Everything seemed to be great, until it came time to sell our house. Fast forward to today - we tried asking them to fix this issue, they came back and said the issue wasn't under their permit, it was under our contractor's permit. So they are off Scott free on an technicality. Sorry, but YOU are the ones that installed and moved the smoke detector, NOT the contractor and now it's going to take a small fortune to fix their screw up (WHILE THEY GET OFF SCOTT FREE) to bring my house up to code. The second they agreed to do that they should made sure the job was up to code - even if it was "under their permit." Avoid at all costs.

He assessed the situation and was able to re-wire and install the ceiling fan which included a quick trip to the appliance store to provide a needed wall plate for that new fan. After that, he helped us reassemble and position bed that originally needed to be moved to get at the ceiling fan. Well, it has been one week since Jared has installed ceiling fan and the fan is working great!

I may have had a bad experience, however, here are the reasons why I personally will never do…read morebusiness with this company again: 1. Website contact form sends data....somewhere. If you want to inquire about booking for your job, you need to call them. They won't get the contact request from their website. 2. Rarely at the phone. In order to leave a message you need to listen to their message, then press a prompt, then listen to another message before you record your message. Who has time for that? 3. No free estimates. OK, but also no pre-work assessment of time and labor. 4. No upfront disclosure of hourly rate and billing practices. FYI, as of writing, $85 per hour, starting 15 minutes BEFORE the worker even parks in your driveway to 15 minutes after the work leaves your driveway. If the worker talks on the phone or picks his nose for 20 minutes, in your driveway - that's time that's billable to you. Worker worked (kind of) for 35 minutes. I was charged 1.5 hours plus tax. 5. Did not show up on time. I was told to expect someone after 8am. I didn't realize they meant any time during that day after 8am. I called at 10am - are you coming? 'oh, i thought you were home all day.' Worker finally showed at noon. 6. I question the ability of an electrician that doesn't turn the power off prior to completing electrical work. 7. No protective anything under equipment to protect your stuff. (File this one under picky as some do, some don't.) 8. Did not have the parts to do the job. Left with items still not repaired. Scope of work not completed. I later went out, purchased the parts from Home Depot, turned the power off, and completed the repairs myself. 9. Invoice does not detail the time for the job, the 'trip charge' of 30 minutes, or accurately describe the work. You'll also need to waste a stamp/envelope (more cost) to pay them as they will snail mail you an invoice with the notation 'net/10' (good thing I took accounting, huh?) and you are to mail them back full payment via check. So there you have it, why I'm amazed they are still in business (and for so long!) and why I will never do business with them again. They're not the only game in town and others are more upfront about their business practices and actually complete the scope of work! Wish I had read a review like this before I called/contacted them but, hey, lesson learned. :)

I HIGHLY recommend this company!! Everything from start to finish was perfect…read more We called another electrician, left a message but never got a call back (which, from what I understand is normal). We found KB Electric online and decided to give them a try. The phone was answered immediately by Alicia who was so helpful, listened to what we needed done and set up an appointment for us immediately, which we were so grateful for. The electric wire going into the house was hanging very low and we realized the attachment on the house (for lack of a better explanation) was hanging off the house. Alicia asked us to send photos and I did with a comment" didn't realize how bad it was". Her response was "I've seen worse" so right off the bat she made me feel better. She asked if we wanted her to send someone to give us a quote, but we didn't want to waste time on that so said no. She quoted us how much it would be per hour (+ materials) and we were very happy with the final price (we felt very reasonable). The 2 electricians were here at 8:30 on a day when it was below 20 degrees!! They did a great job and were in/out in a little over an hour. So happy to know that if we need electrical work done in the future, we have a place to call!!

We even noticed after he left that an outlet on our island that had never really worked magically worked! I would recommend KB and ask for Hector by name!

This company is truly a hidden gem and here's why:…read more From the very beginning, they provided a straightforward, no-fluff cost estimate. No back and forth, no surprises -- just honest pricing compared to other competitors. They show up exactly when they say they will and follow up with a phone call if anything changes. Their performance is precise, professional, and highly efficient. They work within a timeframe that fits the customer's schedule -- and they are on time, every time. If additional work is needed due to a customer oversight, they adjust pricing fairly and cost-effectively. They are friendly, warm, and show a genuine interest in your project. They provide real value-added recommendations that are practical and realistic. I solicited estimates from five other electricians, and they clearly stood out -- not only in cost, but in overall performance. Their estimate was well within my budget. If there were a rating higher than 10, I would give it. The job felt truly complete when my wife personally thanked the electrician, that says everything. The project was involved with wiring for a two-story building, attic crawl space, wiring outside the building, Electrical panel upgrade and basement outlets for hot water on demand system. This was not an easy task, but they truly handled it efficiently. A true winner. Highly recommended.

The person that came to my house was honest, neat, reasonable and very nice. I recommend!read more
