We visited on a Saturday night in August and had reservations for 8pm. We arrived about 30 minutes early to check-in. The hostess was able to seat us about ten minutes early. The restaurant is constantly busy, so reservations are recommended. The restaurant has a nice vibe but it's not too upscale to the point that wearing jeans and a t-shirt was totally okay. They have a full bar as you walk in with bar stools at the counter. There are also a handful of tables in the bar area. The main dining area has several different table configurations that are sure to cater to most party sizes. There are no bathrooms inside the restaurant. They are located to your right as you exit the restaurant. Our server was pleasant, friendly and attentive. I ordered a Moscow mule and the beef Wellington. I found the mule to be quite tasty and refreshing. The yelp reviews seem to be all over the place regarding the Wellington, so I wasn't sure what to expect. The presentation of the plate was very elegant. I found the Wellington to be very tender and very flavorful. The breading around the meat was a nice touch. I found myself wanting more mashed potatoes, because they were extremely good. I found the price point for the Wellington to be fair considering how good it was. The service here is amazing. Everyone was checking in on us and was very nice. Everything was quick and painless. The vibes here are full on Hell's Kitchen. Everything is branded with the HK logo. You won't forget where you are, that's for sure. We ordered a penicillin cocktail and the sticky toffee pudding. The drink was great- very booze forward. Then came the pudding. If you haven't had it, its an ultra moist cake with toffee flavor and pieces topped with the most amazing caramel sauce. A truly special treat. While we didn't come to HK on this visit to try the actual food, I felt like our short experience here was still worthy of a 5 star review. On my last visit, I decided to stick with the standard menu and ordered the Corn and Crab Chowder as a starter and Braised Beef Short Rib for dinner. The soup had an immaculate presentation with service pouring the broth over the king crab and topping off with oil. The braised beef short rib was decent. I had a bite of my partner's Beef Wellington and preferred that more. For dessert, don't skip out on the Sticky Toffee Pudding. This is a Chef Ramsey classic for a reason! Overall, we had a good meal; however, the guest experience could be improved. We were seated right next to where the food goes out from the kitchen, which was decorated nicely with red and blue and the chefs standing in the area wore a red team and blue team outfit. It used to be so hard to get a reservation here. If we were lucky we'd get a seat outside the restaurant that encompasses the bar. That was always very entertaining as we faced the open kitchen and had the bartenders attention. My fiancé chose a steak and shared my dessert! They even brought out a complementary smaller dessert to celebrate our engagement. Everything was cooked beautifully and had amazing flavor! The Beef Wellington just melted in my mouth and the Pudding was sweet, rich and just as I hoped! I only had two complaints, which I'm sure anyone would expect the first: the price. Just over $100 for myself which is a bit pricey for us, but definitely worth the experience! The second was to please put more than four carrots and a tiny spread of potatoes on my plate if you're gonna make me spend $70 for it. We went to the Gordon Ramsay restaurant at the Silver Legacy in Reno, NV. Long story short, the service was so slow, that we had our Wellington entree and dessert boxed to go, sight unseen, as we were running late for our show. When I got home and opened the box, thus is what greeted me. Really? Gordon Ramsay? In it's defense, it WAS delicious, just abominably fugly. read more

However, we visited to have a celebration at a somewhat upper class well dressed establishment only to notice logo tee-shirts, hoodies & shorts seem to be acceptable ? HELLLLL YEEESSSS..... After approximately 4 - 5 ish SMOKING BARREL (gotta keep them coming) - this place is easily one of my all time favorite place to eat up in South Lake. I was a regular before "gambler anonymous." J/k, winners don't quit.... - smoking barrel: yummy presentation and very delicious. The rye, vermouth, and especially cherry wood awakes my GUSTATORY RECEPTORS. My PAPILLAE was happy. Our server, Alicia, was fantastic! She was very attentive and knowledgeable. The food was awesome! My husband had the beef Wellington and it did not disappoint. I had the lobster risotto and it was so good! We both ordered desserts, I had the sticky toffee pudding, it was wonderful! My husband had the apple cheesecake, which he really enjoyed. Amazing amazing service! Our waitress was so bubbly and made the experience great. Stand outs unsurprisingly were the Wellington and the sticky toffee pudding dessert. Although the food was good over all it definitely lacked in consistency and finesse a fine dining restaurant at this price usually has ie some icy chunks in the ice cream, little lobster casing in the risotto, uneven cook on some of the scallops. Overall good but not phenomenal. read more
