DO NOT GO FOR GOPHER PATROL! Do not waste your time with this service! They are spotty at best. We got no results whatsoever until the manager finally came out. They used poison for the first six times, which was not successful. You would think that after three consecutive failures, Gopher Patrol would suggest a new approach. However, It was only after six visits with no success that the manager finally got involved and decided to try a new approach. He set traps and was finally successful in killing two gophers, but four or five of the little critters remained, and we still have gophers to this day. No refund or partial refund was offered, although we did request one. On top of all of these repeated failures, the phone dispatcher was very rude. She kept implying that the lack of result was somehow our fault, saying, "This is the fourth time you have called, this is the fifth time you have called, this is the sixth time you have called," etc. Bottom line: They have our money and we still have gophers. Suffice it to say we will never go for Gopher Patrol again! read more

Called Gopher Patrol a few months ago because we noticed gopher holes in our grass. Our monthly pest control guy had been trying to treat the gophers for 2 months without any progress being made at all. Travis from gopher patrol came right out, looked over the holes, put bait down and took care of them in just one visit! They have not been back since!!! They are very knowledgable and know exactly how to take care of any gopher issue. One day I noticed a mound in my yard, then two, then three, etc. A neighbor recommended Gopher Patrol. They sent Zakk who explained the options to kill the gopher and what he would recommend. He put the poison pellets in the tunnels and flattened them out. He was confident the problem was solved. As part of the service, he came back in a week to check. There had been no activity. They quoted me $225 for front yard only. Said $275 for front and backyard but I only needed front. I asked the lady on the phone if it would be more than $225. She said not unless I have "acreage" which I don't even come close. I actually have a small front yard. Guy came out and said it would be $300 for front yard!! As good as any other gopher exterminator out there. I have a 2 1/2 acre avocado/citrus grove in Fallbrook CA and needless to say, gophers are a constant problem. Like most, I've tried and failed with the methods available to home owners so bringing in a professional was my last and only option. I hired Gopher Patrol to a monthly service plan because for my particular situation, it's the only way to keep the little beasties at bay. Truthfully, if I had access to the bait they use, I could do the job myself, however it's only available to licensed professionals in California. read more

Wish I never called these people. I've got a pretty bad gopher problem and I had tried on my own to get rid of them with smoke bombs, traps, crappy poisons and I was loosing the battle. I had only cough one gopher before I called Gopher Patrol. When they arrived to my house, I showed them around my entire property which is about 1/4 acre. The back lawn looked like war zone gopher holes everywhere. The hillsides have mounds and the horse stable area had gopher holes as well. I was written up a contract for my front and back lawn only and told the rest of the areas were old holes and most likely the gophers were only in my yard. In fact the guy told me it was possible only one gopher was creating all this mess... $275 for three visits and a 30 day guaranty after that. Three months later and several visits to my house, which I had to leave work to meet up with the gopher guy to poison the back lawn, I still had gopher activity. The manager even came out and set traps after the poison failed. I came home from work one day and saw a fresh gopher mound and grabbed one of my own traps and 30 min later wham! I got another one!! After that I had a couple months of a gopher free front and back lawn. Of course they offered me a monthly $60 service, which I think is ridiculous, I want them gone not treated! Of course they came back and I hesitated but called them back again. Another hour to leave work and meet up with the gopher patrol guy and to go over another plan to rid these pesky gophers I was able to get them to cover my lawn and 10 feet of my hillside, still couldn't convince them to do the whole property? Anyways the extra 10 feet of my hillside increased the monthly fee to $85. He poisoned the areas he covers and left. I planted several fruit trees and plants and they were getting ruined by the gophers eating at their roots and I called and explained the problem and asked if they could target those areas only and not the areas without activity to keep the cost at $85. They came and wrote up a new contract to flush the area $375!!! And they didn't treat at all. Even though I had just seeded the lawn and asked them not to treat that area, I was hoping they would at least treat the area where the plants were dying and gophers were. Don't bother with these guys!!! I need to find Simone else. Waste of time and money. read more

I just spent a small fortune to have my front yard landscaped. Then THEY came. I tried all the humane remedies and then went to the smoke and poisons with no luck. Every other day or so, a new mound. Called several places who all seemed to only want to sell me a monthly contract. Gopher Patrol said, One visit with a follow up and the problem should be solved. If the gophers show up again in several months, give them a call. NO PRESSURE! The price was right too. Derek came out, super nice guy, did his thing and I've not seen signs of the little monsters since. I don't have a 1/4 acre but I can see where it would take some doing to get rid of all the gophers in that size area. I feel for Gary F. My yard is about 3000 sq/ft. plus they did the small area the other side of the driveway. Oh yes, they gave me a time window for the technician to arrive and Derek showed up soon after the window opened. Both times. I hate waiting. Extra STARS for being prompt. They would not send a technician to my house to identify insects found in my attic by a construction crew. We were concerned for the health of the workers. They wanted to wait a week. I later learned that I was charged for what they call a "monthly service" that very same day. How can you refuse to send a technician out to my home yet charge me for a service that same day? Gopher Patrol is the best! I have been using them for years but this year was tricky and active. Although they came out for the initial treatment and the activity continued they continued coming out and eventually set traps. All along I felt the treatment was not working but it probably did because I had an unusual amounts of gophers in my small yard. Who really knows how many succumbed to the bait underground. Anyhow Rich came out and caught 4 of these guys which I personally saw. He was patient, courteous and effective. Robert the dispatch guy was very professional and insured me we would get them all. These guys back up the work and never charged me any additional fee. I highly recommend using Gopher Patrol. When we moved into our house we had a really bad gopher problem in our yard. Gopher Patrol got rid of all the nasty holes in our front and back yard and continue to keep a close eye on any new signs that may pop up.
