I come to this goodwill at least once a week. It's a bit grungy and not super clean, but if you're willing to look past the cleanliness factor you can find some nice stuff. The cashiers are always very nice as well as the management staff. I would recommend staying away from the furniture though unless you have a 25% off coupon because it's normally pretty overpriced. You can get a coupon by making a simple donation (tshirt, toy, etc..) and they're good for any goodwill in the Ventura county district. Definitely recommend stopping by here if you're a goodwill hunter like myself! read more

I have been going here since this place opened. What on earth are they doing with these prices?! Saw Gamecube games today, all of which were basically garbage games. And they were asking $10-20 for them. Beyond insane what this company as become. At this point with their pricing. You can find items for almost the same price online used. Disappointed with them extremely. Hope people start resorting to Craigslist or Facebook for donating stuff. You should all be ashamed of yourselves. Profiting off of people's donations and raising the price 100 times. read more

Worst donation location ever! Whatever employee (who turned his name tag around) that was working on Monday August 31 was the worst! I get the drop off policy has changed since Covid, that's nothing new. Things are different everywhere. I went in the afternoon and wasn't expecting it to be as busy as it was. I went to the back of my car when I was the third car in line to move some things and untie some bags to make my time quicker. The guy came up and started yelling at me about how I couldn't turn in my items. I said I know that, I'm simply untying bags and making it so I can be as quick as possible. He kept on yelling at me about what the rules were! When I finally deposited my items and asked for me tax paperwork for the donation he ignored me and walked as far away as possible. I make donations seasonally at this location but not anymore. Rude employees!!!! read more

I just came home from shopping in this store, or I should say that I attempted to shop there. I've shopped there for years and have always had a satisfactory shopping experience, but haven't been there in a couple of years. I do need to try on clothes before I buy so that I can see how they look and fit. The store doesn't have a fitting room but that's OK--I dress so that I can try clothes on without undressing. That works for me, but I do need a mirror to see how they look and fit. The store used to have a couple of mirrors, but they have been removed. I refuse to buy clothes not knowing how they look or if they fit. The store is very disorganized as well--the short sleeve shirts were mixed in with long sleeve shirts, and the clothing wasn't organized by color as it used to be. I will take my business (and donations) elsewhere. read more

If you're going to sell a 15 year old radio for $59.95, you should make sure you have a cord for it, otherwise it's not worth $59.95! Furthermore if a parent has the nerve to allow their children to run wild in a store during a PANDEMIC, yelling and screaming and pulling toys from a shelf, an employee should be trained to ask the parent to control the situation. Was in the shop today since Ventura county is now requiring masks you would expect to see the employees and customers wearing the masks you would also expect employees to confront those customers not wearing masks and to be sure that they put one on and if they don't to ask them to leave the shop. I noticed at least three customers walking around the shop not wearing masks and do I left without continuing to shop. I strongly suggest that the employees or the manager make a little more effort in asking those people shopping without a mask to put one on since it is currently mandated for Ventura county. read more

First time checking this place out and My experience today was good I try and find big brand names and I was in luck . I found a shirt and long sleeve for a great price compared to going to the surf shops and spending maybe 30-40 bucks or more a shirt.. We got a bunch of glassware and was offered a box and paper so the younger cashier lady was very nice doing so and even offered to help. Don't see many people go out of there way for that read more

I love Goodwill, I really do. I try to make my way into Goodwill at least once a month. Then my Grandma told me they opened a Goodwill by her, this one! Now I try to go in once a week.. or every two weeks. The best section for me has been the baby clothes, for my 5 month old. The selection is AWESOME for kids. Many other Goodwill locations only have one rack, this location has at least 5. I also came up on an awesome Where the Wild Things Are framed poster! $10, can't beat that. I noticed this Goodwill also has 50% OFF EVERYTHING deals every Wednesday from 5-8PM (I believe). I haven't been able to make it during those sales but I can imagine it is hectic.. probably worth it though? Go look & shop! read more

Ok sized store. A little over priced for used items. Have been there a few times. Went there last night and sign said open so I walked in the door started looking around... Worker lady comes out and sees me and shouts rudely "were closed"! I was like "what? When do you close?". She replies "we closed an hour ago!". I said ok and as I was walking out of the store she yells at the back... "Did anyone lock the door." Come on... Don't yell at customers who come in when your door is unlocked and your sign says open after you have been closed for 1 hour. This store needs to train their employees on Costumer service and proper closing procedure. read more

This store has alot of good stuff but go there only if you want to be yelled at by supervisors especially the African lady Miya and yes I did get her name! She is extremely rude! I asked her a question and she snapped at me as if I was stupid! I also heard her snap at another coworker yesterday as was there! I understand it's only goodwill but come on now! She needs to treat others like she wants to be treated! She is lucky I had my kids or else I would have let her know what is on my mind about her attitude! What kind of people do you hire there these days! I work here and its an absolute blast!! I was curious to see if any negative comments existed for our store. I guess you can't win them all. I just wanted to throw out there that all goodwills for Ventura county and Santa Barbara have the same 7 day exchange policy. We no longer do store credits unless it is over a certain amount. I love me some thrift shopping. Much of the furniture in the house has come from this goodwill. We've got a 1890's desk and armoire from them for about $100, that according to the interwebs can be sold at an antique store for $6,000. The employees are super nice and the mission that goodwill serves helping the community is one I stand for! Lately the store has been more miss than hit though. They don't really have decent artwork anymore, and the furniture seems to have gone downhill. Also, the pricing is all over the place! read more

I always get lucky when I come here. I love thrifting, and this Goodwill offers surprising and cheap finds every time I come in. Be it a new pair of heels in my size, designer jeans for $6, or a blazer that fits me perfectly. This place is a favorite of mine. read more

Very disappointed, went with my sister, we found items that we were desperately looking for, stood in line to pay 5/6 customers in line & only 1 Cashier, the Customer who was at the Register checking out was purchasing a shopping cart full (not her fault, nothing towards the Customer). We get an emergency phone call so we hit out of line and asked the Cashier if our items can be on hold for us & that we will be back. He said sure do we put it on the counter, he NEVER MENTION that it can only be held for an Hour. Items not only were they put back on the Sales Floor but someone purchased the important items we were looking for. Very sad on Goodwill for not giving proper Goodwill Rules to Holding Item Procedures. read more

This used to be a good place to find hidden treasures at a typical goodwill price. Not anymore. About 2-3 months ago, I noticed they were selling everything off and "redecorating". An employee told me they "like to shift things around every now and again." I've been there 3 x's since then, and the prices are WAY UP!! They are also trying to showcase merchandise like a department store! You are a goodwill. People come for goodwill prices! If I wanted to pay 10.00 for a used frame, I'd stick with dollar store or home goods. Maybe they think because it's an affluent neighborhood, people are willing to pay more. Pricing is all over the place, many items are broken, torn, missing buttons, stained. Goodwill "prides" themselves with delivering the best used items to our community, but all they sell is garbage at high prices. Watch your children very carefully, sex offenders work here. I just stopped by to look at furniture and the prices were RIDICULOUS. I was shocked that a small wood end table was $100 and a very small beat up dresser with a broken drawer was $150. I was just at the Simi Valley store and prices were half that for things in better condition. I don't shop at Goodwill because I have a ton of money, I shop there because I don't and I won't be back to this particular store becuase of it. For clothing on the other hand, pricing is average for a Goodwill and there were several tagged areas for $.99 each. THAT'S more like it. read more

This is located in the former Pier 1 Import store. Good location, parking is in a lot, pretty big space. It is similar to all Goodwill Stores. I happened to be there on customer appreciation day when everything was 50% off so people were shopping like mad. Some good buys then. Otherwise, prices are mid-range. What is nice about Goodwill is they take credit and debit cards, and you can some items within 7 days and get store credit. read more

This is a really nice Goodwill. Prices are better than Orange County Goodwills! The staff here is awesome - really nice. This is probably the cleanest Goodwill I have ever been to. By far the largest and friendliest Goodwill I've ever been too. Some sections were in disarray (maybe because of post holiday season), but still a huge variety of clothes, shoes, etc. I scored a Zingo game I could use with my speech therapy clients for $1.50! Gilbert's friendly and helpful service at the front is what made my experience here stand out. He's an incredible asset to the Goodwill name and deserves a raise! **Be on the look out for signs posted on door or on clothing racks. 50% off depending on the color of the price tag. read more

I personally think goodwills are more on the pricey side. However, I did buy two cardigans I really liked for $5.99 each. I've only ever been to one other Goodwill and I didn't find that one worth it because they mostly had ruined clothes or clothes from places like Forever 21 and H&M. This one on the other hand does have more designer clothing, but I don't plan on shopping here often. This is more of a nice place to come to when you happen to be in the area. read more

This is an ok Goodwill--I've found a few pairs of nice women's jeans (Seven for all Mankind, Hydraulic) and a good belt, and my fiancé found some tshirts that are practically new. There's no dressing room because of problems with shoplifting, but they allow you to exchange things within 7 days if they don't fit. I'd recommend stopping if you're in the area, but don't make a special trip. read more

Don't ever return anything to this Goodwill unless you are ready to be insulted by the staff. Just returned a garment that my wife got there yesterday for a quick job interview and the garment was too big. The problem?...they don't have dressing rooms. Normally I wouldn't return anything there but we are dead broke right now and needed the $5.00 back so I could come and get something there later that I might need. The cashier called up the manager because he has to issue a gift card and the next thing I hear her say on the phone is..."I know, crazy." Right in front of me! He then comes up to the front practically laughing at me and issues me the gift card. I was friendly with them and couldn't believe what was taking place. It was rude and insulting. I was treated like a cheapskate or something and I shop there quite often as they are right down the street. I will probably just go to the Simi Valley store from now on and I definitely won't be donating to that location. Highly disappointed. read more

I have been shopping and donating to the goodwill for years. I have always loved my experience until recently a man named DAMIEN started working there. Wants to overcharge you for everything arguing with me that the clothes I was trying to buy for my toddler(which were all taken from the kids rack)were adult clothes! And trying to charge me a dress price for pajamas. It's not the few extra dollars that matter it's the principle.I have never experienced someone so rude as well. My mother has also told me on multiple occasions how rude he is.Goodwill do yourself a favor and get rid of this person, he is far from an asset to the company and lacks any knowledge of customer service and frankly has no clue about the items he's charging for. read more

This is a decent Goodwill. There is a wide discrepancy in quality of clothes. Sometimes their stuff isn't rotated so it's very old and worn, but if you get there at the right time, right when the racks are coming out they might have brand new items with the tags still on them from high end retailers. So it's a real crapshoot. They have the best selection of appliances in the City and books, too. The staff is friendly and parking is not so bad. read more

Prices are inconsistent and can sometimes be very high.....I was just in the store around a week or so ago and they had priced a "hat box" style decorative box for $34.99......I am pretty sure you could buy 2 or 3 of these at Ross for that price. Selection varies and you have to search. Prefer Salvation Army in Newbury Park. Also, last week when I was there, a salewoman called a female customer an expletive in front of the customer's young daughter......I heard other staff talking after the "scuffle" calmed down and it did not seem to be taken seriously enough.
