    Pea and beat ravioli soup
    Ken R.

We scored a good seat at the observation bar so we had a first class show of the chefs hard at work. Everyone should splurge on a "show" like this if you can afford it. If you watched Bear on Netflix you will be used to the chef barking an order and the response being a resounding "chef" or "yes chef" by the kitchen. The wine list was pretty insane from a price perspective but we found/ got directed to a great French red. The pictures of the food say it all. There were a couple of "Meh's" in the lineup. The ravioli soup didn't work at all from a taste and texture perspective and the vanilla foam dessert was more of a pallet cleanser than another course. We were rushed through the first few courses which were off putting and there was no real engagement with the servers about the food which is normal course for this setting.

This was such a unique and memorable experience to wrap up our Europe trip! We arrived in Paris an hour and a half late from flight delays, and were traveling since 6 am that morning. I was so past the point of exhaustion, I wanted to cry thinking about having to put on a dress and go to dinner, but I am SO glad we pushed through. From the minute you walk in, you are treated with such respect, and everyone from the sommelier to the pastry chefs display such a deep passion for cuisine artistry. We ordered about 10 dishes, and all were so unique and complex in flavor, and watching the chefs work their magic in graceful chaos (btw, highly recommend sitting at the counter) was like watching 20 mini Picassos creating masterpieces.

This is a 2 part review first for the 1 Michelin star Pavylon gastronomic brunch. Perfect refined setting, enjoy sunny day at the park in their garden setting. Badaboam eggs filled with eel and caviar is like tasting jewels of the seas, sea bass and lobster all done to perfection, have never had lobster so tender. The cordon bleu was divine, kids devoured in a minute. The review for Alleno, the 3 Michelin star dinner service. The restaurant reaches out days in advance to learn your preferences and names of the dining party so that they can properly address you, and know of your likes, potential allergies. Setting is very upscale and semi-private with translucent decorate screens, view of Champ-Elysees park and Petit Palais. You can dine a la carts, or if you have 3.5 hrs you can enjoy the tasting menu. All bites full of flavor, elegance, luxury.

    Cheese souffle with foie gras

Walked in this Michelin starred restaurant with no reservations. The best seats are on the counter watching the chefs prepare the curated meals. It was pricy and the experience in itself was one of a kind. It's like a tasting menu option. There is a wine-pairing option too. The highlights were the cheese souffle with foie gras, sea bream, cheese plate, and dessert. Armagnac to cap the evening was a nice touch. Service was top notch from the front of the house to the sommelier and down to a squad of chefs and line cooks.

Michelin 3 Stars!!! Probably one of the best I had tasted~ Fancy and creative~ Worth of trying and fun of eating~

All I can say is that when I sat down, they immediately informed me that they got the note about my allergies and to not worry, that I can order ANYTHING on the menu and they would accommodate. I stared at the waiter wide-eyed and slack-jawed and I think I even stopped breathing. Above and beyond. They truly know how to take care of you. Plus, most romantic dinner ever.

The Pigeon was served medium rare - delicious!

Extremely pleased to visit the Pavillon Ledoyen during our stay in Paris. With the 3-star Michelin restaurant still closed upstairs (reopening in September) and was crowned #25 Top Best Restaurant, we booked the counter seats which featured 2 price-fixe menu (150 Or 250 euro) as well as the a la carte option. The Dom perignon 2010 was offered as part of the by the glass program at 55 euro which is quite a steal and very enjoyable. We opt for a la carte and chose the shiso leaf tempura with caviar and the pigeon, both were executed well. Pigeon was served medium rare, thinly sliced with a garlic pesto like sauce that was extremely tender. The lobster bolognese was a bit over-salted. There were some confusion over our reservation (we did not reconfirm our booking as I figured it was a credit card secured reservation they charge you if no show) but I have to say they recovered miraculously - that's what a 3 star Michelin star front of the house is about!

In A Nutshell: -If you are looking for the ultimate French restaurant experience, look no further than - Ledoyen. -This three Michelin star restaurant which has been open since 1792, is located in the Champs-Elysees area of Paris. -Expect to spend close to 4 hours eating here, it will test your endurance. -The service is the best you can get, all suited up & ready to serve you w/ the knowledge of everything on the menus. -You can either order a la carte or go w/ the prix fixe menu. -I opted for the prix fixe menu, which was very unique. -I love that Normandy butter, so creamy, it could almost be a cheese. -If you love dessert you'll get three servings of desserts. -What ever path you choose, expect to pay a mortgage & that's no joke. Overall, there's a lot of history in the two-story building, people like Claude Monet even shared a meal here. Check it out.

For my 600th Yelp review, I've chosen Ledoyen because it became one of my most memorable haute cuisine experiences. This is exactly the kind of restaurant I expect from 3 Michelin starred restaurant. If you want to indulge yourself in an ultimate frou frou and decadent dining experience, Ledoyen would be a great choice. I suggest to go for lunch because you'll save a lot of €€€. This is one of the oldest restaurants in Paris and some of the notable patrons include Napoleon, Danton, Monet and Degas. The gorgeous neo-classical architecture provides a stunning setting, with note-worthy ornate ceiling decorations and a beautiful view of the garden outside. I really loved the old world atmosphere, it's hard to beat this level of perfection. The service is impeccable and extremely formal. Make sure you are dressed to the nines or otherwise you will feel so out of place. I'm so glad there was a Japanese-speaking waitress who translated the menu for me because there is no English version.... Only in French!! The food presentation was so beautiful and creative, the interesting texture and the tasty flavors were such pleasures to my senses. The ginger bubble appetizer was particularly interesting with such burst of flavor. This is a great example of well executed molecular gastronomy , in which unique artsy appearance equals the quality of the taste. Mushroom pizza was also off the hook, I loved it! Green sea urchin mixed with shaved ice and cheese was refreshing and had a surprisingly simple flavor . For the main dish I ordered seafood (lobster, shrimp, scallop & fish) served with rich scrumptious brown sauce. It was so delicious that I could say it was one of the best seafood dishes I've eaten. The other option for the main dish was pork but it wasn't as good as the seafood. After the main dish, the waitress brought a cart filled with almost 20 different kinds of expensive cheese so I tried like 7 cheese and that alone was a great bonus! And the dessert was also another highlight, the meringue with rose and lychee dissolved in my mouth and satisfied my taste buds with such fresh flavor! I spent about €130 per person for lunch but I think this is such a great value!! Everything was phenomenal, this is my top 5 meals I had in my life!

I was a bit disappointed at this 3 Mitchell stars restaurants given it didn't provide us with the satisfaction we got from Le Cinq, Epicure and Arpege. We came here for lunch and was a bit irritated that the lady whom confirmed my reservation told me I need to wear a jacket just to find out I was only person wearing one. Obviously you need to wear nicely but a jacket isn't required at this place obviously specially if you are doing lunch. We went with the tasting menu. Even though the presentation was amazing the food taste lacked the wow factor the other restaurants we dined in had. To be fair the dessert at this place was superior to the other restaurants mentioned above. Specially the rhubarb. Overall wouldn't go here for the price tag and would try one of the three restaurants mentioned above. Le Cinq is easier to book for lunch and their tasting menu is almost half this place tasting menu price wi

This place is very deserving of its 3 Michelin stars! Recommendations: Duckling cooked with malt, wagyu beef "gunma" grade 4, Langoustine tart topped with Oscietra caviar, and the Roasted duck Foie gras Price: $275+ Absolutely EVERYTHING about this place is perfect. From the service (all workers were extremely attentive, professional, and kind) to the food (Everything here was filled with flavor) to the location (right on the Jardin Tulleries). My personal favorite was the duckling cooked with malt. It came out in two different parts (both parts were good and pictured, but I loved part 1 so much!). Part 1 came out as a sort of pastry, which really caught me off guard. The duck was on top of this flaky and perfectly flavored pastry that I crave to this day. Should I be in Paris again, I will definitely be here again! Oh, my friend and I also got a cup of 21 year aged The Macallan and a glass of 2011 Chateau d'Yquem (delicious dessert wine)- YUM!

This review is for the 3 Michelin star Alléno Paris restaurant. Took my wife to Paris for her 50th birthday. Treated her to a Michelin starred restaurant everyday for 5 days. Alléno was the final restaurant on our list. Dimitri from Alléno called before we left Los Angeles days prior to inquire about our reservations. He noted any allergies, and what my wife typically wanted. In addition, he requested a photo of my wife and to attach any message for her personalized menu. I humbly requested to have her menu also signed by Chef Yannick Alléno too. I was not disappointed! My wife was floored seeing her picture on her menu. Everyone who served us that night from the front door up to the dining area was exceptional. They were friendly, warm, & quite attentive. The ambience of the place was classic, charming, & warm fully inviting. The food served that night was nothing short of spectacular! The kitchen was firing on all cylinders. I was getting heart flutters every time a new set of utensils were being placed on our table in anticipation of the next dish! This placed capped off our Michelin restaurant tour with a loud bang! It was a delightful dining experience from the instant we walked through the door, & up to our departure. This place will clearly define what the difference is between a 1, 2, & 3 star rated Michelin restaurant. An experience never to be forgotten! Thank you everyone at Alléno Paris. Well done!!! Merci beaucoup from my wife & I.

Not up to par with other 3 star Michelin places! This experience was a major letdown I had dinner at Epicure (Bristol Hotel) the night before eating at Ledoyen, so I can directly compare the experiences. Ledoyen was dull, with inferior service, and recipes and execution that did not emphasize great creativity or high levels of enjoyment. I ordered the tasting menu, expecting depth and complexity in the dishes, along with expensive ingredients (eg. foie, caviar, high quality beef or seafood; similar to the many photos I saw on Yelp), but what I received was bland, simple dishes that were overall not a pleasure to experience. The asparagus with cream sauce, duck, and langostino were the best dishes of the night, but I have had better at numerous restaurants. The best course was the fromage (and the Hennessy cognac). The service was dour and not as attentive as Epicure. The tempture of the room was hot and uncomfortable. The dinner lasted around 4 hours and I have never wanted to leave quciker at a fine dinning resturant than this one. Epicure was so much of a better experience than Ledoyen, it is ridiculous. In a different league.

The richness of the flavor and the texture which is not reminiscent of the traditional roasted duck or foie gras, but rather a much more like a luxurious and indulgent version. We enjoyed our dinner on the outside of the restaurant after about a 20-30 minute wait. The bone marrow had the best flavor I've experienced for the dish. However, it is definitely overshadowed by the rich flavor of the foie gras. This experience was unforgettable, with our view of Parisian streets on a brisk, April night. We even came back on our last night, but didn't realize the hours on Google maps was for the deli. The restaurant closes earlier, before 9:00 PM. This meal got us thinking about Paris in a positive light, and we hope to be able to come back to eat the amazing dishes again!

They had a number of goods to choose from and I ended up buying a few things for souvenirs. As for the actual restaurant, they had a number of delicious sounding items on their menu. Our server was very attentive to us and helped us decide on our dinner orders. Similar to the other restaurants though. After our food was delivered, it was far in between when we were checked on again. And after dessert it took even longer for our server to bring the bill. Overall, the food was a letdown. I do not exaggerate when I say that the frog legs just tasted like slightly flavored water. My friend's ravioli had a fairly decent flavored sauce but the pasta was a bit chewy. My friend's duck breast was pretty tough; I had noticed the table next to us also ordered it and they seemed to have trouble finishing/cutting theirs as well. As for my steak with foie gras, well the steak was once again tough and the foie gras was weirdly stringy. It was soft for the most part but there were parts that were tough and stringy. Maybe that's a section that's generally separated in the preparation process and it was missed? In any case it was disappointing. What wasn't disappointing was dessert though; perfectly sweet and balanced.

The egg yolk makes a great sauce to soak up this cheesy and hammy toast. This came with a salad on the side which had a vinegar based dressing coated on it. The only thing is we had miscommunication with the waitress about drinks. We asked for water (l'eau) but they gave us distilled water in a bottle which costed us 8 euros. I learned it's important to learn to specifically ask for carafe d'eau (tap water in French) to get free water! Felt a bit bad that we were overcharged. Just gotta be careful with communicating next time. All in all, I enjoyed trying the amazing sandwich that is a croque madame. Wanted to give 4 stars for the food but the bottled water still irks me.
