As soon as you walk in the door and are greeted by someone's twisted explosion of creativity-- an old player piano turned into a planter/fountain with water flowing from the top to the keys to a kiddie pool below, you KNOW you've stepped into another dimension of kitch!! This place is sooooo well organized, with one side of the (huge, former supermarket) devoted to furniture, the middle a million and one kitchen things, a MASSIVE book, dvd/video and music section, and clothes that just go on forever!!! I felt 1% guilty, I suppose, for spending as much time as I did here today (one of the first BEAUTIFUL sunny days after a looong, cold winter) but this place is CRAZY good, and I left with some real treasures, a few more beautiful pre-spring hours of daylight left, and PROMISES to head back SOON!! I hadn't been in this store since before Covid until today, and it remains as nice as ever. Covid-wise: There's a big thing of sanitizer when you walk in, employees are wearing masks, there are social distancing tape marks at the check out, and the back to back check outs are divided by a plastic curtain. Several customers weren't wearing masks properly but nobody seemed to care. I witnessed some questionable customer service today. I know employees are sometimes there learning job skills, so I try to keep that in mind.

I've shopped this store for 18 years. Yesterday I was in with my daughter and granddaughter…read more There was a worker there that I'd seen before. She was older and wore here gray hair in a knot on top of her head. She had brought out a cart of goods to be shelved. I was clearly looking at it and twice she aggressively yanked it away from me. I thought it was rude, but didn't say anything. Later, she was cleaning out dressing rooms and was audibly cussing. She opened a door and said? " Son of a bitch" quite loudly. My daughter and granddaughter were standing right there. My daughter looked at her and said, "Excuse me? You are cussing loudly and my daughter is right here!" The conversation escalated after that. The "knot top" worker would not stop arguing and told my daughter several times to "get a life"! My daughter walked to the front counter and asked for a manager. Then this "manager" (who was not the head store manager) told her to "calm down" and sided with "top knot"! I couldn't believe what I heard! I've encountered this woman several times in that store and have heard her using profanity many times. I've watched her throwing items on the shelf. This has NO place in a retail or public setting. And for a manager to support said worker and argue with a customer is just plain wrong. I've donated and purchased thousands of dollars worth of merchandise over the years at this store. How dare they treat people like this? How dare they have an employee who cusses loud enough for customers and children to hear them? Any normal person would know how unacceptable this is!!

It's so nice to live in a community where people try to take good care of other people! They have a dressing room. The store smells clean. The clothes are clean. The people are nice. What more can I say? They also have some housewares and shoes, purses, belts, etc. They also carry some coats and some fancy dresses. I don't feel like I can waste any money here. Even if I don't end up loving something I purchased, I know my money supported a worthy cause, so I just re-donate the item and go back to shop another day. Most of the clothes available are for women, but they have mens and childrens' as well. Unlike some others thrift stores, you can actually get quite a bit here with "twenty dollars in my pocket".
