I was recently referred to Gordon and I've had a great experience with him as my dentist. My girlfriend and I compared a few dentists and we even cross checked with our insurance, and Gordon's office was the only one that was honest with the pricing. He has impeccable attention to detail and seems to be a bit of a perfectionist (to your benefit). During my initial teeth examination he scooted his chair back and forth numerous times between examining my teeth and jotting down notes of flaws with my teeth. The same happened during my first filling session so he could double check his notes. After each filling he spent a lot of time making sure he trimmed down the new filling to make sure that my teeth can comfortably chew and close. He went the extra mile to make sure the gap in between my teeth was sufficient so I can floss comfortably. I feel like these are the fundamentals of dentistry and Gordon cares to uphold these fundamentals. I cannot say the same about my previous dentists. I was shocked that after the first session, my mouth closed more comfortably and even chewing food was more comfortable and natural. Gordon's assistant Jackie is also fantastic. She's friendly, funny, and versatile. She doubles as Gordon's dental assistant and receptionist. She even held my girlfriend's hand for comfort while she was getting anesthesia shots. read more

This is what happened at the new dentist that John went to, to look at what Gong did. It turns out his crown hurt because Gong broke it or filed it too much and it didn't cover the root of the tooth that Gong had just had him get a root canal on at the Endodontist. Food and bacteria could easily get in there and get lodged. Here he wanted John to go back to the Endodontist and tell her he has a problem with it. Why he would have John go to the Endodontist and see his substandard work is beyond us!!! The new dentist, who is Great, said the crown needs to be redone or it will rot away the root and he'll need an implant. The two lower teeth are the real reason he went to another dentist so soon. He had Novocain and couldn't feel the two teeth when he was rushed out of Gong's. Gong had just made a little bridge between the teeth on top of them and left a big hole under that between the teeth. The filling on the back one fell out in three days and the little bridge fell off too. The teeth were way sensitive to cold and John had to constantly use a tooth pick to get food out of there. He asked the new dentist why the filling fell out and she said "The filling material won't stick to rot!!! Gong filled the tooth before getting all the cavity and rot out. John asked "What about the forward tooth next to it? She said it has a cavity at the gum line and Needs a crown. John said "He didn't fill that tooth?" She said "No"!!! So Gong blatantly lied!!! Both of those teeth have crowns now. I called Gong's office prior to John going to the new Dentist to get the X-rays and told them the permanent filling fell out and we want our money back. He did respond and returned the money for the filling , but admitted no fault. Once the new dentist said she has to replace the crown on the tooth that had the root canal, John was mad and wrote Gong a letter explaining all the inept work he did and that we're going to sue him. He responded by mail saying he is releasing John as a patient!!! Really?? Let's see, you took a Hippocratic Oath, lied, and completely did a botch job and you're releasing him?!? Bottom line, whoever thinks their fillings and crowns are good from Gong, you better get a second opinion from some dentist that is reputable. We're posting this review for all the other victims. You might be fine, but likely there's more rot going on. That leads to more money for him. A filling turns into a crown, a root canal and a crown, or an implant, which we're sure can be done wrong too!!! Stay away and get your teeth checked by a reputable dentist. We should have checked his reviews, our bad, but we figured this is dentistry 101, he has a dental license with the dental board, this work is bad. We're going to sue him. We never sue anyone!!! He needs to be stopped and not practice anymore. Yes, John wrote him a letter, and told him all this. You'd think he'd care...Nope. Although John has zero time, he's going to make sure everyone knows about Gong on every platform and take him to court. We gave him a chance and he released John as a patient. Not a professional way to handle this. Just wanted you to know to keep looking for a reputable dentist, read their reviews, and see the signs (which you will once the X-ray machine is in view). Also, one of these reviews says he doesn't have the little polisher to clean your teeth. He just scrapes the plaque off with a dental pick!!! If that's true that's nuts!!! Dr. Gong is horrible!! I went to him for a cavity because he accepted my insurance and my previous dentist had retired. He took a bunch X-rays on a prehistoric machine, like the dentist I had in the 60's had. Which I heard emits way more radiation than the current modern machines you'll find at 90 percent of the other dentists offices. He concluded I needed a root canal and referred me to an Endodontist. The Endodontist was Great!! Then I returned to Gong's office for a temporary crown. Boy was that temporary!! It fell out the next day, so I called and told the receptionist Jackie that the crown fell out. She made an appointment for a couple of days later, as I told her I was going to a wedding in Oregon, and didn't want to show up missing a tooth. I went to the appointment and he put in more epoxy and made a make shift tooth. A couple of days later the temporary fell out again, but I was leaving early the next morning for Oregon, so I had to go to the wedding without a tooth. I hadn't seen these people in years, so that sucked. I got back and had an appointment for him to put in the permanent crown. I went to his office and sat in the chair. He pulled a crown out of a kit he had in his drawer that he got at Dental Mart or something. He was trying different ones to match the color with my teeth. He can't pronounce teeth or tooth, he says toof. I didn't care about that, but as he's whittling at this crown for my toof, he keeps trying it in my mouth, with sharp edges, and trying to jamb it in. His assistant Jackie (Who is the receptionist and dental assistant (I have my doubts she's gone to school for this) had rubber gloves on and pulls your lip out of his way, so he can work. The problem is , she pushes down or up depending on what toof he's working on, so it's on the inside of your other teeth, and she's pulling hard, so it hurts because your lip is smashed between your teeth and her finger. If you don't want your hair messed up, too bad, they both pass you constantly brushing the top of your head with their bodies. It's really irritating, to say the least!! He finally finished the crown and I left. The crown didn't feel right, to high, too fat, and irritation at the gum line. I'll get back to this, but meanwhile I had a very back tooth on the lower left side that I had noticed while I was eating a steak, was getting food stuck in between it and the next tooth forward of it. Reluctantly, my wife made another appointment to have that fixed, figured a simple filling, and I was busy, so no time to try someone new. He took more X-rays with the prehistoric machine, which I was surprised at because he had already X-rayed my whole mouth the first time a couple of months before. Now I'm thinking "Am I getting exposed to too much radiation?" Anyway, I just wanted to get it done and get out of there. Then he said he couldn't do it that day, because the tooth in front has a cavity too, and it's below the gum line, so he has to do the filling on that tooth, when he removes the old filling on the back tooth, then get the cavity below the gum line on the front tooth, then put a new filling on the back tooth. Made sense to me, so I said okay. That required another appointment 1.5 hours long. I showed up for that appointment and went through the painful agony of the lip being smashed against my teeth, messed up hair, and general roughness. Seemed like he was having a hard time. Jackie left and came back and told him his next patient was in the waiting room. He wrapped me up quick and said, "okay, try and keep it clean" I said what? It's fixed right? I said , You got the cavity below the gum on the tooth in front right? He said "Yeah yeah and was trying to get me out the door. I knew he was lying because of the way he said it. I said, also this crown you did hurts (I told him about that when I came in for the cavities on the two lower teeth and he said he'd look at it when he did the fillings on the lower teeth). He said, that's not my problem, go back to the Endodontist that did the root canal. He was irritated and called the next patient from the waiting room. I looked at Jackie and she just gave me a blank stare. I went home and had my wife get me an appointment with another dentist, that took our insurance. I went there and it was the difference between night and day. State of the art X-ray machines, lots of assistants that have gone to school, and the ergonomic chair even gives you a massage. I got the feeling right away, they were top notch. My wife had gone to Gong's office to get my X-rays and they gave her a little package of film. I brought that with me to the new dentist, and she was appalled. She wouldn't say anything negative, unless I specifically asked, but she did say that film says a lot. She took X-rays again, because she said the film was not good enough to work off of. I can see why now, her machine even gives you a color photo. Continued!! read more

I had bad experience at another dentist office who charged me 150$ for a filling and charge me money for office visit and covid fee. I then transfer to Dr. Gong and had a very positive experience. His charge was very reasonable, it was 1/10 the cost compare to the previous place. He did not add any additional things or try to make money from me. He is very nice and professional. After being at many terrible dentist places, this place is not bad at all. They have a very welcoming vibe and everyone is very nice to me. read more

This dentist sucks. No real care for a patient. Just passing a buck onto his cohort. Wouldn't recommend him to save my life

So kind to give me an emergency appointment that same day when I had never been there before. The lady at the front desk was very understanding and Dr Gong was marvelous! A 'real' dentist who actually cares about saving a tooth and explains carefully what will happen if the tooth is pulled, especially when it can be saved. I feel fortunate to have found Dr Gong on my Delta Dental list. Not only did I received careful, considerate treatment but he referred me to an outstanding Endodontist in this area (also described on my Yelp), to do the root canal and save the tooth, the same tooth which another dentist last year, told me was beyond saving. read more

Review for my mom. My mom just visited this dentist and she had a terrible experience. Dentistry without care. He was very rough with her, not accommodating even when she mentioned that she was uncomfortable in pain. Very strange situation and would see this dentist at your own risk. read more

dentistry with attitude- definitely- seems to love root canals- he referred me to two when all I wanted was him to fill the hole with silly putty, or just yank the thing out. I am not, ever, going the root canal way. yank the tooth first. no sense of humor at all, even his receptionist has a bit of a tude- i'll find somebody to do what I want when I want it .yeah, it's bad enough to inflict pain on people trying to alleviate their pain, but can you at least laugh, be casual, ...i'll bet dr. ben carson was never so uptight that you couldn't pull a pin out of his ass with a tractor and he was a brain surgeon! read more

Dr. Gong is an excellent dentist, he has created a solid path forward for a cosmetically and structurally sound smile and bite!

Went in today with Groupon for regular exam and cleaning. Doctor was nice and answered all questions. Problem is the cleaning was just OK, definitely not as clean as all my previous experiences with other dentists. After he finished, I saw in the mirror some leftover plaque between my front teeth, on the sides of both teeth, and the doctor turned on the light and cleaned that again. Here's the kicker. No electric spinning tool (I don't know what it's called but you know what dentists use for cleaning teeth normally) was used for cleaning, it was done just by poking, scraping and pulling with a metal tool by hand! I wish I can give negative rating for him. Initially went with a groupon coupon. He said I need to fill one teeth urgent or else I need to undergo Root canal. He did filling to one of my teeth...After a month it started hurting me badly. I called him and he asked me to come to his clinic as he wants to have a look. I went there and sat in the patient chair and he started telling me that I have to pay 100+ $ today...then only he will look into my teeth. He also said its holiday for him where he is looking only me where in Yelp it shows that the clinic is open!! Its the same teeth he filled before and when I am suffering with unbearable pain...he was talking with me in this way and he looked like a "Person bargaining before a dead body" to me. He charged 150$ for filling before. After everything, he finally declared that I have to undergo the RootCanal. This is ridiculous. I hate him. Beware of him. Money minded!! read more

Excellent experience with Dr. Gong yet again! He is as honest, gentle, and caring as can be. I called in recently with a problem. He was quick to meet my scheduling needs, and made sure I had my teeth cleaned while I was in. I feel that he has his patients' dental health as his top priority.
