My husband had the saumon with creme and he agrees it was pretty basic as well. The service saves this review as it was very friendly and I enjoyed speaking with our server. She loved that I was doing well with learning French which really does elevate the French experience. The ambiance was exactly what you hope for in the Parisian experience. Overall, I didn't think they were anything that great. The soup was fine but nothing special really, and some of the croutons it came with were burnt. The chicken was also a little bland and the potatoes were slightly dry. The salad and baguette were great though. This was such a cute and cozy restaurant and I loved the decor and ambiance inside though!

Seriously. He looked a bit surprised and step by step we found out that it simply was a misspelling an meant was fries OR salad. In French it was spelled right of course, but as I said my French sucks. All of us laught about it and I got a really big bunch of fries and an even bigger salad on top. The food was OK, the boys liked their burgers, I think that the fries as well as the salad would have liked some more salt and pepper, but our host told us before that this is pretty normal in France. They generally spice very coutiously here. After all we had a fun night here. It was warm, we sat close to a window, and whenever the boys went out to have a smoke, they stood in frot of my window an I was leaning over the window bench like a kiosk lady. It's a fun place. Same if you want soda refills or ice-that's not a French thing. The food was excellent. Our group tried the chicken burger, a cheeseburger, 4-cheese tagliatella, and cappocia, all except the pasta came with fries. The fries were so delicious, and if you want a more French experience have them with house mayo instead of ketchup. We had grilled pate fois gras for a starter and that was interesting. Good but unique-it reminded me of French toast. We also tried three desserts: chocolate cake, crème brûlée, and the dessert of the day panacotta. The panacotta was my favorite of these but all were good. The hostess brought us complimentary macarons as well (so nice) and I will say my first taste of pistachio macaron will not be my last. Far exceeded any expectations! This is a spot I'd recommend you try.
