One of the best Gordon Ramsey restaurants I've been to! Being from Vegas, there are several Gordon Ramsey restaurants here. I honestly didn't expect this would be one of his best restaurants tucked in the Waldorf Astoria in Versailles. Since we were staying in the Waldorf, I made the reservation for dinner online a month prior. It was one of the best meals I've had in France! So glad we stayed at Waldorf. The brunch in the hotel was also by Gordon Ramsey. It was excellent as well. Ambiance: it was quiet and very boutique feeling where it had limited tables. Decor was alright, not very eye catching. Service: it was attentive, the typical high end restaurant feel. Food: I did the prestige menu. Scallops was prepared very nicely with caviar, fennel and pepper relish. I also enjoyed the cheese selection very much. If you come to Versailles, I definitely recommend you to make a reservation for this place. Even better, stay in Waldorf to have the brunch too!

I made online reservations for this restaurant for our first day when we were staying in the Waldorf. My reservation was for 8:00 PM and there were other dinners in here as well. Our server was quite nice and our water was filled all the time. I had a whiskey on the rocks because for me I'm not able to drink any wines. The inside seating and table are modern with a white cloth on top of the table. The plate setting was pretty and the food looked like little art pieces. Each item tasted nice and was rich in flavor. The butter on the bread that they give you is so rich and creamy! I think I could have eaten the butter by itself, that is how good it tasted. A wonderful dinner to start the same day as our check-in! Didn't feel rushed while dining here and it was just pleasant.

Wow wow wow. I really don't even know where to start. Absolutely the best dining experience I've ever had. As soon as I heard that we would be visiting Versailles during our trip to Paris, I knew that we had to try one of the Gordon Ramsay restaurants and this one happened to be open the night we were there. It was very convenient since we were staying at the Trianon Palace, which is gorgeous by the way. We started with the Rabbit appetizer which included rabbit 3 different ways. Absolutely the best Rabbit dish ever. For my entree I got the beef tenderloin and my boyfriend got the duck. Just incredible, and I'm not sure what my dessert was called, I just asked them to bring me the most popular one, and I could see why it was the most popular one. It was the best dessert that I tried the entire trip. Besides the food, the service was on point and the cocktails were phenomenal at a reasonable price. I am so glad that I was able to experience Gordon Ramsay au Trianon and I would recommend it to anyone vising Versailles looking for a great fine dining experience.

We came here for our honeymoon dinner. The service is something I had never experienced before- just outstanding! We had the7 course meal with the wine pairing as well. Very French cuisine. Top of the line presentation. Nothing was out of place and everything was exactly on point. If you come for the 7 course meal with the wine pairing expect to spend over €600-700 min just FYI. Of course they have individual entrees as well so not sure of the price point that way. Also be sure to dress up. A tux is not needed but if you came in anything less than a nice dress or a good button down and slacks you would most certainly feel out of place.

Chose to do the tasting menu as this was going to be one of our last meals in Europe I found the overall experience to be very good. There were 3 amuse bouche offerings followed by the tasting mains, a cheese course and 2 desserts. Needless to say I was stuffed!! I think price-wise the food is inline with the overall tasting menu: my pro-tip would be to order wine by the glass or do the wine pairing. I ended up ordering a bottle of wine recommended by the sommelier which was good; but quite expensive and I am guessing that a pairing would have done some of the dishes more justice. It would have also actually brought the cost down by a few hundred euro. Oh and the Mille Feuille is hands down THE best I've ever had. I've had dreams about it since I returned home and will go back to Versailles just for it next time I am overseas. It was a 10/10.

3-Michelin stars, 2-Michelin stars, what's the difference? Maybe I am not a refined human being, but if I had any power in the Michelin world, I would award this restaurant 3 stars according to my experience. I... don't even know how to start this review. The service was astounding. When I sat down, I was immediately asked if I had any allergies with an offer to accommodate whatever my issues were (I just so happen to be allergic to eggs and avocados so this was greatly appreciated). And my husband was not told that a sports jacket was mandatory. So he got to enjoy his meal without getting too toasty in his short-sleeve polo shirt. We had four different types of butter shaped in front of our eyes. We were served seaweed, spicy, buckwheat, and plain salted butter with an unlimited supply of fresh French bread (which is the best bread, no bias over here). I was so entranced with their expertise in using two wooden paddles to shape the butter into cubes, diamonds, cylinders, and cones. It was true artistry (also - I LOVE bread and butter like none other, so maybe this is why I am so obsessed with this experience). We enjoyed the 10-course degustation because we are foodies and obsessed with Gordon Ramsay. Compared to other Michelin-starred restaurants, I did not consider the 120 euro price for this experience to be terrible. In fact, I found this to be a great value. Too amateur to fully describe the dishes, I will say that the degustation was a sampling of courses on the à la carte menu. When we dined, this included an eggy soup (for me they substituted cauliflower and it was so divine!), duck foie gras, sea bass, shrimp-stuffed pesto ravioli, beef, a pre-dessert including a cheese and roasted apples, a dessert choice including an unforgettable minty sorbet, a smoky crunchy dessert, and another chocolate dessert. They also gave us a special plate to congratulate us on our honeymoon. I found the portion sizes to be heftier than a usual degustation, which, as a fat-ass, I also appreciated. Oh, and the last point I'll make is, for some reason, these fancy restaurants have a habit of giving the ladies the menu without prices. I was a fool and first assumed that this meant that everyone gets a menu without prices because if you're there "you're not thinking about that!" But no - they give the man the menu with the prices AND the check every time! If you're a lady, you'll get a "gift" at the end. It's a little bit annoyingly sexist, but if that's the mentality with which 99% of the diners operate, then I can't blame them for catering to their usual non-riff raft population unlike me and my husband. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. I would fly another 10 hours to Charles de Gaulle airport and take the RER train direct to Versailles just to eat there again. I do not feel this way about every Michelin-starred restaurants we ate at during our 3-week stay in France and Italy. Gordon Ramsay at Trianon Palace was definitely better than La Pergola in Rome and Imagò in Rome, but I'd say on par with Le Doyen in Paris (although probably a better value because it is much less expensive)

Fantastic dinner experience and service. We did the prefix menu and was easily one of the best dining experiences we have ever had. Staff was courteous and attentive, food outstanding. 8 PM dinner reservation went till about 11 PM so I would be mindful about train times out of Versailles.

Michelin 3 star restaurant. Innovative artisan food. Not main strean. Do not look for fillet of beef, caprese salad or escargot. Very unique. Excellent service, pre-meal servings, etc...

Best meal of my trip! Beautiful setting in a classy room over looking pasture with grazing goats. Service was excellent. Tried the set lunch with starting with bread, endive with dips such as caviar cream, bread sticks, olive oil and aged balsamic oil, butter. These were just snacks. The amusee buche was yummy not sure what the ingredients were though. Then I had the cod ravioli. This was good but the ravioli was tough and so I just scooped the yummy fish out. I liked the paper thin slices of cauliflower and broccoli decorating this dish. For my main course I tried the lamb. It was perfect and served with mushrooms. I had this with a glass of their red wine, which was perfect. The highlight though was the yuzu sorbet. It was amazing! Then I had the most expensive espresso of my life! Ugh! But it was good and came with two mini white chocolate covered vanilla ice cream pieces. At the end of the meal, they wheeled over a big assortment of sweets to choose from. Yum! The whole experience was superb!

Except they know like us somebody living three streets away from this place. Le Moutbaron is a pub/bistro/billardhall and in the daytime it looks as if it's been closed since the 80ies. Kind of shabby, not that inviting in the daylight. But just like Robert Pattinson it looks way more inviting from dusk till dawn. We've been there twice. First because we just didnt't find any other place to get a beer on a saturday night in Versailles. It was kind of crowdet and the service needet a while. We also had a little problem communicating, since one of the waitresses (is the the plural of waitress? I hope so) spoke english just as bad as I speek french, but we tried our best and got what we ordered. (Two beer called Stella, better tham Kronbourg anyway). Actually we had a nice night there and even another Stella, whice was about 6 EUR, as far as I remember, a normal price in France. Oh right now on their webside they disclaim 4,80EUR. I don't remember it beein that cheap? Strange. Ah OK, I see it's the daytime card. At night (after 7 pm) 6EUR was right. Strange onlinecard though. The second time we went there for dinner accompained by our host living nearby and speaking better french than me. The menue was bilingual strange, because, unlike many places in Paris with only a french menue I don't think many tourist go astray to find this. I was very interested in fries on salad for about 5EUR. I wondered what this would look like. (I was serious, i did never mean to make fun of the French and their english) The boys went for burgers (about 12EUR). And fries. Big fat french fries. They're awesome. The waiter this night as far as I remeber one of the owners was speeking english quite good and considering his T-shirt was a fan of the british empier anyway. I asked for the fries on salad. Seriously. He looked a bit surprised and step by step we found out that it simply was a misspelling an meant was fries OR salad. In French it was spelled right of course, but as I said my French sucks. All of us laught about it and I got a really big bunch of fries and an even bigger salad on top. The food was OK, the boys liked their burgers, I think that the fries as well as the salad would have liked some more salt and pepper, but our host told us before that this is pretty normal in France. They generally spice very coutiously here. After all we had a fun night here. It was warm, we sat close to a window, and whenever the boys went out to have a smoke, they stood in frot of my window an I was leaning over the window bench like a kiosk lady. It's a fun place. You can definately go there. I never played billard there cause I hate billard. Ok, I didn't expect i was able to write such a long article in English. Please correct mistakes if you find them.
