I'd missed the once-an-hour bus that goes right by Savers. I took the bus that goes the long way around and got off across the development and a park. When i arrived at Savers, the clerks said only items they can resell. After I explained that I'd called and been told "everything" and that i didn't drive, the clerks let me leave my unusable recycling. I have no idea if they just trashed it. Very disappointing. ​

I first shopped at Savers when I lived in Phoenix, AZ, and I've been a huge fan for over 10 years. Everything is donation-based (obviously), so what's available will always vary. PROS: Super clean and very well organized!! Great home goods and shoe options. The few items that caught my eye were very well priced, and overall it felt easy and enjoyable to shop here. CON: The selection was a bit lacking, and I didn't find anything particularly exciting or unique. Lots of very basic pieces, though they did have a large variety of jeans. It gets hot and there are no fitting rooms, so you have to wear something light to both keep cool and be able to try on clothes. There's also a no return policy which is kinda upsetting since there's no fitting rooms to try on the clothes. The space in between the racks is good, so two people can pass by without bumping into each other.

I fell into this intriguing Antique store on the main st. of Park Ave. It has 2 levels of pretty much anything ranging from Furniture, clothes, knick knacks and various things which are anything that constitutes as " antiques". I had bought a Hockey Jersey which has the infamous Friday the 13th villain but definitely in mint condition never worn. Sports memorabilia and Throwback jerseys and hats. The cashier was super friendly and helpful. It has something for everyone and also has reasonable prices.

However, the parking situation can be quite tedious when arriving after 10am. The entrance fee varies based on the time you come in, with the most expensive being when they open at 6am ($20). My family and I got there around 11am and it was a $10 entrance fee. They do allow re-entries so long as you get a handstamp before exiting. Today was my first time visiting and I was taken aback by how pricey a lot of items were - especially the clothing. Many were priced higher than new items. The food vendors present were underwhelming. We had Donna's Tamales and it was quite bland and overpriced. They charged me $18 for 2 corn chili tamales. My husband and I had hoped to find some items for our new spot, but left empty handed. Not sure I will be back for how marked up the items were.
