After purchasing a new car we took it in the next morning to get the front two windows tinted. Upon picking it up we noticed a straight line cut in the rear paint through the bumper. We immediately contacted the store and was told that there's no way that they did it. We have pictures when we purchased it the night before and then after having the windows tinted the very next morning. The cut was done at the shop and is in a perfect straight line by a razor blade. Accidents happen, but we received total denial from everyone with know explanation, except the fact that it was strange how perfect the cut was. We are taking the next steps as this will cost us over $2,700 to get it repaired. I will never do business there again and will make sure everyone knows about it. read more

I actually never got the tint job here but I just wanted to post about my limited time inside the building. The two girls working up front were very friendly and accommodating when I asked for a quote for a tint on my 2007 corvette. One of them walked in back and asked one of the technicians how much it would be. As she returned she says it's $350 and I probably shouldn't tell you what else he said. I'm like what?? I'm curious now. Supposedly he says that's the price and if you don't like it go somewhere else!! Really dude? Ok I will. Got Tint Review. Let me start by stating I am a long time customer of Got Tint! Love the product and have always been very satisfied with the quality of work! I believe he has tinted at least seven vehicles for me, dating back to the time he started the business. My problem today is strictly scheduling. I had an 8:00 am appointment. When I arrived, the waiting area was full, and I was informed it would be several hours wait. Having gone through this process over a dozen times, both with Got Tint and other Llumar installers in Texas, I have a very good idea of how long it should take to do the front windows on a vehicle! Obviously, the clerk had booked multiple people at the time! Not satisfactory! Having been in a service industry for forty years, I realize you must manage your customers expectations! I arrived at the appointed time, expecting to be there for two hours, more than enough time to tint front windows on an SUV. The purpose of issuing an appointment time is to manage the customer's expectations, not to schedule as much work as possible! I hope the young man realizes this quickly! Speaking only for myself, I will find another Llumar installer! As for other potential customers, please be advised, appointments mean very little with these folks! read more

Absolutely the worst experience I've encountered from this company. I've had work done by them in the past and never had any issues. November 23,2020 8:00 am is when I had an appointment to get my 2011 Ford Escape tinted front-to-back. Prior to me dropping my vehicle off I received a phone call stating that somehow my front windshield had gotten cracked from just "cleaning" it. Was told that it was a possibility ; that it was cracked from a rock chip that I had on my windshield prior. I was not present at the time so who knows what could have really happened. So after this whole mix up I was told that I would be responsible for replacing the windshield out-of-pocket with a small discount applied. Furthermore they left my automatic starter equipment "dangling" from the windshield , rear-view mirror was totally out of place and my roof interior was pulled back close to the windshield. Last but not least their equipment /tool was left behind in my vehicles back seat "pink tint scrapper". Other than that! I don't know if it were there first day on the job or what , but the jobs they've done for me in the past were day & night compared with this experience. I was very clear that our new Altima had tint all the way around the car including the full windshield..To remove it they told me between $85-$115 . Then when I got there they charged me $240!!!! I get back they say they will fix it and I can get the car tomorrow, but not only didn't they call they relist the truck from 3500 to 5000. BUYER BEWARE Got Tint has a disclaimer that they are NOT responsible for any damages that may accrue to your vehicle while they are performing work on it. This disclaimer is not posted in the showroom, but instead is placed at the bottom of your receipt where it is only noticed after the work has been performed and damages done. I had to take Mr. Pepple, the owner of Got Tint to Small Claims Court to recover the cost of the damages to my vehicle. After winning my case I still had to go back to Court several times to get Mr. Pepple to actually pay for the damages. So BUYER BEWARE. Find out BEFORE you decide to have any work done here or someplace else if the owner will actually stand behind his workmanship. $20-30 saved my not actually be $20-30 saved in the long run. read more

This place is terrible. I was quoted an estimate of $200 to replace my four brake pads. When I showed up, I inquired about replacing my rotors as well. I told them to use their best professional judgement in determining whether I actually need the replacement and asked them to call to confirm with me before they do anything with the rotors. I thought why not, an additional $125 for all four rotors is an excellent deal. 45 minutes later they called and said the job was done on my front axle brake pad and rotor and that the rear didn't need any replacement. I was shocked that they never called to confirm on the job done on the rotors but I was glad at least they were honest about the rear. When I came to pick up my car, I thought the service wasn't going to cost more than $175, half of $200+$125 plus taxes as quoted. Total came out to be $275! Apparently the higher than expected price was due to the rotors which I think either they lied or miscommunicated. Had I known I was going to pay this much, I would have asked for quotes elsewhere. Since they worked on my rotors without my confirmation, the bullet has left the gun so I just had to pay. Funny thing is, I was actually going to come back to get my windows tinted here! read more

Got Tint has a wide variety of products and services. I have used them for my window tints on my Yukon Denali and they were able to tint the entire thing (including windshield) which I was very pleased about. They also instal some truck accessories so I had them install a new bed liner into another truck I own at a great price and again it was done in a timely manor at a fair price. The owner Chad is a super nice guy and will work with any reasonable person. This place has been around in Fort Wayne for a decent amount of time and has always stood by its products for me and also my friends. I highly recommend Got Tint. As to be expected the 3 people who had bad experiences posted their reviews but there is nothing to worry about in my opinion, and this place has always done great work for myself and any of my friends who have gone there and I have several friends who are customers. I would strongly refer any friends or family to use Got Tint. I had tried to use another place in town (14/69 auto center) however they were un knowledgeable about their products and tried charging me for "tint removal" despite the fact the factory tints on a Denali are actually tinted glass and not a layer of film over clear glass... Got Tint knows their stuff and does great work at a fair price and the products they use are all high quality unless specifically asked for the lower budget line products which as to be expected as well aren't the same as the regular versions. read more

Brought in a brand new vehicle, I personally inspected the vehicle top to bottom at the dealership prior to leaving the dealership. Vehicle was spotless, no dents scratches etc (there was one nick on the door sill driver side) brought the vehicle in to Got Tint to get windows , including windshield, tinted. Picked up the truck same day. Next morning I noticed there were dents I. Front of the drivers mirror on the door and fender. The truck sits very high so a laser would have been required to tint the windshield. It's obvious that the damage occurred when the technician was leaning over the side to make cuts on the tint during the fitting process. I did not expect and compensation from Got Tint, but I did call them to inform them of the situation. I thought that this may help future customers from experiencing what I did. The person who took my phone call indicated she would have the technician who installed my tint call me back. The phone call never happened. Thanks Got Tint for respecting my brand new vehicle! I've been a long time customer but this is the last vehicle you'll do for me. You've lost your touch that initially drove me to give you my business. Good news is that I get to fork over some money to a paintless Dent removal company that will benefit from my loss! I'd give you zero stars but it won't let me. read more

Worst company I've dealt with!! When I originally got my windows tinted I said I wanted the darkest tint u can get. Only to find out when I got my car it was 35% and not dark at all to me. I explained my issue and was hoping for them to take it off and put a different one on. Of course that couldn't happen. She suggested I put another layer of tint over my 35 to get it closer to my liking. So I agreed and made sure I would still have my lifetime warranty, she said yes it still applies. I had to also pay the price of the new tint instead of the difference but since I already went there I thought I might as well do it. Went back to get my car and liked the darkness a little better. Paid and left and went on with business. A few months later my driver window started peeling and I needed it replaced (by the lifetime warranty.) I get there and she tells me I will have to pay for the tint to be replaced bc when I do the 2nd layer of tint it voids my warranty. I was never told this at all and I explained the situation. She says "well we can try and take the top layer off but if there's trouble you're gonna have to pay for the new layer which is atleast $30.00 .After arguing and needing my window fixed I agreed to get it in and hope for them not to charge me. At the time I told her please do everything you can yo make it free because i need the rest of my money to take my daughter to the doctor (limited budget.) She said ok. Well of course there was "trouble" and she told me it would be $30.00.. told her "I thought you'd say that but whatever" Went to pick my car up and of course she tried charging me more than what she had just told me on the phone. I told her "all I have is the money I was going to use for my daughter's doctor visit. You can take my 30 even or you can take your "top layer" off and I will happily go elsewhere. "I guess I can just take that." You're darn right you will. She handed me my receipt and paperwork and stapled a coupon for $5.00 off an oil change and another coupon for a stereo or car detailing. I had to laugh to think they think I would actually come back. THIS IS THE WORST BUSINESS I'VE HAD TO DEAL WITH WHO I GOT A "WARRANTY" FROM. Another EXTREMELY unhappy customer - PLEASE TAKE ALL OF THESE BAD RATINGS SERIOUSLY! I purchased a remote start "with return" at Got Tint a few months ago. I wish I had read the reviews first! The "return" function never worked correctly. They agreed that the product was malfunctioning so I then went back to them and they replaced it with a second product. This one also malfunctioned literally 95% of the time. No matter where I was in the city or outside the city, be it the Walmart parking lot, a church, a restaurant, my place of employment, etc...The remote start worked but the return function did not. They refused to remove it and replace it again, they refused to reimburse me the $400 I spent on this bad product, and were extremely rude to me, especially "manager" Chad. He told me that I was wrong, that it was working as expected, and said that it should not work all of the time. IT ONLY WORKED 5% OF THE TIME! That is not an acceptable rate, of course. I was made to feel as if I was lying to them ( I wasn't!), even though I offered multiple times to have them test it at locations other than from their own parking lot and from a few hundred feet from their lot. I honestly never post ratings because I am generally a positive, non-confrontational, nice person. But this has been the WORST business transaction I have ever experienced and upset me so greatly that I felt the need to WARN other potential customers. I went in to get my remote start programmed. I had to be there at 9 am, I arrived early accompanied by my 1 yr old and 4 yr old. I check in, they ask if I'm going to wait, and since I didn't figure a programming should take long I said we would wait. I see him take my vehicle back about 5 minutes later and about 20 minutes later I ask them how long I should be expecting to wait. She went back and asked and told me he was working on it so it shouldn't be long. I had no food for my kids, nothing to drink for them and nothing to help keep them occupied because it shouldn't have taken much time. Well at 1030 rolls around I'm still sitting there, with very hungry kids (they should offer drinks and snacks to customers since obviously people wait a long time on a regular basis), I have to use the restroom but they "don't have a public restroom, but the bar next door does." Seriously! Let me walk my kids into a bar to use the restroom! Then the guy walks out and informs me that my vehicle only has a key fob and not a module in the actual vehicle for the remote start. So I sat there for 2 hours!!!for him to not even do what he should have been doing. This place is a joke, the only reason I will ever use them is if the dealership where I got my car pays for me to get a remote start, other than that I will NEVER give them my money.
