A few friends and I stopped in for some kava and shared a couple of kombuchas too--they've got plenty of options on tap. If you're looking for a relaxed spot to catch up with friends or maybe meet some new people, definitely check out Karuna Kava.

We came for Plant Bingo hosted by Florra Collective at $30 per card. I tied for Bingo with another gal, but the tie-breaker was rock-paper-scissors and only one of us got a prize. We BOTH got Bingo--even a sticker would've been nice! My card was also taken because I was told it was an "old card," which was a little disappointing. Aside from the Bingo hiccups, we had a great time! Mother Earth's service was awesome, they offer beer, wine AND kombucha, and we enjoyed some yummy smoked BBQ from the Papa Bears food truck outside. Bonus: Sundays you can bring your fur baby and get $1 off your beverage order. Now THAT I like!!

Husband's favorite pours were Project X renaissance and Nitro milk truck stout. I had the kombucha which was refreshing and tasted the Cali Peaches & Cream - which had nice flavor with terrific peach aroma. No food trucks this early in the day (weekday, noon) which was a bummer, but understandable!

Note they had a $3 pint special, so be on the lookout for that, as the price can't be beat. Other pints were $6-7 as of Aug 2026.

We thought they had a rec room and that it was really kid friendly, so we were pretty disappointed to see that it was all gone. But, they still have a nice space and it was good enough to keep our toddler entertained with playing cards and popcorn. Being such a hot day, I had to start with the Radler. The grapefruit has such a nice flavor to it and it was perfect to cool down before diving into their other beer. We also ordered the Dandelion Ale, this was pretty interesting to try. I have to say it was unique and I can see why some people would not enjoy it. I however really liked the golden ale with a nice bite, it reminded me a lot of a dandelion or nettle tea. We also tried a hazy, it was pretty good, but nothing too special. Overall a pretty good brewery but I wish they still had their rec room to enjoy.

The beer that Steve and I had was the IPA known as City of Trees which was pretty good. The flavor highlights that we detected with this IPA were hoppy, piney and bitter. It was a very smooth and light bodied IPA so that was nice to have for sure. Some IPA'S are just a tad overwhelming in body but this one wasn't at all and brought in a pleasant refreshing aspect to it which we both liked due to it's body. Very nice IPA to enjoy!

As you can see from my other reviews, I frequent majority of the breweries in the area and this place is a KNOCKOUT. I love a good cider, but they can also leave me with a nasty hangover. Drinking this, I woke up feeling great, no bloat or anything. I'm already a big NA kombucha lover, so I knew I would enjoy this. My husband were there last Saturday and tried almost every flavor; his favorite was the huck sage and mine was the spiced apple. I will without a doubt become a regular here! A minor caveat that folks may want to be aware of (though it won't deter us)- it is VERY kid friendly. They have an entire area of toys in the corner and a good amount of events tailored towards kids. It did get a little loud while we were there, but was still a beautiful establishment.

It is definitely worth the drive and the visit. Seating is varied but favors small groups, and does not really accommodate the digital nomad. They offer the usual coffee selections with a few specialty drinks. I had the Butter Latte. Wow! It is basically a toned down bulletproof coffee but with lots of flavor. Service is friendly and personable. Our group was greeted at the door and the staff were happy to offer recommendations. I will be going back the next time I am in Boise.

Let me start my saying that is such a beautiful shop- they have indoor and outdoor seating, and everything is comfy/cozy, and welcoming. The staff is what really made the experience amazing though. It was our first time and they were so patient and gave local favorites, and I will openly say the coffee was strong, so if you like sweeter coffee, definitely ask for only 1 shot of espresso or extra syrup. My son got a mocha and it was a little strong for his liking, so they offered to remake it. Which was so sweet of them. They were truly concerned and wanted to make sure we enjoyed everything. The banana bread and raspberry scone were delicious too. Everything was fresh, the coffee was delicious, and I would go back just for the incredible service and space. If you're near the area definitely go check them out. Such a sweet find and can't wait to go back.
