    Very old book for $2
    Hey It's M.

Accessories galore! Come here for homewares after dorm move outs in May for lot of great stuff. I've found art, bubble candles, and more! Don't underestimate the men's section: great pants.

Fancy displays but no product to peruse on the walls.

Nope. Nope. Nope. See my review of the Albany store. This one's employees slightly friendlier. I used to love this location but I won't be back here. Not worth hunting for the already difficult parking. Not much merchandise but there is a lot of turf and vinyl decorating the walls. (No vinyl for sale tho). And no kids stuff. Crazy since kids go through clothes fast and as a grandparent I'd rather spend a few bucks on something they're only gonna wear a short while or ruin after wearing once or twice.

    Vintage seeds do not appreciate.

The prices at this Goodwill have become ridiculous. Items are often priced higher than they were originally. Adding insult to injury, the fitting rooms seem to be permanently closed. I've walked out of this Goodwill empty handed several times now and won't be coming back.

The staff is always amazing and willing to help me look for something I need, spending an hour or two a week in here to search for the treasure is definitely worth it. I'm so thankful to the Bay Area community for making this store an accessible and lovely store.

Lots of housewares and clothes, a couple pieces of furniture (but don't go there for furniture). Employees are super nice.

The warm and modern decor is welcoming and a nice change from the vintage thrift store vibe. One side is men's and the other side is women's with racks of t-shirts and good quality sweatshirts blending in between. Lots of cool and quirky baseball caps line the top shelves with some vintage comic books and other vintage paraphanelia welcoming a good browse. Very nicely and carefully curated good quality pieces. What really sets Paisley apart as a thrift / vintage store is both the quality of their store and their selection of apparel. I feel like thrift and vintage stores can come off as dirty but Paisley is very well lit, incredibly clean, and neatly organized. Clothing and accessories are separated both by gender and by type of clothing. The selection is always changing too. We had a chance to briefly talk with one of the owners, and he told us that if you keep up with their Instagram, they're always restocking new items and showcasing it. For my Coachella fit, I ended up getting this really nice pair of North Face snow suspenders but there was also a pair of cargo pants that really caught my eye that I got as well. The staff are friendly and there are fitting rooms to try on the clothes.

We got there maybe 20 minutes before closing so I didn't get to explore the way I would like, but I really dug the book section. Hard covers are two dollars and soft covers are one dollar. They're arranged by color which I thought was very visually appealing. It was easier to look through the titles that way. I'll be going back soon to check out the store a bit more and I'll update my review accordingly. I'm totally happy with my book purchases.

The diverse offerings include bicycles and bike parts, furniture (sofas, tables, and more), lots of chairs, rugs, luggage, tools, electronics, speakers, musical instruments, CD's and records, remote controls, items that make you feel like you've gone back in time (like cassette tapes, vhs tapes, and floppy disks), books, toys, model trains, light fixtures, baskets, kitchenware/appliances, board games, crutches, building materials, doors, windows, bathtubs, toilets, garden sculptures, mirrors, cabinets and shelves, decorative items, artworks, plumbing hardware, door knobs, plastic cups and bottles, hats, shoes, and clothing. They even have scrap glass for mosaic or stained glass projects. We ended up purchasing some drum rings, as well as an awesome tote bag for just five bucks. The line at the front counter gets long at times, but it moves quickly with helpful workers making sure everything goes smoothly. You can even cut the line if you're paying with cash. No returns are allowed on items such as electronics and clothing. Dogs are welcome inside, with countless signs posted noting that it's not a poop and pee zone. There's also a sign near the toy section stating "unattended children will be given candy and a free puppy."

I went to the front and offered to take the CDs they were sending to the landfill. I stated I had boxes with me - the staff seemed amenable however when the manage Claudio was asked he overruled them and stated "no" - the CDs are now on the landfill - I have a machine to resurface discs, a press to flatten creased artwork and thousands of cases - however a company who's catch phrase is "zero waste" dumped" thousands of perfectly salvageable items. I contacted Urban Ore via email, via messaging and tagged them in social media as well as posting on their own FB page - no response. People donate items to Urban Ore thinking they think they are keeping them out of the landfill - the behavior of Claudio shows that this is a lie and Urban Ore appears to be a scam.

Although the young man helping to take my donations was friendly and polite, after I specifically pointed out a breakable item, he proceeded to THROW it into a bin and I literally heard a crash as if it had shattered. I really couldn't find the words and so didn't say anything, but really?? Why would I drive all the way down here for you to literally trash my belongings, when I could have thrown them in the trash at home myself with a lot less hassle? How management is allowing this when all Goodwill seems to care about is making money anyway is beyond me. Speaking of which, I don't know how they survive with their inflated prices and run-down, dingy store. Half the shelves in the back were empty (which is bizarre considering I KNOW they are getting a ton of donations - I saw the bins!) and the rest was filled with dirty-looking junk. There might have been some decent clothes, but a lot are overpriced and there's nowhere to try them on anyway (couldn't even find a mirror). Being in there just makes me feel sad. Next time I will literally throw things in the trash before donating here. So done with Goodwill in general. In fact I'd rather call it Ill Will, because that is what it makes me feel.
