Back in the day, I stopped by there looking for ideas and inspirations for presents for friends who were getting married at the time and doing some research for others who were hesitant to come to a place like this. And were going to order online or by phone their selections after checking out the dirty work I did for them. Berkeley's Good Vibrations's windows were covered up in white with their subtle logo. Yep, I knew I was in the right place. I walked in. It was quite clean and organized, I got a boutique vibe surveying the place. There were others who seemed to be doing research on getting hen party/bridal shower gifts too and for other reasons. The associates were very professional in dispersing information about GV's products, and at times clinical in how to use the goods. Some of the products I saw, some of them could pass for works of art, especially some of the glass items I saw. I came away with a lot of TMI to share with my fellow hens. All I know was (at the time) there were going to be some very happy brides and bridegrooms on the wedding night. Heck, for all I know they may have been rehearsing and getting in a lot of practice. The husbands-to-be were going to be very, very happy, I was quite certain of that for sure. I know of a couple of film professors at my university who would have a field day here since their specialty is sex and the body in cinema. Oh, Berkeley: the bulk of your population impassioned only by the well-placed bumpersticker on the back of the Subaru Legacy. Berkeley is such an unsexy city you almost forget it has its own GV and you might find yourself in the San Francisco location more often. But when I do "Remember the San Pablo" I head here for all of my supplies. Clean, well-lit space with well-arranged merchandise and a welcoming but not leering staff who don't skip a beat dispensing advice, whether about best goo for hand jobs or care of anal fissures. A friend and I was looking for lube and went to Secrets. Bad move!!! Of course we Yelped Good Vibrations and went straight there. This place was super clean, great lighting and didn't make you feel like a perv for going in. It was even crowded. They had soooo many things to look at and try that I thought we were in a mall.
