I don't mind that you can pay more for used clothes then when they go on sale new. I do mind that so many of the clothes have tears and stains, so so many stains. Found a shirt I really liked but it had blood stains in the collar and an unknown hard stain on the front. How is that acceptable? read more

I live in Butte and I will not shop there either. Prices are too high for a "thrift store" and don't give me the song and dance of training, rent, power, wages, etc. We can all go online and look at the profits of Goodwill and the high wages they pay their executives so I would think they might realize why should the public pay high prices for donated items so they can live high on the hog. Maybe if you sold for less, you would sell more quantity. You are a greedy thrift store. Better take a look at your financials and see why the public is outraged. I am all about donating to good causes but only when I see who benefits from what I have donated. read more

unfortunately the website is not accurate on what they do and don't accept, which causes issues having to re-sort donations often. As an example, the website says they accept VHS movies, and they were refused. I don't want to bring in what is going to be rejected -- wish they had an accurate list! read more

I stopped to donate on 4/5/21 about 330 pm. As I pulled up the man was rolling a box away, I could hear glass breaking. He pushed an empty cart at me and proceeded to bang a hand forklift up the curb. I hesitated and he yelled " just toss it all in there" gesturing at the cart. I yelled back that I had some really delicate things (crystal glassware ect.) He said "just fill it up, that's what we do." Based on his words and the breaking glass, it was pretty clear he didn't care if the items made it to be sold or not. If it's not sold it doesn't help anyone. I decided I would take my stuff somewhere it would be given at least the chance to get inside before being broken. He said "whatever, that's your prerogative." And walked away. That was the public face for donations at the Goodwill. Why would I donate to an organization who allows that? read more

I have found some decent things. It's a little frustrating that they went back to individually pricing everything. I shop at Goodwill as I don't buy new. I liked the simple pricing structure because it was waste free. read more

I shop Goodwill stores all over the west coast and this is by far the most expensive one I have been to! I was very surprised. Normally an infant shirt at all other Goodwill stores is .99 cents. Infant shirts at this location were $3.99. I plan on contacting corporate because I know this is not the norm. I'm not sure what the deal is with this location. I do not plan on returning to this location. read more

We always stop here when we come to Zoo town. Their discount color tags go down to just a buck on mondays, but be prepared to stand in line at the door when they open that day. I found several pairs of cute shoes this time around. read more

I have been to the Goodwill 3 times in the last 2 months and the prices they are asking are outrageous. Used coffee mugs for $3.99, chipped or broken nick-knacks $2.99 on up, small wooden box $4.99. I understand they need to make money but this is ridiculous. Silver plated plate $6.99. The prices on some of the items their selling are close to Retail prices. I'm not made out of money and I am not going to pay money for overpriced items. read more

Made a donation today. I called ahead and the gal on the phone was super sweet and explained that we could donate until 5 o'clock and so I drove in from out of town and waited in a very long line. Pulled up to donate. After I gave him a friendly greeting, he just ignored me.. He then couldn't have been ruder or been more rough with the things beiing donated. I handed him one box of things and he dumped it upside down into a bin. It had breakable in it. Some people really just should not work with the public. The things I donated were very nice and some had been my father's. It really bothered me that they were treated with so little respect. I'll go somewhere else next time. read more

I love recycling of any kind. Goodwill's across the nation are awesome. This 1 seemed to have a great jean selection. I saw quite a few jeans I would have tried on & probably purchased if I lived in Missoula. If I remember correctly they started at about $6 or so. Not as much luck with tops or shoes. This is the best Goodwill in Montana and possibly America. Last weekend I accidentally donated the wrong bag of cloths giving away jackets that were meant to be kept. I went into good will and meet with Warren the manager who was extremely helpful, I described what I had donated and He told me he would inform his staff to lookout for the jackets. A few days later I received a call from Warren informing me they had found all of the jackets except one! I was very thankful to say the least. I was able to get the jackets back and Warren and his staff were incredibly helpful. Thank you Warren and the Missoula Goodwill team you all rock! read more

So I stopped at the Goodwill today. After many of us standing in the back to try on clothes waited over 15 minutes for someone to show up and open the doors, people finally had their kids crawl under the doors to unlock them so they could try on clothes. When I finally checked out, I told the cashier, Kathleen R (according to my receipt) what was happening in the back and suggested she let the manager/supervisor on shift know. She said they were shortstaffed today and I was more than welcome to call in and visit with a manager. I suggested that she at least have someone go back and check it now since there was a long line? She said she only worked two days a week and so it wasn't her problem. I suggested that it might preclude people shopping elsewhere because people wanted to try on clothes first before they purchased them. She told me if I wanted to get out of line I could go find a supervisor if there was one available and visit with them. I said no, since she obviously didn't care very much neither should I. Over time, the prices at the Goodwills have gone up to where they are 80% of new. Sometimes I can find those clothes/household new on sale or close out for better prices. But there are less people working and they are more shortstaffed than ever. I guess I will spend my money elsewhere in Missoula instead of going to the Goodwill from now on... read more

There was what at the time I thought was a poor mannered customer bumping into us getting through the store just to sit on the furniture and get on his phone, come to find out this big ass works there... walks around like he lives there and is at no help to the customers. The prices at this store are insanely high for second hand, and they cram so much clothing on the racks that it is impossible to look through anything. Not to mention that most of the employees (especia one older female manager) seem to have huge resentment for their job and anyone who comes into their store. You are way better off hitting up Restyle or Runway, or even Secret Seconds. read more

They seem to have a younger male supervisor that's is very rude to me every time I have dealt with him now on two different occasions the first occasion been I asked him and said you would think all the money that Goodwill makes you could at least hire more than two cashiers considering they have room enough for four cashier's out front he said oh Goodwill is a non-profit well when you Google Goodwill it says less than 8% of the revenue goes for non-profit it also states that the CEO of Goodwill makes 2 point plus billion dollars off of Goodwill industries I'm not sure what this male supervisor problem is with me but it is apparent he don't like gay people or fat people or maybe it's just that I'm playing a senior citizen he's very rude and disrespectful here's my second encounter I was in the store yesterday looking around cuz I shopped there two to three times a week I happen to know that there was a very very small sewing machine this sew machine had very little value to me it look like a $9.99 sewing machine it was very old and dated I asked the cashier if there was any way I'd be able to maybe only pay $10 worth instead of $15 worth and explain that I lived you know 30 miles away and if it didn't work I would have to bring it back and it cost gas money and whatever and then it was old when the supervisor came up I explained this to him and he said I quote if there was something significantly wrong with it I could discounted but age has nothing to do with it well excuse me but when things are older and age they tend to wear out or be not up to working Sanders as they were when they were brand new and came out of the box regardless somebody needs to speak to this male supervisor because to be quite honest he is very disrespectful I am a senior citizen and I do not deserve to be treated like trash or garbage I am not sure if he does not like me because I am just old or if it's because I am a very large man overweight some people even say you know fat or if it is because I am a gay man but regardless I have had it with a supervisor and somebody needs to address the situation because next time I am going to videotape my encounter and place it on tick tock so the whole world can see regardless I don't know who or where the Young gentleman supervisor grew up but he was not very many manners obviously he was not taught to respect his elders and he has never been taught good customer service skills I work in the retail business for many years and wasn't a peril manager and to be honest if any of my staff ever ever treated any of our customers the way this guy has disrespected me they would no longer have been working just thought you should know. read more

The best Goodwill I've ever visited. Everything seemed clean and well-presented and the staff was friendly. I figured it would be picked over by the college kids, but nope...The store offered a ton of selection at very low prices. I'll certainly be visiting again soon. read more

Checked out the store today and found used Mainstay brand bath towels designed exclusively for Wal-Mart priced at $3.99 each. Can get this brand new at Wal-Mart for $3.97, and that's before factoring in the manufacturer's coupon that Goodwill won't accept but Wal-Mart does. This isn't the first time I've noticed ridiculously priced items at this particular "nonprofit". Also, the above review while waiting in line to check out. Talk about slow service! It seems to be like this every time. With so many awesome thrift shops in Missoula, I don't think I'll be wasting my time here again. read more

I'm very disappointed in the Missoula Goodwill story for 2 reasons: One, that your prices keep climbing....you have lots and lots of inventory given to you! Two, that you don't sell Legos on the floor anymore....but just on ShopGoodwill.com. There of those of us who just want to buy a small bag now and then.
