I really can hardly even believe how great these guys are. Last time I had to add some furniture to my life, I was able to come here and get two matching armchairs, a three-cushion couch, and a dining room table with a leaf for $200 with delivery (up the stairs of the apartment building!) included. When they were moving the couch, they noticed it had a little bit of an odor they had not been previously aware of-- so they called and asked if we still wanted it, and when we did they delivered it with the rest, but refunded us $50 so the couch was free. Integrity! This was more than five years ago and the armchair I still have is only now reaching the end of its lifespan, and it has not been treated gently. The prices are a steal, they have quality standards, and they run a lean operation because they don't exist to make profits, they exist to raise money for child abuse prevention. (A pretty big contrast from the national thrift chain that pays exorbitant executive salaries and pretended paying people with disabilities way below minimum wage to staff their stores was 'charity'.) I honestly look forward to my next chance to buy from them. They also do donation pickup for free, if you need old furniture hauled away before a move. read more

I bought a washer and dryer. Great prices. The guy said they were in great shape and that they make sure everything works perfectly before they put it on the floor. During the first load, major problems. The tub would not fill with water. They came out to fix it, but still didn't work. They replaced with another washer, but after 2 months it started making horrible noise. Called and they only guarantee for one month, so out of luck. Called appliance repair, they charged me $90 to make it a bit better (less banging), but say that I need a new transmission, which will run me about $400. Wow! The dryer also has problems (needs about 90 minutes to dry a load). Will not buy from Donation Warehouse again. read more

I'd give 6 stars if I could. Every item I've purchased here has been immaculate and works great, plus appliances have a 30 day warranty. The prices are beyond reasonable for what you get and the staff members have always been super friendly and very helpful. Not to mention it goes to a great cause so go on down folks! read more

We bought a used washer here 4 years ago and it worked great. When it got a leak we couldn't fix ourselves, this was the first place we considered for a replacement. Not only will they deliver the new one for just $50, but they will pickup the old one to refurbish and resell. They will not come out this far unless have a full truck and we have a house full of furniture and was told it would not fill up their truck which I doubt! It's really sad places like this that say "donation" won't take "certain" items. I have a high chair that is in AMAZING condition and I got "we'll pass". You might pass....but how about that parent that can't afford this $100.00 retail high chair you can help the with and maybe sell it to them for $15?! In Missoula babysitting for our 1-year-old​ daughter while she works. Her dryer went down and fixing it these days costs as much as a good used one. Found the Donation Warehouse and the folks there are outstanding. Clean, helpful staff, knowledgeable​ and bought a rebuilt dryer for $135 that is great. Would highly recommend. read more

Donation Warehouse is the BEST used Furniture Store I have ever been to. AND i've been to a LOT. For for a living, I go all over (from Calif. to New York) looking for old/outdated/vintage pieces ( at a reasonable price) and bring them to my 'she cave' and 'restyle them. Laci is as sweet as can be. She's helpful, reliable, easy to work with and ALWAYS has a smile on her face. AND Mark, 'the go-to-fix-it' man is as easy going and on top of things as they come. The are both the most HELPFUL business owners I've had the pleasure to work with. What these two are doing to help the children of our community is heartfelt. Buy buying my furntiture through Donation Warehouse, I can a SMALL part of this incredible effort. If I lived closer I would be there EVERYDAY!!! As it is, I never go to Missoula without stopping in. Not sure why I haven't reviewed this store yet since it was my first place to shop when we moved here. They've expanded recently, I assume because they are bringing in more revenue and can afford it. I really like that they give back the profits to help local children. It does have an odd smell now, not sure if it's all the old furniture or just the expansion area but it's noticeable. I've bought two chairs from here, both are used as cat scratchers. Though thankfully because I kept the original one they have yet to start on the new one. Yeah my cats are assholes, but hey it keeps them from getting my new expensive couch. Got the first chair for $5 the new addition for $25. I happen to love 70s style furniture, so that is what I'm usually looking for. I also am the proud owner of a vintage lamp, two bar chairs, and three filing cabinets I've redone. I recommend this place for anyone on a budget, or anyone looking for vintage/antiques. They have plenty of modern, but I just don't think things are built as well now as they were before. read more

Our Maytag refrigerator died on the job. Out of the blue. We also had Maytag coil range that we hated. It was time to purchase some new appliances! We live in Salmon, ID area (horse rescue ranch). There are two places in Salmon to go to for appliances (one dealing in used, and one new). Used place was WAY too expensive, and the new didn't have what we wanted, and we wanted it FAST (which excludes Overstock, and other web based outlets). We never heard of "Donation Warehouse", and got intrigued by their adds on Craigslist. In short,......drove to Missoula, picked up a NICE Maytag refrigerator, and the Maytag glass top range, and while there, picked up a gliding chair as well! Great prices, great and helpful people. The whole "shopping" was done (and loaded on the truck!) in 35 minutes! I wish I found this place sooner. I'll definitely be back. read more

I have been in this store many times, always stop when I am on that side of town. I am hoping the man was having a bad day. He didn't have refrigerators and a lady was looking for one. On the way out I told her my brother had one sitting on his porch that worked great. The man in the store told my sister and I we were tacky, taking his business away, they do donate to kids! We thought he was kidding but no he was seriously upset and cited a incident that happen a week ago. Someone was looking for something he didn't have and another customer had one for sale. I DO NOT how we were taking away his business if he didn't have one to sell! I put my donation on craigs list instead of giving it to him. THAT is taking business away.
