It was like any modern mall and was pretty huge although from outside it looks pretty small and old. There is a fashion outlet mall in niagara falls canada as well which is open (not covered) but this one was covered and air conditioned so it was a relief in this extreme heat. The mall had all latest brands. It was not busy at all. We did a little bit of shopping from old navy as there was a sale going on and deals were pretty good. The lady at checkout was very helpful. There was a good selection of clothes available in the mall. The food court was also decent and we bought lunch from krispy chicken which was halal and service was pretty good. Would recommend it to everyone.

A disappointing time to visit the outlet mall…read more Outlet Collection Niagara is one of the biggest outlets around and we stopped by expecting some good deals based on the hype and an easy way to burn an hour or two near Niagara Falls. But while parking was easy when we visited, it felt like an ordinary outdoor mall with limited deals to be found for a Fall weekend. They also advertised a Fall festival display but it wasn't hosted on a holiday and there was no theme in the shopping area. Yes, you can find many of the popular stores like Nike, Adidas, Aritzia, Lululemon, North Face and perhaps 100 other brands. It's a spacious mall with plenty of walking space and a few gathering points for kids, some snacks and guest services for out-of-town shopper discount cards. However the deals were underwhelming with no real deals at Asics, Lids and Nike before we walked out. Skip it or hit it? Skip it unless you're already in the Niagara area with a specific store sale in mind.

These days, and not just Nike, outlets aren't even cheap anymore. It's easier and cheaper most of the time to just buy it online. Which is sad, because I still like the "old fashioned" experience of going into a store. Once in awhile you'll catch some deals. So it's not ALL bad... but they still have the Nike hoody that runs like $70 or so... which to me, isn't a deal at all. Prices, everywhere, continue to climb. For a moment, I thought this could be the new XS Cargo--a Canadian discount chain that closed down several years ago and I have longed for the return of. I was aware that many Amazon products that are returned get sold to liquidators, so I entered the store with expectations of pretty competitive pricing. What I found was a pretty broad collection of cheaper-quality products at, what seemed like retail or near-retail prices. In spite of signage assuring me otherwise, the discounts that I saw just quite didn't rationalize the purchase price for me. After all, some of these products may even be defective Amazon returns and the savings just weren't substantial enough to take that risk. While the products may indeed be acquired through a liquidation sale, or Amazon palette auction model, the price that consumers like me see doesn't quite reflect that. It feels like someone's making a handsome markup here.
