The auto system let me know a day ahead of time the delivery time window. The following day another automated message said the driver was on the way in about 15 minutes. Though we had to wait 2 weeks for delivery (truly, not a big deal), the buying process was uneventful, whereas the delivery & setup exceeded expectations...mostly because the truck appeared an hour earlier than expected...meaning our dinner hour was NOT screwed up by a late window...the driver did an incredible job navigating that big truck through our very narrow gate (*whew*), and they were super-quick setting up the new washer & dryer while hauling away the old. Although the sales person that helped us with our gas range purchase on November 22 was great,customer service stopped there. Two weeks after getting the range,the oven stopped working, I called and asked when they could send a service person out,they told me a month. Good prices but multiple appliances had significant mechanical issues just after leaving 1yr warranty. While that's really on the appliance brands, Fred's was weeks out on sending a tech and super expensive even though these were practically new items. Original Salesperson said he would try to work with me then stopped responding to my messages, even though one of the issues was a faulty assembly that caused a significant spark inside the washer dryer and could have started a fire. We purchased a set of Viking appliances (fridge, freezer, dishwasher, range, double stacked oven). Love the products but the refrigerator door has not closed properly since it was new. Fred's has been to my house 8 times trying to repair and it's still not fixed. Their customer service has not been helpful. I never get any updates on the repair progress. Fred's Appliances I am reluctantly writing a very poor review of Fred's. Over the last 10 years I have purchased 3 high end appliances from Fred's including a GE Monogram dual door refrigerator, Bosch dishwasher and Kitchen Aid double oven This early summer our refrigerator stopped working. The repair department has been out 4 times with at least 3 weeks between each visit. We liked the repair technicians as we think they made a good faith effort. The excessive length of time between visits was unacceptable. I pleaded for faster repair visits and said I would pay extra for express delivery of necessary parts...no luck with that request We have been without a refrigerator the entire 4 months of summer. We had spent $915 on the repairs (we had a $500 credit). Fred's offer for washing their hands of me was $415 I tried to explain to Fred's corporate that I did not think this was fair at all especially after all the pain of being without a refrigerator the entire summer after being reassured after each repair it was fixed I guess the most infuriating part was Fred's negative attitude and basically corporate telling me tough luck and their very dismissive attitude. We purchased a refrigerator in November 2024 from Fred's appliance in Missoula. When it was delivered a part was broken. After three attempts over several months it still was not fixed. On the fourth try in Sept in they order parts. When the repairman arrived my husband said he would repair it himself. Twenty minutes later we immediately got a notice from Fred's stating our warranty was cancelled. (it only had 2 1/2 months left) and we would have to pay for the parts. They orderd parts that were not needed . It was a simple fix that should have taken 5 minutes to fix. We have not used the parts they ordered since we did not need them. Will never buy anything from Fred's again. We will live without the repair. Have never been treated by any business like this ever! read more

Mark Yaeger is, hands down, the absolute best sales person. My sister bought her kitchen/bath appliances from Fred's in Missoula and Mark was her sales person. He was knowledgeable and helpful throughout the entire experience. I asked him a lot of questions about my own home needs. Fast forward to a year later, I called him up and he helped me pick out a washer/dryer for my home. He is knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and goes way beyond the call of duty! Through no fault of his, I needed to return a washer/dryer I had just bought and he was quick to help me walk through problem solving steps, to help me with my return (with zero attitude - nothing but professionalism and kindness). shopping for a new range/oven today. we have a very odd sized range. Steve Shaw helped us. if anyone knows more about ranges than Steve I'd be surprised. unfortunately very few companies still make 40" ranges. His demeanor and lack of pressure made it almost enjoyable. We are a retired couple in Missoula, MT. A few years back we ordered, and they delivered a refrigerator both great sales service and on time delivery. This past Tuesday we went into Fred's Appliance, and they had in stock the electric range we wanted. They scheduled delivery for Saturday (today) and they came at the early time we asked for 8 am. In fact, and we greatly appreciated that they drove up and parked their big delivery truck on the street before 8 am and prepared the new Range for installation in the back of their truck, ie. unpacking and installing the new electrical cord. Josh and Trent, the delivery guys were very professional and completed the delivery, removing the hauling away the old range, leveling of the of the new range for even cake baking and stability, and prebaking the oven to remove the harmless oils in the oven. Information good to know and great sales service and delivery by Fred's Applicance. We can enjoy the rest of the day. read more

Recommend you dont purchase from Freds They have a no returns policy because they use a maintenance department to fix appliances. In the event that an appliance is returned, you will be charged 25% of the purchase price. This was an error on our part. We had to renovate our new home after moving. We recently purchased a floor model dishwasher that had some minor dents in it. It wasn't until I had my new kitchen installed a few weeks later that I was able to test and hook it up. When I eventually got it in, we discovered that the dishwasher would not start because the circuit fuse had shorted out. According to Freds, who we spoke with, it occurs frequently with the make and model. It took us two months to send a technician out to evaluate it. In the end, a completely new model was used in its place. After replacing it, we were able to use the dishwasher for roughly 1.5 months. The new dishwasher shorted out just like the old one did. The wait period for a service call can range from two weeks to a month. It takes roughly the same time to receive a part order and schedule installation. After two and a half months, we were able to get a part installed and the dishwasher started up once more. Therefore, for the amount that we were unable to use, the first broken model had been out of commission for almost five months. We received assurances that the part would never malfunction after it was replaced. The same part broke again a month and a half later, so we had to wait another month for maintenance to be completed. Compared to when we used the product itself, we spent more time hand washing the dishes. We didn't want the brand, so when we asked if we could return it and apply the difference toward a different model, we were told that if it could be fixed, we would, but we would have to keep it or pay a restocking fee equal to 25% of the $500 we paid for it. The management made the decision, and it is evident that they do not support consumer rights or customer satisfaction because they sold them useless equipment. advise you to pay the extra for higher-quality appliances at a different appliance store. read more

Purchased a refrigerator and had good service. A month later purchased a stove. Stove was installed , however the rack for the oven was defective and not usable. Installation team said we would get a 5% refund. When no refund appeared on our credit card we called the sales person,Kelly on 11/17/23. He said he would talk to the manager. After no response, we called again on 11/24. He gave the same response, he would talk to the manager and call back. After no response, we called on 11/29 and left a message. After no response, left a message on 12/4/2023. Now it is February and no communication from anyone at Fred's. Been waiting 3 months to get my dishwasher fixed. I purchased a high quality expensive Miele that failed after about 8 months. They showed up randomly early one morning without a phone call or any sort of communication that they were coming. They said they were here to make sure the dishwasher was plugged in. I told them I had already checked the plug and it was fine. They said they would order parts and get back to me. I have not heard anything and I am getting tired of doing dishes. We purchased kitchen appliances months ago. We were lied to by the salesman about installation requirements for the appliances which did delayed installation. The fridge door was scratched. Still waiting for a replacement door. There was a rebate for which we have not received the paperwork to even request the rebates. I have talked to the manager and salesman Sean on multiple occasions to have these issues resolved but as of today they still have not been. Do yourself a favor stay away! When our $5K Thermador steam oven was delivered, the truck driver said the oven was damaged. In hindsight, even though the driver documented the damage, we never should have accepted the oven. My husband immediately started the conversation with Fred's and asked to have the unit replaced. Over the last several months, Fred's sent several spare parts and an appliance repair person has been out twice to make repairs. The repairs are too extensive and is certainly way out of line for what should be expected for a "new" steam oven. We are not comfortable paying $5K for a new Thermador Steam Oven and getting a damaged unit. On June 3rd 2021, I ordered a small 20" electric cook stove. I had to pay in full instead of placing a deposit down for it, which I felt was odd? I was told it would arrive by early August. Throughout August I called Fred's several times to find out when it was going to arrive. Each time I spoke to a different person , who would tell me they had no idea when it would be delivered from the manufacture. It was apparent that since I had already paid full price for the item they didnt care about helping me find out when it would actually arrive. On September 13th I drove to Fred's and canceled the order. I was told they didnt have any 20" electric stoves on their floor. I located one on their floor and purchased it? I would not buy appliances anywhere else. The big box stores sometimes offer lower prices but also have a narrower choice of models and virtually no service. I once waited 25 minutes in Lowe's for someone to help me. I finally snagged a "salesman" and told him I needed a new dishwasher. He was obviously bored with his job, looked up and down the line of appliances and said "well, there they are" and walked away. I like Fred's wide selection of appliances and the professional sales help to choose among them. They give me the info I need about each one and they never "push" one model over the others. Best of all, they stand firmly behind their product. I was pleased with my most recent purchase, a GE washer and dryer. They were delivered on schedule and installed on time. I used them happily for months before discovering that the installers had made an error, a small error that resulted in a slow plumbing leak through the floor and into the ceiling of the room below. I did not notice it at first but then part of the ceiling got soaked it fell down, causing major damage. I notified my salesman about this and he was on board right away. He asked to be kept advised. After a plumber fixed the leak, I had DaySpring restoratons in for the repairs. The final cost was several thousand dollars but Fred's reimbursed me completely. This is real integrity. The repairs to my house cost them far more that the price of the washer and dryer, but they stood tall and took responsibility for the error. I also shop online and in the box stores, because they are convenient and most of them will easily take returns of a pair of shoes or a toaster. But for something as major as home appliances, I want a direct, personal relationship with the salesman. The price may be higher but the service is well worth it. read more

We have bought a washer and dryer from Fred's but it seems that the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing. We saw an advertisement on KPAX (?) local television station advertising a $10,000 kitchen makeover. It said just take photos of your old kitchen, submit them to local Freds and there would be a random drawing for a FREE Makeover. I called the local Missoula store and asked the salesman if we could submit the photos online or should we present them in some way. He essentially said "HuH? Do we have a contest going on? Better call Spokane since we don't know anything about a contest." Makes me somewhat nervous about the chances of my entry making it into the drawing. Last August 2018, we had our beautiful home built by a wonderful builder in Hamilton, MT. They had used Fred's Appliance as their appliance supplier, so we went to Fred's to select ours. The salesman that normally handled the appliance sales for our builder, was out on sick leave, so we ordered our appliances through Mike. They advertise that when purchasing a washer & dryer set,with the pedestals to go under them, one of the pedestals is free. We were charged for both. We purchased all of our Samsung appliances from Fred's, including a large Samsung stainless steel refrigerator. It was delivered in August 2018, & we began having issues with the ice maker from the day that it was delivered. The manufacture date of the refrigerator was May 2013, so apparently it had been sitting in Fred's warehouse for 5 years. There was a tag inside the refrigerator with that date. It was under warranty, and we called the store right away. They shuffled us off to their service center where we were told we would have to wait over a month to get a service call. I am so disappointed that I did not read the reviews for this store before we purchased our kitchen appliances from them. I would have never chosen this company if I had. Absolutely no customer service was received after my purchase. I purchased all appliances on June 6, 2020 and did receive most appliances within a couple of weeks but not the refrigerator. I understand we are experiencing some unprecedented times during this covid pandemic so patience was in order. As the months went by they gave me a new date the fridge would arrive, and they would call me. But each month I had to call them. Is a matter of fact I reminded them that they promised to call with and update and the following is a true response from the salesperson when I reminded him of this. "Look lady, we are extremely busy, we don't have time to call all our customers" Yikes! What a response! It is now November. They say they just don't know when it will arrive. I have been more patient with them than they deserve. So, enough is enough. I ordered a different brand from Home Depot and it is being delivered in one week. What is amazing to me is that the salesperson didn't even try to look for a different brand of fridge for me after all this time. Shame on me for not ending this sale months ago. The absolute worst customer service I have ever encountered. Had a microwave that was less than a year old and quite working. Called for a repair man in April of this year. First two time could not get it repaired. The third time the repair man was to come he could not Come because I do not get off work until three and because I live out of town they only come once a week. I then called to make an appointment for after 3 but could not be guaranteed that would happen because of course I still live out of town. I wish I could give them a zero star review! I am only addressing the service received after the purchase was made and delivered, not the appliance itself. Terrible customer service. Once the product is purchased, they obviously don't care about their customers repeat business. On October 19 I purchased a clothes dryer from them for my 94 year old mother. On the 25th they delivered it. Besides the price of the washer, she had to pay approximately $69 for delivery, $10.00 to remove her old one and an extra $19.99 for a power cord. I've never heard of having to pay extra for a cord. Don't washing machines come with a power cord? However, the cord did not fit into her outlet. The delivery person was able transfer the cord from her old dryer onto the new one. On the following day I took the cord back to return it and get a refund. They said because she paid with a check they will have to send her refund from the Spokane office. As of Sunday, November 17th she still hadn't received the refund. I called Fred's. The salesman told me he would check on it Monday morning when their Spokane office was open. Ten minutes later he did call me back and say he found the order in the computer, but was unable to see if the check was mailed. He said it should never take that long. He will call me back Monday morning. I hadn't heard from him so I called back in the afternoon. That person was not able to find where I talked to anyone. He took my info again and said he would give it to Mike as he was the salesman who sold it to mom. He would have Mike call me the next day. I waited until the afternoon and hadn't heard from him so I called back. He seemed to be unaware of my call then said he will check with Spokane, again, as that is what the first person said he would do, and he will get right back with me. I didn't hear from him, so I called back at 10:00 am the next day. I was told Mike had just come in and he would have him call me as soon ad he got settled. I told that salesman why I was calling, so he said, hold on for a minute. Then he came back and said Mike said he will call you back. Apparently he spoke to Mike about the call. Guess what? Mike didn't call back. I called the Spokane office directly the next morning and spoke to the bookkeeper and I told her the situation. She found the request for refund, but said they can't issue a refund from info on the computer. They have to receive a call from the Missoula office to ok it. Does that make ant sense? Not to me! Then I called the Missoula office and got Mike on thr phone. I asked him why after four calls from me I still didn't get a call from anyone there? He said, "I did speak to you once". I said then what did you do about it? No response. I told him he was supposed to call me back yesterday. He said he wasn't in yesterday. It was his day off. I said then either he or the other salesman I spoke to was lying. Which one was it? No response, just repeated he wasn't at work. I know that was an outright lie. Then he said he looked the order up and it never got entered because the delivery people forgot to record it. Another lie because it was recorded as verified by three of the other salesmen, the Spokane office and I saw them do it when I returned the power cord. He blamed his lack of service on someone else! I did ask him if he cared about return customers and he said yes. I asked him if he was familiar with Yelp and Google reviews. He said yes. I told him to keep his eyes open because I was going to write a scathing review. It was at that point he blamed it on the delivery people. The delivery had nothing to do with recording the return of the power cord. I told him I was done listening to his finger pointing and his lack of professionalism. Then I hung up. read more
