I was explicitly told that the $150 dispatch/estimate fee would be applied toward the balance of the work that needed to be done. However, when the technician arrived, they quoted me $715 and didn't honor that agreement--so I essentially ended up paying $150 just for someone to stand in my home for 5 minutes. Because I had already sunk the $150 into the visit, I felt stuck and felt like I had no choice but to just pay the higher amount to get the job done. While the service itself was fine, the communication felt misleading. Just a heads-up to future customers: make sure to get your initial quote details and promotional offers in writing before they show up.

With water being harder and harder to find and the fires taking more and more of the "wild" , wildlife has been more frequent these days.... And those little critters are destructive! The first time: I came home to an enclosed patio COVERED in little white raccoon handprints IN PAINT! Those suckers opened up a paint can and decided to play with it while I was gone one weekend....and once they knew how much fun it was to play in my patio I couldn't keep them away. So I called Urban Wildlife Trapping. On another occasion: I had a possum that decided to take up residency under my shed.... Which would have been fine if it didn't try to climb the dang thing every night- all I heard were those nails on the metal siding for HOURS..... so I had to make another call to Urban Wildlife Trapping... Then: There was ANOTHER family of raccoons.... And then a fox that identified as a house cat... and lastly another family of raccoons. I am not sure when my home became so welcoming but it may get to a point that I'll need to rent a room to one of the employees and Urban Wildlife Trapping so they cane save on gas money getting out to my place! Everyone here is so nice, very professional and well trained in trapping animals humanely and efficiently. Who knew that a one time google for animal trappers would lead me to a company that I would gladly use over and over. Thanks guys for all you help in the past, and I am sure with this heat I will see you soon!

I also realized after they were old enough to walk it was time to send them on their way as they always have a backup den close by. The day I called Peter came right out that day and sprayed the horrible male hormone and it got her attention but she was stubborn and Peter left on vacation so then Leo took over.He went back under and sprayed this time took a video of her with her babies and we had to do 4 attempts total to get her to leave, the last night he sprayed for the last time was a little sad I have to say as she pushed the adorable babies out the opening....as they left a coyote showed up and I had to scare him off several times she grab the little ones and pulled them up the tress ...she totally knew how to handle the situation and so did all city....wont hesitate to call on them when needed again!

When a family of wasps decided to make a nest on our front porch, I started looking into pest…read morecontrol companies. We usually do our own maintenance but wasps are something I have no interest in dealing with alone. I have 2 small kids and was worried about them being attacked while walking from our front door to the car. I looked through the local Facebook pages at recommendations and contacted the top two names I kept seeing recommended over and over. Neither of those companies saw my issue as a priority and were in no hurry to come out. They wanted me to wait about 2 weeks. I went on Yelp and saw this company, Family First Pest Solutions. The name immediately drew me in because I'd much rather support a family business as opposed to a huge chain. They didn't have many reviews, but the reviews they did have were amazing. I requested a quote on Yelp and got an answer within 20 mins with a list of different pricing options. Wow. Most companies like to beat around the bush or give you a huge estimate range. These people were to the point. I called and Linda immediately answered the phone. She was so sweet and said she would try to get us in today. (This was about 2pm and most businesses close at 5pm. I was very hopeful and appreciated them trying to get us taken care of.) Sure enough, her husband, the technician, texted me an estimated window of arrival. He gave me an ETA about 20 mins before showing up and arrived exactly when he said he would. He identified the problem immediately and explained how he was going to get rid of the wasps. He did his job quickly and let me know that the work was guaranteed for 60 days. Just like he said, within 2 days the wasps are completely gone. The professionalism, kindness, communication, and willingness to help us has made an impact. We will for sure be calling them in the future if we need anything. Their prices are fair as well, including the monthly maintenance packages. They blow the big chain company that starts with a "D" out of the water for sure. If you have any kind of pest issues, definitely give them a call. I promise you they will treat you better than the big guys will. We will recommend them any chance we get.

We have been using Gopher Patrol for well over six months! We live on a canyon and were at the end of our wits with gophers turning our yard into moguls! Then along came Travis! This is money well spent! We are very happy with the whole service. The office personnel are very professional and we always receive a call to let us know when Travis is coming.....unless of course we call because of a specific problem. He is an oustanding technician and so knowledgeable about gophers! We have learned so much from him! Our gopher problems are under control and we are so happy that gopher holes and dirt mounds are a thing of the past! Travis is the nicest guy....he is friendly, genuine, continually in a happy mood and we are always pleased to see him. This service has given us much needed relief....now we can continue with our landscape renovation, knowing that Travis has our gopher problem under control! After trying several methods to control gophers I gave up and called Gopher Patrol. I should gave done that from the beginning. Travis same out, eradicated my gophers and did so with friendliness and a great attitude. Customer service is so important and Travis is the poster child! Since my neighbors choose to do nothing to control gophers in their yard I now have monthly service and couldn't be more pleased. I'm reclaiming my pretty yard! In my previous efforts I tried a different gopher company and was very disappointed in their level of service, especially compared to Gopher Patrol. I even installed an owl box to no avail! Michael is most professional,friendly and knowledgable. He is always with a smile and something nice to say. He always asks if all OK and any specials needs or requests before starting. He always makes sure our Golden Retriever is inside before starting to spray our exterior pato/pool and slope hillside area. We live in the Hollywood Hills and have never seen another gopher,mouse, rats or other critters since we started using Gopher Patrol and Michael. I rarely write reviews, but feel compelled to write about Gopher Patrol. I have had many gopher activities in my yard that had almost destroyed my entire lawn. I initially started to put some traps on my own, but finally got tired of doing it. I then called Gopher Patrol. They sent their best technician Nick over. I ma very impressed with the quality work Nick has provided, thorough and take his time to do it right. Now gophers in my yard is under control. In addition, Nick is very careful about not to cause damages to my lawn. He always put the cutting area back as sued to me with flags on it. Michael has been working with us in Topanga for several years. He is fantastic at what he does! Always prompt and reliable, he is super easy to work with and provides all the information anyone would need to make informed choices about pest control. Gopher Patrol provides exceptional service! Over the last few years we have had increasing problems with gophers. The gophers have invaded our front and back yard and have been destroying our lawns and garden. I can say that Gopher Patrol has been able to get things under control. We have used Gopher Patrol twice over the last two years and both times the technician was Michael. He provided great service and walked the whole property pointing out what caused each ground disturbance I was concerned about. He was very informative and was up front that due to the fact the disturbances didn't exhibit recent activity, there wouldn't be much reason or success to do any abatement at this time. There has been alot of gopher activity in the neighborhood since the Thomas Fire so I anticipate that the gophers will be back. Mike is the MAN!!! So I grow veggies and herbs during the winter months and this little sucker was getting the best of me in my garden. After exhausting all of my possible solutions the little guy was resilient. Mike came out to assess the problem and then got straight to work after my OK. I went inside to fix a bite to eat and before I was able to go back out to check on him of he needed anything he already had the sucker CAUGHT! We have been using this service for gopher and squirrel control for about two years and have had no squirrel problems after the first year, though we occasionally see one running along walls around our property. The gophers are similarly decreased significantly, but seem to repopulate every so often from adjacent undeveloped land. Our technician John has always been prompt and on one or two occasions when they or new mounds appeared between monthly checks, he has come out promptly for additional treatment. We've been using Gopher Patrol for several years and they are truly the best. They show up every month to spray for fleas & treat for gophers, and if the varmints show up in between visits, one call is all it takes to get a Gopher Patrol tech out to deal with the problem - usually the next day. Their rates are extremely reasonable, their staff is always helpful & cooperative, and they take great care to make sure out dog is inside before spraying the yard. We contracted with Gopher Patrol a few months ago and Travis has been amazing. Our gophers were mighty creatures that survived every thing that we used to get rid of them. We lost lots of plants, part of our grass and all of our bulbs in our bulb garden. Since hiring gopher patrol, the gophers are gone and our yard is starting to come back. We are replacing the lost plants without fear that they will be gone soon. Our neighboring yards are noticing that they don't have the gophers either. We have used Gopher Patrol for my hillside property in Sunland-Tujunga for some time now... I'm guessing about two years. When the gophers took over there was nothing else that worked. Nick takes great care of us. He is reliable and kind and very careful with the specific areas we treat. We only trap in areas that my dogs have future access to and Nick is mindful of that to protect my pups. We decided to try Gopher Patrol when we re-did our back yard several years ago and did not want the gophers and moles to AGAIN destroy all our hard work. I started using Gopher Patrol in February 2013 after my garden suffered major destruction; 5 rose bushes, 3 lily of the nile, 4 six ft tall pittosporum and of course patches of lawn. It took a while to get rid of them because they kept coming from my neighbors yards and the horse trail behind our house. Richard is a super professional and has helped clear our large piece of property of gophers. We have invested a lot of money in plants and trees and now feel secure that those plantings will survive due to Richards diligence locating gopher activity and getting rid of all the gophers. These guys get the job done. Since the other services I have used in the past have eliminated their gopher service these guys are #1. I recently tried to go bi-monthly with my service and not even two weeks into the second month they were tearing up my front lawn. I called and my guy Travis was here in like three days. Could not expect more from anyone, Travis is fabulous. Simply put this is THE service for gophers, end of discussion. Michael has been maintaining the property I live on in Topanga for a few years now. We live next to a park, and when we moved in our house had been empty for over a year. Needless to say, the yard was in bad shape. Instead, they tried to upsell me $17000 whole attic restoration. Honestly, if you can't keep a word do the rodent proofing as we agreed, why people trust you for a bigger project? This is not how you gain business. I end up signing up a contract with other company for the full service (rodent proofing + attic insulation replacment). They are more transparent and upfront with the price and service with no surprise.
