Apparently that's not what they want and a male employee got aggressive with me because he wasn't getting the info he asked for. They make their stuff fresh when you call because they are always ready to change and customize your order. Made with fresh ingredients, especially the veggies. Only downside is they don't do brown rice with combo orders. Our family favorite for a cheap dinner night for a family of four is to order the pork fried rice and ask them to mix in extra veggies. Horrible Experience! My daughter attends school with the rude owners daughter. I called after ordering 2 sweet and sour shrimp meals and an orange chicken meal. The batter on the shrimp was a thick as a donut and as tough as rubber. You could barely chew it! There was a skinny litte piece of overcooked shrimp deep inside. It was just gross. I let Lee know what was wrong and she said everyone else liked it. Well, I didn't ask about them. My daughter and I hated it! She just kept defending their trashy food instead of trying to make things right. It's jumbo shrimp. No it is not. Cocktail but not jumbo. I told her that it was cut in half and overcooked. This is the only Chinese restaurant I will order takeout from. Their portions are huge! There is no MSG or over salting... Therefore I do not get bloated for an uncomfortable feeling after eating. Everything is super fresh! When I call for delivery they tell me 25 to 30 minutes but they get here in about 10 to 15 minutes every single time. My new favorite is the beef with mushrooms. They have huge chunks of zucchini and carrots along with massive mushrooms and so much beef in it that I can eat it for three or four days afterwards. The fried rice is the way it supposed to be... I've eaten at other places where they just throw some soy sauce and peas in it and call it fried rice. Here they actually put about 6-7 different things in it. My husband likes the Mu shu chicken we both also enjoy the general Tsaos chicken and the garlic beef. We have had the dumplings steamed and fried and the dipping sauce is always really good! They said to give them 30 minuets but they were there in less than 15 (we later found out it was because they were literally right around the corner from us! LOL). They don't skimp on their portions and their food is VERY tasty. It's a family owned joint, the parents cook and the kids run the front counter. They have decent lunch specials and their lunch portions are almost as big as their dinner plates! They also give you coupons when you order to go or get it delivered, my favorite coupon is the buy one dinner plate get another 50% off .. my brother and I were eating Got Rice every weekend! However, the last time we ordered, my wife bit into a piece of chicken that was so rare, I think it may have started clucking. Best Chinese delivery within a 5 mile radius! I had been ordering from a so-so place before but after reading someone's recommendation on Yelp I decided to try this place. Dumplings - Coulda been stuffed a little more or rolled a little tighter, but as someone who's attempted to make these at home, I know it can be challenging. Orange Chicken - best. ever. Plain and simple. Pretty sure they've got an orange grove in the back and use it to birth these delicious nuggets of tender chicken. It was fresh and tasty, not at all hard or overly (or underly) orangey. Perfection Lo Mein - Probably the least greasy lo mein in existence. I was pleasantly surprised by the flavor and lack of grease. It seemed as if they had mixed older rice with new rice and served it up. The rice was so crunchy that it tasted as if I was eating rice straight from a bag. I called them and expressed what had happened and of course, they denied it. They told me that the rice wasn't "old" and that it was the same rice. I asked for a refund and they said they wouldn't give it to me unless they saw the rice. Ridiculous. This place will get you sick. They have done so much wrong and its ridiculous. The food is very good. I got egg drop soup and cashew chicken. My husband got the hot and sour soup and my shu pork. Everything was delicious. Especially his hot and sour. Some places don't know how to make it, but Got Rice got it right. My chicken was well cooked, with no gristle, just the way I like it. I would have like some salt and pepper on the tables but they didn't have it. That's my only criticism, . I would recommend this place if you want affordable take-out.
