I arrived 9 minutes early to drop off 21 books and a new bench-cushion. I pulled in front of unloading because it was closed but close enough so I would not need to move and could start unloading the books. The receiving doors were open. An employee in a vest came out when I went to open the back door. He told me they were closed. No greeting. I smiled and said hi, that's ok I'll wait. He told me I had to leave. I looked at my phone and it was 9:51 am. They open at 10 am. I said I see I'm a few minutes early, is it ok if I start placing the books in a blue bin? He said no you need to leave. I said um, can I start unloading the books and by the time I'm done it will be 10 am and you will be open and can check them before I go. He said no you have to leave. So I sat in my car with the door open waiting, 6-minutes by then, while the employee stood there. At 10 am I started taking the books out of my car and stacked them. I had an appointment across the street and I didn't want to be late. When I was done he put them in a blue bin. I also had a brand new outdoor-cushion for a garden bench or porch swing. He asked what's that? I said a cushion for a swing or a bench. He said we don't accept furniture. I said it's not furniture. He said we don't accept mattresses. I said it is not a mattress. It's a bench cushion like a pillow, it's brand new never used. He said it's too big, we accept pillows. You will have to throw it away. I stood there wondering what is wrong with this young man. Why was he so argumentative? So I said ok next time I'll look online for acceptable items. What he should have said was unfortunately we don't take cushions but you might want to try Habitat for Humanity. ...BUT the employee did not. What a horrible interaction with this employee. I arrived in a happy mood and left feeling attacked and grumpy. Not a very nice interaction. read more

Disappointed in this store. So.Much.Stuff on the shelves because their prices are 2-3X what they should be. It's hard to see what they have because stuff is literally piled on the shelves. No dressing rooms, and one single mirror by the cash register. Not set up for shopping ease or enjoyment. I won't come back here. read more

This location is one of my absolute favorites! A ton of options to choose from and very well organized. I always choose from the color tags and walk out of the store with something new at less than what I originally thought I would spend! read more

This Goodwill is horrible. All Goodwills suck. But this one is the worst. DO NOT DONATE TO GOODWILL Have you ever met ANYONE that Goodwill has helped? Mmm, I didn't think so. Ask your friends if they know anyone. They don't either. I'm not talking about the people they employ. They CLAIM to help people. They'll take credit for giving challenged people jobs. Those jobs don't last long. DO NOT DONATE TO GOODWILL They don't feed people. They don't house people. They don't clothe people. I have never met anyone who has said that Goodwill has helped them. Goodwill just helps themselves. DO NOT DONATE TO GOODWILL. They are not a real charity. They are big business taking advantage of peoples good hearts. read more

A pretty typical Olympics & Rainier Region Goodwill store, this location is smallish and off the beaten path -- it's off a side street and in a parking lot behind a parking lot. Is it worth the trouble of finding it? Well, maybe if you're already in Puyallup. It has a similar setup to other small Washington Goodwills, with women's and junior's clothing in the front, men's and kids' on the side wall, and a small selection of housewares, appliances and furniture at the back. The housewares section was especially small here, but they did have a lot of kids' clothes. The women's dresses, jewelry and collectibles sections were very small, too. They have the same colored-tag discounts as other Goodwill stores, and you'll need them -- prices were surprisingly high here on not-that-special stuff. I saw a pair of used, heavily pilled Gap trousers for $20! Even with a 50% discount, that wouldn't have been a deal. We didn't find anything to buy on our visit. The store was clean and well-maintained when we were there, but the selection is small and prices are high. It's OK for a quick visit if you're already nearby, but I don't know that I'd even say it's worth the detour off the highway to go find this place. read more

Pull up at 4:30pm to donate hundreds of dollars of boxes of clothes by their donation station. I can see a girl in there watching us unload and I figured she was probably just busy and would eventually come out. Proceeds to come back to the door with an older woman after we've completely unloaded who very aggressively tells us we can't leave stuff there or we will be charged a $700 fine for littering. I'm sorry? A $700 fine for donating? Then she says they aren't taking donations and threatens us with a fine. Instead of thanking us for donating and requesting we come back at a later time she threatens us. Never donating to a goodwill ever again. You're gonna attack the very people who are the only reason you're making money and have a job, no thanks. read more

DO NOT WORK HERE. Staff are rude, selective to who they want to help, and there's high theft activity here weekly. Most of the prices are okay, although a lot of them tend to be highly priced for a Goodwill. This place is poorly managed by who's in charge, they don't take Apple Pay, the bathroom is never open, and there's tons of cliques. If you want to work here for minimum wage, keep your head down, don't talk to any of the coworkers, walk in and walk out. read more

Whenever I come by to donate, their donation door is closed for the day. I try to get there by 10:30. Last year wasn't too bad and I was able to donate several boxes of clothes. read more

Decent selection. One-star is for the organization. PJ's hanging with shirts, aisles mislabeled, sizes all out of order, clothes not organized according to color. Shopping here is doable if you don't mind going through everything. read more

Never Shop here again. After being in the Retail industry, I bought a product that was new from Goodwill and never expected the product to fail in 15 days. I had thrown in the garbage the tag and receipt. When I was in the industry in a product that we knew came from our store we gave in exchange for that product. You know what you sell. Just attempted to donate two bags of washed clothing at the back donation area but as I was taking them out of my trunk an employee told me I had to pull behind the other car and wait. I suppose I'll just throw the clothes away since they clearly do not want free clothes here. Should not have to wait to make a donation. read more

Rive Road Goodwill is by far my favorite Goodwill!! All the employees are very friendly and always have a smile. Edward is an amazing manager and I know that they promote from within which I have personally seen! It is a little smaller then most of the other locations and sometimes there is not much of a selection it items to choose from but I then there are the days where I find that hidden treasure and walk out happy! I think their prices are pretty reasonable but I have also seen a few items marked up a little more then I want to pay but I always come back for more!! Friendly staff and store is always clean and they try there best to keep the riff raff out. read more
