Ok. First off, a lot of the inventory is broken or torn. I've had to bring pants up where the crotch is broken. To me that's unusable and unacceptable. I wouldn't even sell that at a garage sale. The main beef I have on all goodwills but particularly this one is their no-refund policy on electronics. I bought an acer predator xb323u computer monitor for $150. Ok so I'm an idiot. I tried to talk to manager and price it down because it may not work properly. I tested it at the store the best I could but although it's a high-end monitor, the only options it had for its button menus was source and sound. I couldn't get a test pattern no matter what I did. I looked online and saw it was $545. So, despite my better judgement, I bought it. I was finally able to test it at home with a firestick and ugh, there's a black light display problem like a triangle that's like 2 inches long like someone blasted the low left side of bevel. Anyways, I'm screwed, there's no return policy and it's not worth fixing. So, circle back, I'm trying hard to be helpful, never buy any electronics you can't test thoroughly. Remember, all this was free to Goodwill, so if you're screwed, it's no concern to them. I also bought a stereo receiver. I tested and it worked properly at store, got home and all it does is power cycle. Crap shoot read more

What I really like about this location is its cleanliness, both in the donation area and in the store. I received immediate attention when I pulled my car up to drop off my donation, and the employee pulled a cart right up to my car door. I got a donation receipt as soon as I asked him. Inside the store, the merchandise is well organized by type and it's easy to see the prices. Unfortunately, many of the prices seem high to me for used/out of style merchandise. The main reason I am giving 2 stars instead of 3 or more stars is that they don't have fitting rooms to try on clothes. The majority of the store is clothing racks. They also do not accept returns, so I can't buy clothes to take home to try on there and return the stuff that doesn't fit. I can't buy clothes this way. read more

Came here to donate and was met by a hostile, grumpy man complaining how they had too much stuff and were too busy. When we opened up the back of our car he continued saying how all these car loads full of donations were just putting them behind. We closed the car back up and drove off. Very rude man! Came here today to look around. You never know, once in a great while you find an overlooked gem at Goodwill, but such was not the case today. I was amazed that as late in the afternoon as it was, they were slammed. I saw people whose air conditioning was out buying fans, I saw families shopping for clothes, I saw people looking for skillets, others checking out the furniture and even a kid enamored by a drone that was available, some kids looking at the toys, and other people shopping for shoes. Iam no expert, but judging from the lines at the registers, there were lots of happy people finding things they wanted. This thoigh was not the day for me to find any hidden treasures for myself. Nice gem in the wall that tends to have good finds on art, clothing and plates. Easy to find from streetview and their pricing is reasonable. There restrooms are clean to use as well. Staff is friendly and courteous. This store has better selections than the ones nearby. ENJOY! read more

So I have just lost 75 pounds and I was looking for some cheap in between clothes so I stoped here. And that was where my happiness was stopped! The staff was rude the Pier of jeans I was looking at had no size on them so I asked them what size they were they didn't know either and without the access to a dressing room they still say no exchanges or returns!!!! She said due to covid so I asked do you still take donations she said yes? Wait what do you can clearly accept items but you can't exchange if something doesn't fit and your fitting rooms are closed what Spence does this make? So bottom line rude staff and horrible experience I recommend you avoid this place! read more

DON'T EVER DONATE TO THIS PLACE!! Today, I took great dinnerware, coffee mugs, hanging shirts straight from the dry-cleaners, etc. The PUNK that brought the cart to my car to assist unloading it, literally picked up the boxes and THREW them into a large pile of other donations they had not processed yet and were still sitting outside. I jumped out of my car and had a few choice words for them. I took all my donations back and took them to Metrocrest Services' Resale Store where they handle the donations with care and appreciate the donations. There were broken dishes from the low-life that tossed them like garbage. There is a thing called KARMA that will come back and bite that guy in the *ss one day. Where can you get cheap & potentially flammable clothing for cheap? Goodwill, of course! So since the theme of our latest Elite event is "Ugly Holiday Sweater Party", I knew this place was on my list of stores to check out. Sure enough, it delivered in hideous fashion. Alright, so the store isn't aesthetically pleasing, but its functional. Shoes at the front, women's clothing to the right, men's to the left, housewares & books in the back. Nice & easy. I just needed a terribly sweater, so I poured thru the racks & found quite a few options, surprisingly enough. I wasn't the only one shopping for holiday sweaters, so I traded a few times with another girl until we finally had the ones we wanted. Whew, what a relief! I even found a cheap trinket for the White Elephant gift exchange, too. My grand total was less than $9 & the checker had me out in no time. I didn't really look for much else, though I was surprised to see some clothing in decent condition for super cheap. Good to know, I suppose. I can't speak on the shopping experience, but when it comes to dropping stuff off for a donation, it couldn't be easier. The donation site is on the west side of the building (no signage). My only complaint was there was no one there help and you had to just drop all your stuff in front of a trailer and hope for the best. I'd recommend you bring your donations in something that you're willing to part with (trash bag, old box, etc.). In the past, when I donated items at another location, they had these large wheeled bins you could put things in. Not here! So be prepared. read more

Makes me not want to donate to an organization that employs people with nasty attitudes, talk under their breath and doesn't bother to take a step forward as you are attempting to gather items to donate. I will, in the future throw away my items rather than donate to allow people like the gentleman- using that term very liberally since I would call him a whole different name if I could- that was accepting donations outside today. Goodwills overall have become quite greedy but the pricing at this location is beyond unreasonable. If you're gonna price up on most brands at least inspect for major flaws. With Thrift Giants all over the metroplex you need to price competitively. read more

As with most thrift stores, it's a hit or a miss. Most of the times for me, it's a miss. However, I took the chance to check out my local thrift store and found nothing. I'd like to give this place 3.5 stars, but since I did find something pretty awesome here, I rounded up. My husband was quite please with the large selection of men's items, and he had a few good finds there. I found a few things to pick up in the women's section, too. They had a lot of shorts, pants, jeans, and skirts. I didn't check out the tops. The dress selection is very meh. (unless you're looking for something awful) ;) The clothing is sorted by color, not size, and that makes things a bit harder to find. The prices are great in my opinion. They have 4 rooms to try things on, which is a huge plus for me. (I HATE when thrift stores don't have dressing rooms) I found an Italian leather bag here for $1.99. It was nothing to look at when I picked it up, but it looked promising. I spent an hour cleaning it up, and it's gorgeous! Well worth the money and time. If I never find anything in this store again, that's worth it! At any rate I would go back. It's definitely decent. read more

The Goodwill Carrollton Midway Store staff is usually courteous,helpful and goes out of their way to be accommodating. However on May 28,last week,the manager was discourteoes,boisterou,argumentative and disruptive.He yelled at me and a young mother of two gorgeous young girls. She for having The audacity not to have enough money for her purchases and me for having the unmitigated gall to want to pay for her items‼ Not only did said manager argue loudly and disrespectfully with a customer while others were looking on in disbelief (all female,2childten).‼Additionally he arbitrarily increased the thrice labeled price on my item and let me know he had the " authority" to change, increase that price and no one," no one" could over rule him. Guess it was my punishment for being caring to another fellow human‼ I reported this incident to the Westmoteland location office who dutifully listened to my complaint, but as yet hasn't followed up with a phone call. I guess the manager was correct when he stated" I am the manager,I can arbitrarily alter pricing and no one,no one can do a thing about it"‼‼ Just so you know,I had previously patronized this store earlier that day,to the tune of $52,and have traded with Goodeill for 50+ years and have never been so blatantly disrespected. As a matter of fact never in my 65+ years have I so rudely suffered the indignity of that day‼ Not to mention the young mother with her 2 lovely daughters (terrified) and the others who shook my hand for what I did for the young mom. This is my first negative review ever and I never thought it would be for unkind treatment at Goodwill‼ How ironic that I received no " goodwill" from the manager nor from the corporate office‼‼ We are all interdependent on one another,not adversaries but a brotherhood/sisterhood of humanity. If I can give no star or negative, I would like to do it. Unfortunately, I have to give al least one start. I was there Feb 9th (Saturday) around 1:30pm. I wanted to buy an item and I gave $5 cash to Cashier (50' lady) and she put the cash her cash register. Then I was told I have to pay for it. I told her I already gave you $5. She said she doesn't remember if she got money from me and kept saying I have to pay for it. OMG!!! I told her I am pretty sure that I gave you $5 and I saw you put the money to your cash register. During this conversation, she was so rude and sneered me with other customers. Finally, the manager came (30' man) and counted the money and said her register is fine they have no problems. Since I'm pretty sure that I gave her $5 and she put the money her cash register so I asked him count money again. However, he said they don't have any problems and money is not over $5, just even. It was so ridiculous and I couldn't understand. I have to left from there since I can't prove that I paid for it. When I was getting out the store, the cashier yelled out after me "do you still think that you already paid and I hide your money? " There are many customers on the check out line and I felt so shame. I understand the people can make any mistakes but she should not to act like that to the customer. On my way home, I figured out that she already finished my transaction and gave me receipt so her POS and cash register money is even. That means I paid her. So I called to the store and explained to the manager about that. Then he agreed and said if I come back then I can get that what I was going to buy it. I wend back the store but the manager and the cashier never said SORRY! Just people shop at the second hand store, it doesn't mean the Goodwill employee can disrespect people. She not only couldn't remember that I had already paid her, she was extremely rude by making me out to be a liar in front of other customers. Even when the manager later acknowledged the cashier's mistake, there was no apology from anyone. No one should experience such public humiliation as I did through the behavior of this cashier. I have been donated to Good will frequently, but I will never do it anymore. I do donate over$5000 every year to several organizations so just $5 is not a deal deal for me but my point is the way to treat customers. read more

The person taking the donations acted like we were an inconvenience and she was doing us a favor by existing. This store is a hot mess so disorganized. All I got to say is when you shop here, you have your work cut out for you. I am not discouraging you because you might find exactly what you are looking for but you will probably have to dig for it. If you don't find what you are looking for at this location, be sure to visit the Midway location that is uber organized and clean. read more

I love this store. The problem is the employees. I was getting ready to check out when I noticed a bin of new donations from Target. I began looking in the bin and grabbed a Chi iron priced $10 when the cashier told me I wasnt allowed to, she then had another employee take the bin to the back. I left and returned within the hour. The cashier stated (with an attitude) she wont be putting out the new items til the morn. REALLY???? The sh## isnt yours. Whats the attitude all about?
