One of this best thrift stores in the DFW! I have visited 2-3 times a week sometimes and can still find gem after gem every time! It's super clean inside and they have volunteers that are constantly restocking shelves. Another bonus, after your 1st three visits you get 50% off on your 4th visit! The prices are a great and the pieces are good quality gently used items. You can tell the employees really pay attention to what they put out on the floor. I did a little background research also, and found out the proceeds from this thrift store are put back into the community through the organization and helps provide food to families! Great prices and great selection. I was able to get a walker and shower seat the day before my mom arrived from out of town. Of course, it's not for sure you'll find something you need all the time. Beautiful presentation and radiant smiles on the staff. Clean smell and not musty smelling. I also like that there is a frequent flier card/ return visit card which I think is stamped with at least a $10 sale. I can here for a filing cabinet, which comes and goes with stock as available. They said they would keep an eye out for me. The GoodWill store sent me over as they do not carry furnitures at Goodwill for the most part. The store is located by the Dollar Tree and Fuzzy's taco. The sign for the store itself was a little ambiguous, it reads "resale" as the most visible word and then the rest of the store name is in smaller lettering. The store is not very big, but it is well-lit and organized. The staff are busy organizing shelves and it is dusted well. Friendly staff and personable. I will enjoy coming here often now that I know where it is and how nice it is. There is a nice variety and good quality! Prices are good and the store is a blessed ministry!!! Having been to a lot of consignment / resale shops, I con honestly say that Metrocrest is one of the best. My wife and I try to go there about once a month. You never know what goodies you might find. My favorite thing about them though is that proceeds go to support local area needs within our community. Go there regularly, and you can easily score bargains on gently used fine merchandise at times, as well as the occasional collectible. The selection is appropriately curated in the sense that there is not junk in there. They do the sorting, find the good stuff, organize it, and price it low for you. Giving it a one star to bring attention to the new manager. This woman isn't someone you'd think of when you think of someone who manages a charitable organization. Brought multiple bags of kids toys, clothes, electronics (working alarm clocks/radios) all like new/ barely used... she was in the back as I pulled around to drop off the bags, checking in and giving her sorting employees a "pep talk" about how "it's ok, and you'll get through it"... As I pulled the bags from my trunk, with none of her assistance, she quickly asked "what do you have for us" .... "kids stuff!" .... "good stuff? Ok..." " no.. KID stuff, but yes, good stuff!.... "ah, what kind of kid stuff?" ... "clothes, toys..." ..."are the toys like new, In original packaging?".... "they are like new but not in their packaging obviously!" .... "sorry we only accept new toys in original packaging".... "wow, that's unfortunate. I have a lot of good stuff here and I can't sift through it all now" .... "sorry, we can't accept it...." ..."ok, I guess goodwill will get it all then.." .... she shrugs, turns away, give her employees another "Keep it up, I'll check in again tomorrow!" And leaves.... I had JUST been inside the store to make sure they accepted my type of donations, and her shelves were BARE. There were maybe 3 broken toys and two racks of children's clothing. You'd think someone this cold and persnickety wouldn't be running a resale shop. Also. It's ok to be picky about what you want to offer in your store, but do it at store level... accept whatever is offered to you (since you're a donation based shop) and sift it as you please. Don't turn away donations as a whole or you'll lose some really good donations and the customer. The employees, on the other hand... loyal, sweet, accommodating and overall pleasant. Hope the new manager doesn't ruin it for them and the charity the store supports... read more

Very nice thrift shop! It's not as big as the Goodwill down the road but they compensate by making sure the items are high quality and clean. I bought a really solid desk chair that was also clean for $12 LOL! I was amazed at all the vintage well maintained furniture as well as the leather chairs and couches (sanitized for your health and theirs). I found a lot of items I would have liked to buy BUT I am a "minimalist" so I have to watch myself. I think there is at least something there for everyone. Again I was struck by the high quality brand names of a lot of the items with a low price tag. The clerks were super friendly and the proceeds are a big chunk of the funding for the Carrollton food bank and when parents are struggling and raising kids this is wonderful to know I had a part in helping them out by purchasing stuff that was a great bargain! To all you jerks that give a business like this a low rating...please go back to the hole you crawled out of! Nothing worse that snooty nasty people that have nothing better to do then making up crap about good businesses out here that are doing the right thing. May karma smite you all! read more

The furniture is super lovely quality clean stuff and well displayed .well done to the manager and the staff. It's located at a very convenient point you can get there easily by public transportation too, which I opt to use on my days off and DART drops you and picks you up very close to the store. This thrift store is a lot different than what I'm used to, but in a good way. It's rather small, and laid out more like a "consignment " or boutique thrift store--you know, not overcrowded, big isle space, bright lights, and clean. But, it has down to earth thrift prices--not consignment prices. The assortment is about 50% furniture, in fair to good condition. The styles are mostly 70s-80s, out-of-style but well-made, if you can overhaul them or just appreciate their quirks. 25% is ladies clothing, shoes and accessories, this is all better quality, higher end stuff. It's more of a "curated" mix, and as such is very limited in sizes. I didn't see anything plus, petite or tall. The final 25% is a little bit of a jumble, CDs, home accents and accessories, dishes, etc. I picked up a large agate slice to use as a coaster for $5. They do have discounts by color tag days, but I saw very limited inventory in the sale colors, so I would guess they only cycle the stuff to the sale when it's hung around for a long time. Given the smaller size and curated approach, I would imagine being a regular is the best way to find the true gems, but everything was worth a look. read more

The employees are always incredibly friendly and helpful, the store although a bit small is always clean and well organized, and it is very likely you will walk out with a gem each time without spending a large part of your day searching for a good thrifted piece like you would at Goodwill. Keep in mind (unless there is a sale) you probably won't get a shirt or blouse for less than $5 like you can at GW. read more

Went around to the back, rang the doorbell and someone came to help me unload my car. All profits go back to Metrocrest Services, a local nonprofit helping low-income families in the Metrocrest area, so it makes me feel good knowing I'm helping my neighbors! I have bought Limoge china, Cold Creek with the price tag still on it. $89.00 marked $ 12.00. Sometimes beautiful leather furniture, desks, chairs, childrens things. I've been thrifting here for over a year and it's one of my favorite spots this side of town. I love that they do certified sanitation on all their upholstered furniture. We bought an amazing recliner that was sanitized and it only sat us back $70. It was in fantastic condition and they even held onto it for a week so we could pick it up during our move. I've found so many amazing things here and all for reasonable prices! This is a fantastic place to go to for furniture. Their store is small but they are always putting out new pieces. My husband and I recently bought a house and money was tight. We managed to furnish much of it with pieces from this store. I've also found some amazing mid century modern finds, including some vases, hot plates, china, glass serving dishes and even art. I saw someone say their lamps are expensive but that's for their new lamps (unused!). I bought an older floor lamp here and it only ran me $14. The people here are also friendly. After about my third visit in 3 weeks the main woman up front memorized my face and began to memorize what we likes. One time she even took us in the back to show us an item they weren't done prepping to see if it fit with the rest of the things we were looking for. read more

So far, my favorite thrift store in DFW. It's not as big as the Goodwill's or other resale shops you see, but the selection offers better quality of stuff (housewares, clothing, handbags, books, knick-knacks, etc) and their furniture was clean, fairly modern and pretty darn cheap. I almost bought an oversized sectional that I didn't need simply because it seemed like a crime not to buy something that affordable. The ladies are so friendly and helpful. Plus, a portion (or all?) of their net sales benefit a homeless charity in the area. Hidden gem! read more

Ok so there were only two reviews to I decided to just go check it out. It is small and not a lot to pick from. What it looks like to me is that the ladies working there are being picky on what is donated. They take only what looks a little more high end and I guess tosses the rest. They are trying to make it a high end resale shop and you can tell by the OVER PRICED used items. A lamp was priced at 40.00. I can go get a new lamp for 40.00. The house ware items that should be cheap are not so cheap. I don't see how this place will stay open. When you go thrift store shopping you are looking for thrift store prices. Not this place so I won't be going back. read more

We just purchased a dresser here and the prices are very fair. They do have higher priced and higher quality items, but those that are of average quality are more affordable than other thrift stores we've visited, the resale shop and the CCA for example. They also had more yoga and pajama pants. Either most people do not donate them, or most places toss the donation. Some of us can't even afford $10 Walmart pajamas however. That was a pleasant surprise. The attendants were very approachable. Highly recommend. read more

I discovered this shop about a year ago and it is my favorite resale shop. It is super clean well organized. My favorite thing is that their stock changes pretty fast so I can always find something without looking at the same stuff over and over. That being said... If you want it buy it. I missed a good deal by waiting. The staff is super sweet and helpful. I hear them call many customers by name. They were very nice when I knocked a small item off the shelf. They have some nice furniture. A section up front for high end items and designer clothes and the real bargains toward the back. It is a charity shop, so it's nice that the money goes back into my community. I've even donated some items to them when I did spring cleaning. Small shop but well worth the trip. read more

This store is smaller, well organized and clean. Clothes are clean and in good shape just not as much to choose from as I think many do not know the resale is there and not as many donations. My biggest beef is with the volunteers/employees. I took in 2 bags of NICE clothes, wool suits & pants, silk tops, dress slacks, professional clothing, shoes, jewelry and the like, as I know they carry "better items". The lady working the front counter was shopping and did not look up nor acknowledge me until I heaved the bags on the counter and only then did she look up. After a moment she said, "Do you have donations"? I said "yes ma'am" and she told me to just leave them there. When I didn't leave right away she asked what else I wanted and I told her a tax receipt. She did come give me a receipt but acted much put out that she had to stop her shopping. I didn't even get a "thanks". Don't think I will donate to them again....I should have tried to consign first. read more
