Crèpe du Jour et Café Crème

Excellent Crêpes. Service was courteous and professional. Very pleasant restaurant. Good atmosphere and good food. Definitely a good stop when visiting the Sun King palace

The food is so delicious! We had a salad, sweet and savory crepes with hot chocolate and espresso. The ambiance is like a busy cafe. We were hungry so sadly no food photos.

The location is amazing - it's right across the street from Versailles palace and that's the major reason to go there. The menu is mostly sweet and savory crepes, but there are salads and tartines as well. There are many options available including vegetarian options. We got a tartine, which was basically a bad pizza, a savory crepe (caprese) which was reasonably good, and 2 sweet crepes which were fine. We came on a weekend, but the restaurant was definitely understaffed and service was a bit slow.

Love this place so much, we went back right away for the next meal. We have a party of 5 and all of us love their food. Both savory and sweet are wonderful. Price is reasonable too.

Went here for dinner. The waiter wasn't that friendly, come to think of it, none of the staff was that friendly. Lots of seating outside, and a good amount inside as well. The menu has lots of pancakes and crepes. There's some salads and a couple of burgers. I ordered their own burger and it came with pancakes as a bun, I didn't like that, it tasted bitter. The burger inside a bit dry but not too bad. For service we had to ask for everything like utensils and more water. It was frustrating.

What a lovely little crepes place located in Versailles. Their slogan is peace love and crepes! The gentleman that greeted us was very friendly and we got to sit in a cute little table next to the window. You can tell the place is pretty popular since it was pretty pack. They have a great list of both salty and sweet options crepes. I went with salty and ordered the La Roma. It was a delicious crepes filled with ham (and by ham I mean magical and delicious ham, not what we tend to think of as ham), eggplant, tomatoes, mozzarella and olive oil basil. This choice was definitely a great one. The crepe was perfect, with a little crispiness to it. The service was very fast and friendly. I was very happy with this suggestion our tour guide gave us.

The combo comes with a savory galette AND a dessert crepe! Also, the cider that came with it was quite good. I wish I could have got a whole bottle. I'm pretty basic with my desserts because I don't have a huge sweet tooth. I got a simple butter and sugar crepe - it was light, buttery(but not greasy), and sweet. My savory selection had chicken and bacon. My friend's had ham with bacon and baby potatoes in it. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal! It's less than a 5 minutes walk from Versailles, right across from the bus parking lot. If I come back to France and visit Versailles again, I'd love to eat here again!

The staff were nice. Always helps to try using French. The crepes were wonderful. And it's a nice little spot.

Just northeast of the entrance into the palace of Versailles, it's quite the charming cafe. My husband I found they make a great Crepe to go. We both tried the Nutella, along with an espresso and hot chocolate, which was delicious and creamy. They also offered crepes with jam and fruit, or meat and cheese. The ambiance was relaxed and the server was friendly. What a great little Crepe and coffee shop.

Very happy son. With kids special. Nutella crepe

Located right outside of the Palace , this was the perfect spot before going into The Palace. Although if I had to do it again, I would take the crepe to go and eat it while waiting to get into the Palace. Because it's a very long wait before entering. Even with a ticket. I had the savory le summer with salmon, grilled eggplant, salad, goat cheese and walnuts. Yum. My son had the kids special. A savory ham and cheese with a small Nutella crepe and apple juice. Very cute decor so I enjoyed eating there.

Super convenient after visiting Versailles Palace because it's right across the street. There's a great variety of crepes that are really satisfying and the hot chocolate was like drinking liquid cake. Definitely a memorable cafe that had unique French crepes, a cute atmosphere, and friendly staff who were super accommodating to English speakers.

La Place was a 5-10 minute walk from the entrance of Versailles. We ate a late lunch there and took time off of our feet after spending 4 hours at Versailles. It is a trendy small cafe specializing in crepes. The food was really great and affordable. Tourist friendly with English speaking staff and English translations on the menu.

They had burger crepes, seafood crepes, kebab crepes, pepperoni crepes, etc. Anything you can think of, they can make it a crepe. I MUST shout out our server, whose name I believe is Lea. I had a front row seat to greatness. She was the ONLY server working in a packed lunch rush, and that performance she put on was inspirational. She was doing the job of at least 4 people, and doing it damn well. We heard not one complaint from a customer. It's the best carry-job I've seen since watching LeBron carry a bum filled 2007 Cavaliers team to an NBA Finals. I went with the seafood crepe, and that puppy came STACKED with prawns and scallops. These seared scallops were to die for. My girlfriend got a charcuterie crepe that was aesthetically pleasing, but more importantly, delicious. SHOUT OUT TO LEA! Some alleyways off the main path can offer surprises. The Creperie des 2 Portes was one of those surprises. It had a tasty assortment of different crepes to indulge in. I had one built around pepperoni and my wife had a vegetarian one. Of course there was also a large draft beer and wine to help us cool down to prepare for our eventual wandering back to the train station and return to Paris.

On the menu there is a section for extras, and you have the option of paying 2€ per egg. Arnaud simply stated that he would not put that order in. At first, I thought it was a communication error on my part, so I tried to point to the menu items we were requesting. He said "we will not put the eggs on the side, only on top". This would mean putting the eggs in a pool of chocolate sauce, so I asked why, and he replied "Welcome to France". I swallowed my ire, and asked if he wouldn't mind asking the chef, and he said, "the chef said no". Just to illustrate how insane this interaction was, we were sitting directly in front of the kitchen, I was looking into the chef's eyes as I asked, and Arnaud did not even turn around when he answered for the man. My husband saw me getting visibly upset at this point, and said we would take the eggs on top then, and he would have the same thing (we had arrived that morning and were exhausted with 3 children who we were just trying to get fed at this point). His response to my husband is the reason I'm warning women, and not Americans in general. He refused to look at me and responded, "eggs might be strange with the chocolate sauce, I can put the sauce on the side, but just for you". WHAT?!? I did not want to give them one star, because after this ridiculous interaction, the kind chef who had locked eyes with me earlier PUT THE EGGS IN A SMALL SIDE DISH for my child. Which tells me two things; one, I was not being rude or asking for things that weren't on the menu, and two, that Arnaud was in fact being unreasonable, and they have probably had to apologize for his behavior toward women in the past. As a side note, this is FAR from my first time in France. We actually live in Spain, and from Paris, to Nice, Cannes, Épernay, and Reims, I have never had an interaction like this. Apologies again to the chef for this star rating. Your food was flavorful, and your kindness to my child was even better.
