The next morning, less than 24 hours after the initial purchase, I attempt to return the dress and the owner said, "I can't believe you would ask to return this." I was a new customer and was not told the store policy at the time of purchase. Essentially, I was punished for shopping there. I faced a hardship because I did not look and read every single thing on her cluttered counter. I could understand refusing the return had the dress been worn, or if the return date was lengthy, but she refused to return my money because there was nothing else in the store worth purchasing. The most challenging part was the owner's deplorable attitude. She only cared about how the purchase impacted her, not me. Had she returned this item, I would have been likely to patronize her business in the future, now, all I will do is avoid it and warn others to be 100% certain of their purchase.

The styles and sizes don't fit was they used to (changes in us not them I'm sure), but this is a nice outlet store anyway. They have one at Woodbury Commons as well, and they both seem to be hybrid stores. Some stuff is clearance/outlet, other stuff is more "regular store". Since some of the other stores at Woodbury do this too (Ugg comes to mind), this is something that stores seem to do now. The outlet store is really half outlet (clearance prices) and half regular store. They have a great selection of clothes, outwear, and even luggage and bags. Sometimes the clearance prices are better than other times, but if you're a rewards member, you get a coupons a few times a year that makes shopping here a much sweeter deal. Being plus size, I love that they carry XXL and sometimes have a few random women's size pieces here. They also randomly have tall sizes that I sometimes opt for since I find that the sleeves and torsos of their shirts are sometimes way too short (especially after being washed). My latest pet peeve though is that they used to carry 18s and 20s in ladies pants in the store and they don't anymore!! When I asked about this the employees told me those sizes are available "by catalog or online only" now. WTF?! So many stores are starting to do this and it's really irking me. So now I have to pay not only $5-10 more for a plus size item to begin with, but I also now have to pay $10 shipping and the clothes might not even fit?! VERY annoying. Unlike another consignment store in the area that just gives you a number for your items and never tells you exactly what sold. Becomes a mystery. And then you have to hunt all over the place to find your items that didn't sell if you want them back. But here, I ask for items that don't sell back and they keep them for me to pick up within a window of time. They take appointments on their website for consigning your things the first few days of the month only. It's very organized and I appreciate that. They may not take many of the items you hope to consign. But at least they're honest and organized.

I don't love the clothes the way I used to, probably because I am 36 years old and this store is geared toward the younger crowd. And the bras just aren't working for my size (they carry my size, but I find it lacks the support I need). But it's fun to look at everything. What I do love is there body sprays/lotions. They smell so good!! I bought 5 different scents today, despite having a complete overflow at home! Customer service was great today as well. My cashiers name is not on the receipt but she was great helping on the floor as well as at the register and helping me navigate my way through coupons and rewards. Another woman, possibly the manager, came up to me with a product I may like at the register when she saw I was buying scents she likes as well. It was a really nice and and personable experience. She didn't force me to buy it or anything either, she just said you gotta smell this you'll love it, and left me to smell and decide for myself, no pressure. I really liked that. These beauties were strategically placed everywhere BUT at the register, to the point of having a queue (a cattle corral really, disguised with pink bows) decorated with yet another beauty hawking yet another deal. NO. I don't want the whatever-it-is, I just want to check out, can't you please go back there and attend the register so we can all move on?! It's not the employees' fault. They are doing their job. It's just a sorry way to do business IMHO. I have yet to find someone who either likes it when a driver tailgates them or enjoys these high-pressure salespeople. I must add we had good service from a non-bothersome helper we approached who steered us to the department called, ahem, Wicked. She was no-nonsense, stocking the underthings, yet took the time to actually assist us in a cheery manner. The other lovelies could take a pointer from her.
