I'll definitely be back to try that. Service was quick and polite. We are surprised that we got bottles of water when ordering water. We also had mango lassis which were delicious but on the small side. We tried the chicken 65 as an appetizer. None of us had ever had it and we were all impressed. Deep fried nuggets of chicken covered in spices. For the main course we had butter chicken, chicken vindaloo, and palak paneer. We got them medium and they were spicey! I think the paneer was surprisingly the hottest but it was delicious. The vindaloo was very good as well. It had a stronger clove flavor than I'm used to but I really enjoyed it. There were bones in the chicken, which I don't mind, but I know some people do. The butter chicken was also very good and no bones. Three different buffet tables, a vegetarian, a meat based and a condiment and dessert bar. Truly worth the drive. The sauces were plentiful.

5/5 -- Exceptional Hospitality, Delicious Food, and True Value…read more Indian Curry Lounge absolutely deserves five stars -- not just for the food, but for the incredible hospitality, service, and value that make this place stand out in Harrisburg. I'll be honest: the location isn't the most inviting, especially at night. Walking in felt a little unusual at first -- but the moment we stepped inside, the experience completely turned around. The staff here are genuinely kind, attentive, and welcoming. The chef himself even came out to talk to us, asked if everything was good, and shared his story. That personal touch really made the whole evening memorable. You can tell they care deeply about their guests. Now, the food -- fresh, flavorful, and made with care: * Noodles were made exactly as requested -- mild for my child -- and still packed with flavor. * Curries were rich and delicious without being overly oily or spicy. * Naan was fresh, light, and fluffy -- one of the better ones I've had in the area. * Dosa was crispy and simple but very satisfying with the accompanying chutneys. * Chili Paneer wasn't as spicy as I prefer, but the texture was spot-on -- crispy, well-coated, and flavorful. * Samosas were definitely worth ordering -- perfectly fried and nicely spiced. But the highlight of the entire meal was the Tokri Chaat. It came in these adorable bite-size, crispy edible baskets filled with chickpeas, chutneys, yogurt, and spices. Beautifully presented and even better in flavor -- a creative twist done perfectly. Between the warm hospitality, the thoughtful service, and the great-tasting food, Indian Curry Lounge is truly a gem. Even with the location being a little off-putting at first, the people inside make you feel at home instantly. If you're in the Harrisburg area and craving Indian food with heart behind it, give this place a try. Five stars well deserved.

I normally always love Indian food but something about each dish was off. We got the Kodi vopidu (chicken stir fry) based on some prior Yelp reviews. It was ok but not super flavorful or impressive. Was not really a fan of the veggie korma--it was full of spices but not as creamy as I'm used to. The texture was almost grainy? The portions were a bit small as well for the price. My husband did get a lentil dish (not sure which one) which was the best out of the tree we ordered. Overall we were disappointed as Nalan had a very high Yelp rating (probably because of its nicer interior--cute wall with a word cloud of food) but the food itself was underwhelming. Staff have always been kind, friendly, and accommodating. Prices are relatively reasonable. My only complaint is take-out curry portions are kind of small. They are served in pint containers. For 12-16 bucks, it could be a little more generous. Nonetheless, I will continue to return for thier delicious food.

Mango lassi- full of food coloring and the cardamom flavor is so overpowering! You literally cannot even taste any mango. Idk why this lassi was orange bc mango lassi is usually yellow. Naan- literally pre made Costco naan. Not even fresh or in house made. And they're charging $3-$4 for one piece?! Bollywood Platter Appetizers- pakoras are just batter with orange food coloring. The chicken pakora was freezer burn chciken dipped in besan batter. Dumplings were probably the only thing my husband said was edible. Samosa was also below average- literally taste like the frozen ones from the Indian grocery store. So if they is also pre made Costco samosas I wouldn't be surprised. Butter chicken- the worst! Again. I don't understand why you need to use so much orange food coloring. Bland gravy. No salt, the cardamon flavor was so overpowering that it was not edible. Food was around $37-$40. Over priced horrible "Indian food". I even requested the gentleman who took my order to make it desi style so if this is desi style then idk what their regular food taste like. I have tried so many Indian restaurants around central pa and this was by far the WORST. If you want good AUTHENTIC Indian food go to Banana Leaf in Mechanicsburg. The standout dishes were the crab fried rice and chicken dumplings--the fried rice was packed with flavor, while the dumplings were incredibly tender and practically melted in your mouth. The spring rolls were also excellent, and both the pineapple and vegetable fried rice were well-executed and satisfying. The only miss for us was the Thai tea, which was a bit sweeter than we prefer. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it an enjoyable place to linger over lunch. Service was friendly and accommodating, though it was noticeably slow at times. The restaurant seemed a bit short-staffed and can get quite busy during lunch hours, which likely contributed to the wait. Overall, a very enjoyable meal with several standout dishes that I'd happily order again.
