it. read more

Great breakfast for a fair price with good service and a nice atmosphere. Poached eggs were just right and the vegetable hash was great--definitely not just a bunch of potatoes. Tried the Draper location on several occasions, always something is not as it should be. Cold FFries, poor service, cold salmon, the table not being served at the same time. Food is flavored/seasoned well but not consistent and WAY OVERPRICED for the quality. Want to see a promising Bistro turned into a fast food joint? They did it in Draper. Today my wife brought home an Éclair...their deserts were always most consistent and good of anything there. Unfortunately, the Éclair was very bland, had a strong freezer/refrigerator taste (stale, soft), and the chocolate icing is extremely thin, more of the crinkle type stuff, not at all chocolatey or creamy-a big disappointment. So...if you have more money than you care about, and enjoy purely mediocre food and service, this is the place. read more

I went to gourmandise for the first time with my family and I have to say it was such a great experience. We had 8 people in total and they quickly got a table for us ready and within just a few minutes we were seated. They ensured that the seating area for us was sanitized and masks were worn by all employees and customers when they walked in. We felt very welcomed. We were quickly introduced to our waiter, who was awesome and very kind and attentive, and got our orders in. I particularly liked the QR code menus. I had ordered the smoked turkey monte cristo with fruit and loved it all the way. It was so good. Everyone at my table enjoyed their food, and we were also able to hang out for like half an hour after finishing our meals just to finish up our conversations. I loved it here, and will absolutely come again. read more

The prices are a bit steep, but I've enjoyed the tiramisu cake because it was moist and delicious with fresh cream. The Chocolate cake was a bit too sweet. I usually can eat a few bites and be satisfied so the portion size is fine for me but probably not for others with a giant sweet tooth. I think it's better to get an assortment and share. My biggest concern is that I ordered a salad to go after ordering 40 dollars worth of desserts and coffee and when I got home it was mainly just lettuce and one piece of parmesan. No walnuts and and the pomegranates seeds were also missing. I called the next day because it was a $12 salad missing half it's stuff and I explained the situation and they said bring the salad back. I was like okay because I didn't eat it. When my husband went later in the evening, the hostess accused him of eating half of it. Well I had mixed it around to find to the ingredients so they weren't going to refund it so my husband got upset and the manager came out and I came inside from the car. She was rude saying, refund or I can make 2 salads or 1 salad or what? My husband replied if you could do two salads that would be appreciated so they make one salad and threw all the ingredients together in 2 minutes and handed it to us. It was not worth it anymore to say anything else so we left. I don't think we'll ever return with customer service like that. 2 stars for the Tiramisu cake. read more

Not impressed. We stopped in to grab some breakfast and I was hoping that the service would be better than the downtown location, and it wasn't (it wouldn't kill their employees to smile every so often either). Breakfast foods are my favorite and I've been to most of the best places in the SLC valley, Gourmandise is not one of them. The food is decent tasting (the only reason I give it 2 stars instead of 1). However we ordered an $11 plate that wouldn't have been enough food for even one person. It was a vegetable hash with scrambled eggs and avocado. Not worth it whatsoever, we left hungry still and I had to keep pulling full pieces of rosemary out of my mouth. They gave us one absolutely miniscule piece of avocado and one slightly larger piece. The eggs were average tasting and of small quantity. The vegetables and tomato sauce are what saved the dish. Personally I have tried to give Gourmandise many chances, as their desserts and coffee can be pretty dang good. However, their food is absolutely not worth your time or money. If you want a solid breakfast or brunch, find somewhere else (personally I love Roots Cafe, Bohemian Brewery, and Eva's Bakery). read more

This was disappointing. The server was very "meh". They brought out my dessert with half of the components missing without a spoon, then brought me a dirty spoon. They ruined our other other and brought out a completely different item. The food was mediorcre, they offered to comp one of the items then back tracked on their offer.
