My friend and brought me here today and introduced me to Carrie who owns and operates the store. She was super nice and knowledgeable about the inventory. Left us alone to browse but was never too far away when we had questions about things. I picked up a huge wooden picture frame for an item I need to frame. Been looking for a while now so this was perfect timing. I'll be back for sure to browse and find random treasures.

I asked SIRI for some thrift store suggestions. I chose the second suggestion-Niagara Heritage of Hope and Service. Being only a few minutes away, I took a chance and went there. It was obviously an old Catholic school/church. Feeling nostalgic (and having a sense of deja-vu), I entered the old building and was immediately greeted by a very happy woman and a young man. When I explained my situation, she immediately sprang into action! Within moments, she found a walker with wheels and a quad cane in great condition! During that time, she told me the history of the former church (Holy Trinity) and all the things they do there now. Even though I was short on time, I decided to browse! There literally was something for everyone! The people entering and exiting-they were SO SWEET and full of conversation. There was a young boy who asked (very politely)if there were masks that went with a specific costume. This lovely woman again stopped what she was doing to help him! I was totally impressed! (She was short-handed that day, but she didn't let that overwhelm her!) As for me? I ended up walking out of there with a beautiful afghan and holiday decorations (besides the medical equipment)-and it didn't break the bank!!! When I left the area, it then hit me-I HAD been there years ago! I was a young teacher at that time and had to go there for a training! If you know of someone with a limited income, or if you want to save a few $$, or if you have a sense of appreciation for all things thrifty, this place is worth a look a look (or two or three!) I WILL be back! Please note-they are only opened on Saturdays.

You pull up to the entrance, doors(flaps) open, you pull through where greeted, by an employee. All I had to do was pop my trunk and they grabbed the donations for me out the trunk. You are also off a coupon after the donation.

I am sorry to say that I think it's near the end of its time. Hard to justify spending time or money here when it is so cluttered, poorly lit and filled with trash. I think this is a really lovely thrift store, I agree that it's extremely cluttered, but in a good way. I think this is what a thrift store should look like. Not corporate at all. Family owned and very unpredictable and real. It reminds me if Sylvester's in my hometown of England, right next to where I grew up. It's a wonderful little store. Lots of treasures to be found. And prices are actually pretty darn good.

I hate when I went shopping at other Saks Off 5th in other outlet locations where it feels like a thrift store. I know this is an outlet and everything is not regular price but one won't find a $1000+ pair of Jimmy Choo's boots just lying around on the floor?! Sales here is decent as it always have additional discount on the lowest ticket prices. I guess I never even want to pay full on a discounted price?! They have washroom facilities inside the store and it is never a line.

I feel this way because the other Saks Off 5th I have visited, near NYC, have been much better quality, choice and condition wise. But it does have an outside entrance, so you can park (usually easier on this side of the mall too), and pop in here and just here if you want. The checkout here can get backed-up quickly as well. They do a brisk business here and even during "off times" it can be busy here.
