None of the workers talked to us until we asked them a question and then they offered us their thoughts on our outfits and was much more visible and approachable. There's a really good selection here. The men's section is pretty much two-three racks. Which was disappointing. There's a ton of quality options and even better when you come during one of their sales. Came during their pink and blue sale. 50% and 30% off of their clothes. There's boots, hats, jeans, dresses, jumpers, night gowns, slits, lingerie, jackets, jewlery and more. A lot of cute things. There's about 5 different rooms for you wander around. Fitting room is in the back of the store. There's 4 I believe. There wasn't a great range of sizes. The entrance is hidden however. You need to walk down a semi ally to get to the store. I didn't see any signs on the street. There was a small rack of clothes on the sideway which let me know that I was in the right area. Parking is on the street. Depending on the time of day, it could be easy or you'll be walking a few blocks. If you're parking on the main street, make sure you pay for parking during the week because parking enforcement are always around.

Very small and disorganized. Not a lot hanging on the racks, and there were no prices on them. One…read moreof the cooler pieces here were some funky disco boots way up on a high shelf in the corner collecting dust, no visible price tag or size which would likely help them sell. There were a lot of clothes/miscellaneous things in reusable shopping bags stuffed underneath the racks...unclear if shoppers are expected to dig through them. Lots of dust on the floor, got all over my skirt when I bent down to look. There is a bus parked outside that has more items for sale, but again totally disorganized and tons of junk shoved under the racks. This store has potential but the owner needs to put more effort into curating, pricing, organizing, and cleaning.

It seems the Serendipity Shoppe must have relocated since the reviews of a few years ago…read more Serendipity is not in the Blackrock area. It is located within the First Presbyterian Church at the corner of Wadsworth and Pennsylvania. The entrance is on Wadsworth, but there is parking available via a driveway on Pennsylvania. Additionally, there is handicap access available. If needed, call from the parking lot and one of the volunteers will come to escort you to the code-required elevator. Okay. Now that we know where Serendipity can be found, what can we expect within? At least one serendipitous find. For instance, last Saturday my daughter, just prior to attending a graduation party, found a graduation card there, obviating the need to stop again to buy a card. That could not have been more serendipitous. Okay, okay. Imagine a thrift store and an antique store got married and had a baby. Serendipity? But, of course. You won't find clothing, as a rule. Not saying never, but Amvets and Buffalo City Mission have clothes. At Serendipity you will find collectibles of myriad types, books, jewelry, lamps, dinnerware, pottery, home décor, eclectic gifts. Perhaps a hat. Possibly a shawl. Books are nicely shelved and categorized. Every other thrift store I have been in could take a lesson. I had planned to return and take some interior photos before reviewing; seeing as the location seemed to be in question from past reviews, however, I decided to post now, make the location clear, and return at some later date with more photos. The address above is correct: One Symphony circle. Phone 716-248-0232. ALL proceeds benefit people living with HIV/AIDS. Donations are always welcome -- saleable items, as well as cash. The charity is The Aids Plus Fund of WNY, a 501c non-profit. On Facebook, look for Serendipity Thrift Shoppe. Several photos there, too. And they do accept credit and debit cards, as well as cash.

Service was lacking, a bit pricey for second hand items donated. A lot with no history to them…read more Just nothing to brag about honestly.
