We hired this company to clean our pool. The first month, they did a pretty good job. However, the next month, we prepaid for the entire month, and he showed up only for the first week. Then, he completely ghosted us and refused to respond to our texts or emails. As a result, we had three weeks of cleanings that we had paid for, and we're not happy about it. I didn't realize there were reviews on here or I would have read them. My experience was the same as others. Nothing ever his fault, I gave him benefit of the doubt several times, he would not respond to my texts, but the day our payment was due he was suddenly on it. His text just said "pool payment". Our pool was turning green while we weren't there, and I came back to a vacuum not working and pool stick on the bottom of the pool. No idea how long it had been since he cleaned and treated our pool. When I told him I wanted him to not call/text and not come back and send a refund, he called and called. Ridiculous. read more

Horrible communication, very unprofessional, and harassing me when trying to collect payment after service dates were unclear to me. I needed to research how often he had actually came because I never knew. Texted almost 10 o'clock at night and first thing in the morning, harassing me for money after less than one day, I had asked to research days he had actually showing up. When I asked to square up and cancel services and provided payment, his only response was insults and rudeness. Don't walk, run the other direction and find someone else! read more

i agree with all comments relating to this service. James provided great service for the first 6 weeks then I was left wondering if he was going to show up. I was texting him almost weekly to find out if he was going to come service the pool. I cancelled the service today for the reasons stated in the other reviews. He called and yelled at me then has sent several nasty texts calling me a liar and other things attempting to cover his tracks. Totally unprofessional. Beware! read more

Dont hire James if your not planning on being home to verify he actually cleaned your pool. Had to fire him after I discovered he was fabricating cleaning dates. One date he claimed he cleaned my pool I was actually home and told him I didnt need service that week, and he acklowledged that he didnt clean my pool, but still charged me for it. I also asked him for proof of service for 5/4 because I never received and email from him. When I ask him for proof of service for that day he gets defensive and then blames me that I didnt get the email. All I wanted him to send me was proof of service. He sends me a screen shot of his "service dates", which is when I discovered that he claims he was there during the week I was home and said I didnt need service. At that point I knew he could fabricate dates on his app that he uses and he needed to go. James doesnt like anybody questioning him about anything, he gets defensive and has no idea how to communicate with customers. 100% do not hire this guy. I wish there were no stars here. I agree with the other review here that states he has very erratic behavior. He was so nice when we met him. He seemed like he knew what he was doing. Long story short. He will start off strong to appease you and then he will no show. (I have one thing to say that is 100% our fault. When draining the pool our son accidentally pulled the plug to the pump and James came out to find pool was only half way drained. We felt so bad and patiently waiting for him to fit us back in his books.) For a almost a week he no showed and wouldn't answer texts. When he did answer he would say he would be there tomorrow. I got that three times before he finally actually came. When he finally texted back and said that he really was coming he said he had been sick with food poisoning. I said that is fine, but why couldn't text us and let us know? He had no answer for that. He just left us hanging while a newly filled pool started to cloud and turn green. So frustrating! He doesn't respond to texts until your reaching a breaking point. Then he snaps back at you and sends a million crazy texts defending himself. He weirdly attacked my husband on how our yard looks. Then me that I have too much time on my hands for replying to his abrasive texts. He texted me a week after we paid him and were done with saying he ran into our old pool claiming that we won't fixed things and we are the problem. Lies!! I contacted our old pool guy and he said that he is crazy he never said that. He said he just asked him if our pool is all fixed now? He made up all sorts of lies. Our old pool guy thinks he is crazy too. I attached a text from him today. James didn't know we are good terms and made up all these lies. We had no problem fixing anything James wanted us to fix. Three weeks of back and forth and it never was completed. My husband ended up fixing the plumping himself since James couldn't and we hired an other company to fix the pump and they did a terrific job in one day! 3 weeks of this guy was too much and we felt ripped off in the end. He said if we want he will give us some money back because we felt ripped, but we need to prove 1st how we were ripped off. I told him exactly how we felt ripped, but said to keep the money, we just wanted to move on. I had to block him because he wouldn't stop texting me then continued to text my husband. Its a nightmare people. Interesting all reviews here are negative and there isn't one good one here. Plus the BBB has complaints on him too. He says all those customers haven't paid him and he's put leans on their houses and that's why they are mad, but they all have similar stories like mine! Very fishy!! read more

Avoid at ALL costs! I hired James to drain, acid wash and re-fill my pool, as well as changing the filters on the floor of the pool, and the pool light. Said he also gives a free month pool service with large jobs. He did the drain and clean.....took several days to come back to finish the re-fill and balance the chemicals. I paid him then in full as he assured me he would be back the next day to finish the job and do the drains and the pool light. He didn't show up. Pool cleaning did not happen either. For five WEEKS, I texted and left voicemails, almost daily, asking for the job I had already paid him for, to be finished. Over that time he gave me days and times he would come to finish the job, THIRTEEN times, and never showed up. Every excuse under the sun.....funeral, birthday, pneumonia, family health issues, working late till 11.30pm every night...... until he did finally come and finish the job. Then he told me then that my pool light switch was broken, he took it apart, left LIVE wires hanging out, and promised to come back the next day to finish it. That was 6 days ago. I gave up and paid someone to finish the job as I don't have the energy to chase him any more. Found out he has 2 complaints against him with the BBB. read more

James started out great. Then all of a sudden no show on my day Thursday. Kept saying tomorrow. Never let's you know if not coming, and when you text to asking coming.he snaps back.just trying to make everyone happy. Icing on the cake. I was flying out of state on redeye that Thursday. So I sent a text asking if he could please come Thursday since I was not going to be home Friday. He says ok Thursday. Thursday comes 7 pm no james.i text to see if still coming. He replies tomorrow morning. .. no.i told you leaving tonight and won't be home. He says I'll see. Well no show no call...I am in Pennsylvania Friday and James calls.saying he can jump my wall to take care of my pool. That's the craziest thing I ever heard. No I am not home. And no you can't jump my wall. On next visit.i tell him I no longer want his service. He never said gee I'm sorry what can I do. Head down.Now he owes me a week since he didn't do my pool.so I waited and nothing. I am ent text asking for my week refund.his reply I wanted to come Friday you didn't let me. Who in their right mind asks to jump a block wall, I have dogs and neighbors with guns. Hell no... then he backtracks arguing he gave me extra chemicals the last time. No.new pool guy came next day, was not the case. Then when I challenged that he said extra week in March he gave a free week. Bottom line. Don't use James Got pool service.
