This place.....I try to go to local businesses as much as possible, but the people that run this place stole my business. Super-great staff that goes out of their way to let you what is necessary, but can wait til next time. The big bosses might not appreciate that, but it brings me back. I went to the Goodyear Store in Mission, Ks. on 10/07/25. My tire was losing air pressure very quickly and I spoke to Miguel who worked inside sales. He conferred with Dana, the repair technician, and explained the problem of having a nail in the right rear tire. Dana checked the tire and found a large nail had entered the inside tread of the tire and punctured through the inside sidewall. Neither of the places where the nail pierced the tread and sidewall were unfortunately able to be repaired. I could not drive the car with this tire in its present condition. I looked with salesperson Abraham for a tire with similar tread pattern and speed rating. Abraham located a tire which fit my vehicle but this store did not have it in stock. Another store of some distance had the tire and reserved it for Miguel who immediately went over to the other store and brought it back for installation. Dana completed the repair, mounted and balanced the new tire, and let me see the installed tire. Their combined teamwork resulted in getting me back on the road with a new tire and myself as a highly satisfied customer. I had a very good experience with this Goodyear Store and appreciated the quick service, customer service, and professionalism given by the above employees. Wow! A big shout-out to Christopher and the crew at Goodyear for getting me in and out in less than two hours on a busy Friday morning. Everyone there was effective and efficient, and Christopher was particularly helpful pointing out that it didn't make sense to replace one threadbare tire, but to purchase a new set. He even found a mail-in rebate to help offset some of the cost. He gets a gold star for outstanding customer service! read more

I scheduled an appointment for an oil change 4 days in advance. When I arrived, I was told that my wait time would be a couple of hours at least. I told him that I'd scheduled an appointment, but was told that other cars there before mine took priority. Which I understand, if they were appointments, but for drops-offs? I'm used to other auto service shops working the walk-ins/drop-offs around schedules appointments. They said I could reschedule, but that's the point? I feel like it would be an endless cycle of "you're here at 10? We might get you in at 12" No thanks - I go elsewhere. read more

Mitchell and Keith were so good to me. Even though they were booked solid, they fit me in for a tire replacement so I could get on the road for my 9 hour journey (found the tear in the tire wall just as I was getting on the road). They spent time on the phone calls to my warranty service, and kept me laughing knowing I was stressed about my long trip ahead. Can't even tighten bolts the right away spent the last month trying to fix something because they can't do it right. Spend over 1000 dollars here and they can't even make sure they did the job right. Took it back a week after service because of noises in rear. The guy who answers the phone told me the problem. But then they checked it and said everything was fine. Month later take it to another shop to have them fix their problem. NEVER GO HERE!!!!!! read more

This is a tire place and yet they can't get a Firebird, Trans am or a corvette on their lift?!?!!? I just needed an alignment and tires rotated. They made these vehicles for many years and there's millions of them yet their equipment won't work. Every shop has issues lifting a low car but then I found out they wouldn't use my exhaust parts. No problem just order them then please - "oh we can't get parts for your car." So basically they can't work on vettes, F-birds or Transams in any way. Sorry that's just ridiculous because this means they can't work on Ferrari or Lamborghini or any other car that just sits low to the ground. read more

It's been a year since my last review of this Good Year location and I still continue to take the time to go to this location even though we live in Missouri. They continue to keep my truck on the road as well as my other family members automobiles. Continue doing what you're doing and appreciate the service! I came in with some bad old plugs that someone else put in my truck tire. Not only that but they are very expensive all terrain tires and these guys got me in right away, and fixed not one but found another bad plug and fixed them both- FOR FREE. I've been turned away from two other big tire stores- don't waste your time and come see these guys. 10/10 read more

Pat and his crew are solid. I have been here several times for tires, battery and oils changes. They are prompt and call with mostly good news. Racket. I had a tire sensor break, which they've been designed to do by the manufacturers, due to their alloy content with alloy caps that corrode together then break. When you try to remove them. That's not Goodyear's fault, but after my visit to replace the sensor ($99.95), my tire pressure monitoring system light was on. So I had to take the car back to them, as that light had not been on before my visit. After one hour, I got the call that they had gotten the light off, but one of the old sensors wasn't responding because they are old (2015 model?!). "So you say the dashboard warning is off, yet on of the sensors is not responding to the system? Is the system off?" -"We can't turn the system off, so ... the system is on." "But one of the sensors isn't being detected?" "Yes. What I would suggest is replacing the remaining sensors." "How much are those?" "$85 a piece." Interesting, because the original one I came in to deal with was $99. If you got the lights off, I'm just going to wait until something is actually wrong. Puh-lease. read more

Was able to get my car in quickly to be looked at (dropped off in morning and picked up in evening) Received quote for services ( power steering pump, reservoir, and a flush) for over $600. Shopped other estimates and found a local shop to do it for nearly half the price (as well as other shops that ran several hundred dollars lower than good years estimate). When I mentioned this to the manager that worked up my quote, the overall estimate was drastically reduced after creating a new quote with a "cheaper pump" (was the same itemized pump as noted the first quote). Was flat out price gouged. Won't go back. read more

Ridiculous. Save your $ and time. Asked for synthetic blend, got fully synthetic. Said they rotated my tires, didn't. I have one wheel scuffed, in exact same spot. Wrote milage to be changed 30,000 miles ago. So sad, this Goodyear used to be very reputable. Won't be going back. read more

Went for a $40 oil change and tire rotation. $40 buys you synthetic oil so that's a plus. I'm on board so far. However . . . I knew I needed a new air filter so was prepared to pay a reasonable upcharge for the convenience of the mechanics doing something I didn't want to do. I looked up how much it would cost for the part and found it averaged around $20. The YouTube video showed it was approximately a 1 minute task (starts at about 40 seconds - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZfCgR8-SYnw ) so I was prepared to pay $20 for the labor, still a quite obscene cost of $1200 an hour, but hey, I get I'm paying for convenience. I'm then quoted $89.95 (aka $5400 an hour) because, "Who knows what it will look like? We may have to move stuff out of the way". I probably had a shocked look on my face and quickly declined. It's experiences like this that gives mechanics a bad name. How do you trust somebody when you're fed nonsense? To be fair, it's less of a mechanic issue as much as a company issue. He's just doing his job and selling the company line, although he had no shame in trying to sell that ridiculous price. And after the oil change was complete, he asked me again! I guess at $5400 an hour, I'd take that chance too. In the end, I thought the $40 for oil change and tire rotation was reasonable. But that's all I would do there because I don't feel I could ever trust their predatory pricing structure. After all, "Who knows what it will look like? Sold me a defective tire that completely disintegrated (the side walls ripped apart leaving the tread completely separated from the wheel) on the interstate nearly causing a very serious multi car wreck. This was just a few moths after they told me the tire was fine. Their absurd explanation was to tell me I must have been driving around on it completely flat. It is not possible to drive on a flat tire and not know it on normal roads, much less on the interstate. They also slipped up and informed me they had charged me for road hazard fees on another purchase when I specifically said not to. They do not honor their road hazard protection claims. I had a slow leak in a tire. I came in on 24 June 2019, and they said the wait would be long, but it could be done in hour if I came back the next day at an appointment time. In the meantime, they checked and filled my tires for free. I came back 25 June, and it was done in an hour as they predicted. Because of a promotional, it was FREE. I knew nothing about the promotion, so they didn't need to give it to me. Really nice staff. Very clean and comfortable waiting area. read more

Took my flat tire there since it was close and they specialize in tires. I was told it was unrepairable. Ok. Then I was told that I needed all four new tires and quoted a high price. Decided to take my car elsewhere. The other place told me I only needed two new tires. Not to mention I have been taking my car there for oil changes, big mistake! After I took my car to a mechanic I trusted this last time, they said the oil filter hadn't been changed in for ev er (something Goodyear claimed to be doing every time). Not to mention my cabin air filter was missing along with the jack from my trunk. Do not take your car here. read more

This place is not the best choice. They'll sell tires all day long and then when you want to get them rotated (which is included with the purchase of their tires) it will take a week to get an appointment. They always say they are too busy. One time I asked for an oil change and tire rotation. They said they rotated the tires and they actually didn't (I had a chalk mark on one tire which is how I know they didn't rotate even though they said they did). Try Action Goodyear on shawnee mission parkway - they have always been great and worth the longer drive for me. I want this place to be great because they are convenient but half the time I just go somewhere else because I can't get service here. read more

Do NOT go there for air conditioning problems. The only thing they look for in their "test" is to see if you are low on Freon. Charged me $100, said I was 2# low but "can't find a leak" and come back in a couple weeks. No improvement. Took it back on the day that the A/C guy was off--worthless visit. Kept me there an hour to tell me that no one else has skills to work on. Went to reputable mechanic and found that my compressor was not working. Wasted time and money. They have been okay for tires and oil changes in the past, but I won't go back again. Felt insulted and ripped off at the same time. read more

I had no problem with my service. I was there to get an oil change. However, when I went to pick up my car, I was told that the next time I come in I'd need new front brake pads. I was initially confused since my car was only a few years old and had low mileage on it, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt and kept it in mind that I might want to get them checked again and possibly changed. A few months later I checked my brake pads and they were perfectly fine. According to the inspection sheet that Goodyear gave me, my brake pads were at 3 mm. After checking them again, I discovered they were closer to 8 mm. HUGE difference. Not only did I feel lied to, but I also felt like they were trying to take advantage of my lack of knowledge on the subject at the time. Moral of the story: always get a second opinion and don't do business with these people as they appear to be crooked. I saved myself $300 since I probably won't need new brake pads for another 3 or 4 years. read more
