Didnt realize this is a walk up window. They do have a nice seating area around the block, if it's warm and dry outside. But, SO good! And the gal working the window was incredibly sweet and friendly on an early Sunday morning. She popped a few pickles in the bag with our bagels and it was the most fresh and crunchy garlicky pickle EVER - and a cookie for our little one! Had high hopes for this place but the product was trash! The bagels taste a week old and are insanely stiff. We often buy fresh bagels at local places to eat throughout the week and bought a half a dozen here. We ate two and had to throw away the rest. I was excited for this spot after viewing the website and reading the story behind the OG location in Wisconsin. Seemed like this could be a great new bagel spot in South Loop. Unfortunately my first experience was disappointing. My partner and I ordered two bacon, egg, and cheese on Asiago. With a container of chive cream cheese on the side to spread some on the sandwich. The bagels themselves were mostly soft, a bit chewy...but had almost a wet texture on the inner side. They didn't really have a good little crunch on the outside that I expect from a NY style bagel. The bacon was thick, and I would say not cooked enough. Sort of gelatinous when biting through. Do some people like chewy bacon on their sandwiches? I kind of assumed that everyone likes their bacon a bit crispy to give some texture. Overall the sandwich was just "okay". It didn't really pop with flavor though. The bagel itself was just underwhelming. Especially when two bagel sandwiches with cream cheese comes out to 32$...I was expecting a real treat. read more

Pretty solid bagels! I got an everything with cream cheese. It was a littleeee bit firmer than I wanted but that's just my bagel preference. It still had a nice chew and tasted fresh. WARNING: It's a pick-up only at a window and the lines get insane so order 30-60min in advance because you WILL wait and be hangry. Also the delivery system is a little rough. You get texted for your food but you have to wait an indeterminate amount of time to get your drink since they don't call out orders. The amount of frustrated ppl waiting around for food is quite high lol. I live closeby so I'll probably plan ahead when I wake up with an order and meander down there whenever I get a text. To the owners of this place, if you happen upon my little old post. Good bagels, not usually toasted but you can request it. The spot is a little weirdly located but it works! Order ahead when you're a couple train stops away, which is what I do on my commute or when I get to the office and grab breakfast before my first meeting. Bagels are a tad more expensive if you're used to dunking donuts but it's freshly baked and a good amount of bread and cream cheese. Great quality for your buck. Having gone now regularly to this location, I still really enjoy their bagels. However, I do have some complaints. Today, I received a regular everything bagel instead of the egg everything, my bagel was not cut in half, and I did not get a pickle. The amount of cream cheese I get really varies each time I go, and I only sometimes get napkins. It's not a huge deal, but it's little things like this that dampen my experience. read more

I got the lox cream cheese on an everything bagel for about $16 (also came with a pickle). I subbed the regular cream cheese for vegan scallion (Additional .25¢) and it was AMAZING! I really appreciate that they have vegan/dairy free spreads and other vegan options. The vegan spread was so thick and flavorful, didn't have that tofu taste at all. The service is so quick and the girl who got my order was so friendly despite being there 10 min before closing. My pickup order was ready in about 10 minutes at their little pick up window (seating is available around the corner). overall I loved this place and I will be coming back to try other bagels. the only "negative" things I have to say about this place is the price point but honestly the bagels and spreads are worth the $ and the fact that they close early! read more

The bagel sandwich was solid but service was AWFUL! we placed our order online at 6:15. arrived to pick up ONE bagel sandwich and coffee and waited almost 45 minutes ! another couple waited the same amount of time for one bagel with cream cheese! we were never offered anything for our wait like an apology or coffee and whenever I inquired about the wait time was told "sorry there is no method to the kitchen." however some people walked right up and got their order immediately. Do not get the salted bagel. Wasted $18 getting it with lox and cream cheese. 1/4 cup salt on one bagel. The Brighton Beach bagel was amazing, beyond delicious. The lox was really fabulous and the toppings were in the exact right proportions. The pickle was great, too! I ordered it on egg everything, although I think I received regular everything since the bagel wasn't yellow - but the bagel was still awesome. I wish they opened earlier in the morning and allowed me to order in person, not just online (or that they allowed me to submit an online order before 8am). I also wish they had any seating, they're literally just a window with empty sidewalk in front. I can CONFIDENTLY say that this is the best bagel in the city of Chicago and that it really isn't close. I heard this place had vegan options so I stopped by this week to check it out, just to show my support of the fact that they offered vegan options but assuming I wouldn't be back often. But holy cow - their vegan bagel sandwich (I highly suggest getting it with the everything bagel) with vegan scallion cream cheese, avocado, tomato, and poblano salad was out of this world. Although $16 may seem like a high price point for a bagel sandwich, it was not only delicious but also incredibly filling and kept me full for hours. I'm going to be going back often! read more
