I visited on a random Saturday and had myself a pleasant, if not spectacular afternoon. The initial entry area of the store makes a very good first impression. The main room is clean, well-lit, and they appear to have a wide variety of toys, videos, lubricants, etc. -- everything and anything you might need to enhance your sex life. And the woman who was working there that day was pleasant and polite. There is another area of the store, however, which has a handful of individual booths playing porn, as well as a larger main room with a few chairs scattered about, also showing porn. It costs $10 to enter this area. This area is not nearly as clean. It is very dark and cramped. The flooring is mostly unfinished concrete. There are signs reminding patrons to use the bathroom and not to urinate or defecate in the booths. While the few patrons that were there all seemed relatively civil, I imagine they must get a handful of folks who cause issues. I cannot imagine a woman or a couple being comfortable in this section of the store. While I did have some fun and got more intimately acquainted with a patron or two, I imagine the only time I would return would be to buy a sex toy. read more

Oh my gawd, has this place gone downhill. It used to be a fun place to play, but they're clearly going through some desperate times. The arcade has been $10 for an all day pass for some years now (even before COVID). But now they charge you $10 for ONE HOUR, but give you the option of paying $15 for all day. Insane. Plus, they keep the air conditioning on back there FULL BLAST, even in the Winter, to freeze you out and/or make it miserable so you'll leave sooner. Unless you're dressed for the Arctic, you won't even last the hour. To make matters worse, they've installed a strip of really bright LED lights along the inner wall near the video booths. I love the way one thing leads to another in life, and you just really never know when you start an adventure just how or where you will end up. For example, who knew that when I met Jason C., Debbie L. and Rachel H. at Fondas for happy hour, we would take a mini-sex trek across town to disprove or confirm a rumor Debbie heard about Secrets Adult Store. After opening the doors of about three booths, I decided "Oooh. Look at that! He's hot!" So I inserted a coupon and took a little break to watch something in a dark, tiny room for five dollars that I can watch for free, online, in my comfortable bed. Shiny! I was jarred out of my stupor when Jason C. said, "I found it! It's over here." Sure enough, there it was: the legendary length lover was a legend no longer; it was a fact. I stuck my finger in it and Jason C. went to the booth on the other side and snapped a photo. (I stuck my tongue in it too, but I think it creeped Jason out.) Relax, Indie! Unfortunately for them, they were only able to see the photos of our quest, lest they too pay five dollars each. It gets four stars cuz it was the most entertaining five dollars I've ever spent. The little booths smelled like pine-sol instead of love and sweat, so that's worth something too. The man was mean and didn't realize the significance of our sociological archeology, so minus one star. Last night I went out with my new Yelp buddies: the lovely John R., the supple Debbie L, and crazy ass Jason C. We had drinks and dessert at Fonda. As a porn DVD collector I have to say that the main reason I love this store is because they sell you brand new DVDs in their original wrapping. You might think that's not such a big thing, because that's the way most regular DVD's are sold, but when it comes to porn DVD's you'll find out that most adult stores open the packaging and rent out their discs so when you go to buy it you find scratches or lube fingerprints.
