REI is located in the Fairfax Govt Ctr shopping area. Staff is friendly but very picky about returns. It was obvious my products were new in original boxes with tags still on the products but this staff member inspected it with detail. I get it but her demeanor with me was not as friendly as the customer in front of me who made a purchase. Oh well, employee owned so I guess more picky.

I discovered today that they even have a monthly free bike clinic, where their bike mechanics will completely inspect your bike for safety and wear and tear issues. If I was really into snowboarding this is the store I would come to ship. It's like a snowboarder's paradise here. The store is also open 7 days a week, and there were a handful of associates ready to assist me when I showed up. For years, my family, friends, and I have been fiercely loyal to Dick's Sporting Goods. Whenever it came to sports items or fishing gear, I never even bothered checking other websites or competitors; I always went straight to Dick's and proudly recommended them to everyone. That loyalty ends today. Last night, I went to return a pair of shoes. Yes, it was past the 90-day window, but the shoes were completely unworn with the tags still attached. Any reputable store would, at the very least, offer store credit as a gesture of goodwill. Instead, Dick's policy is to buy it back at the lowest possible selling price, which feels like a complete rip-off and a scam to steal customers' money. To make matters worse, the store manager's behavior was incredibly rude, dismissive, and utterly unprofessional. Shocked by this treatment, I called their Customer Service line, expecting them to de-escalate the situation or at least apologize for the manager's misbehavior. Instead, the representative was completely useless. They didn't even care to ask which specific store location this happened at, offered zero help, and didn't even bother to apologize. This is, hands down, the absolute worst customer service experience I have ever had in my entire life in the United States. The silver lining? I also bought two pairs of shoes directly from the brand "On" last night. Due to this awful experience, I am returning the shoes I bought at Dick's, and I contacted "On's" customer service instead. "On" handled my situation beautifully, professionally, and resolved my issue with ease. My advice to everyone: If you want to buy sports gear, go directly to the brand's own website or store. Dick's doesn't give you any special discounts, their return policy for unworn items is a joke, and they treat loyal customers like garbage. We had great online communication and the great communication continued when we were at the location. No pressure in the sales and he gave us a lot of good info. We took care of most of the paperwork online. Still spent a few hours at pickup :( Right now I think they did very well - which could go up or down. It seems we got the wrong keys. The remotes work but a day later when I tried the actual key it wasn't even close to working, so I think we have some mixed keys floating around. I know I should have checked at the dealer, but I haven't used an actual key in a vehicle for a bit. I am in the process of scheduling the protective coat process, so we will see how that goes. And I need to return a few things since the adapter and surge strip don't fit our Scope. Got a bit of bad advice in the store I guess. No biggy. Drove 2 hours, sat waiting for 4 hours and then a 2 hour drive home along with over $100 in gas. Did everything that was asked for in the email for them to look at the RV only for them to tell me they already have 2 rvs same manufacture as mine and they are not buying. After sitting there for 4 hours, zero communication, nothing and then we are not interested in buying. Poor communication, lied on the phone and email and really poor business practices. One of the worst most wasted experiences I have had the displeasure of ever being put through. I will never visit another camping world ever, search facebook to find out more info on the company.

The clothes inside equally amazing and surprisingly affordable. Lots of famous brands and really high quality clothing in a variety of sizes. They don't have fitting rooms which I was at first not happy about, but as it turns out everyone just changes in front of the mirrors in a back corner. It was the most fun communal shopping experience I've ever had, getting feedback on everything I tried on. This is my go-to shop for dance clothes and work clothes from here on out.
