(Also pointing out the owners used to be really close friends) 100% do not give these people your money. I have the receipts and photo proof from the past two years. OH BOY ALMIGHTY. I am not a person to write reviews but this one deserves A LOT. I've been a regular at Dusty Rose Reserve for quite some time, which is why this experience was especially disappointing. I came in as I normally do and was immediately subjected to crude and inappropriate comments from a patron who was making repeated remarks about my appearance. He called me a "four eyes" and a "fucking ginger" because I wear glasses and have red hair. I initially brushed it off and went to sit back down because I wasn't there looking for a confrontation. Later, I went back to the bar simply to ask for some salt for my food. The same man looked at me and said, "They're out of salt, just like you're out of shorts." That comment was heard by multiple regulars and new patrons, and I want to give credit where it's due: several people immediately stood up for me and made it very clear that his behavior was unacceptable. I genuinely appreciated the people who spoke up. Then we found out this wasn't just some random patron. Apparently, this man was the newly hired manager. The bartender working that night was on only his THIRD DAY. When he attempted to address the situation and remove the manager, the manager threatened him by saying, "Remember who writes your schedule. Are you sure you want to do this?" Think about that for a second. A brand-new employee was being threatened with his job by the manager because he tried to stand up for a customer who was being sexually inappropriate and verbally harassed. The owner also threatened to ban us from the establishment for calling out HIS BARTENDER'S behavior. At that point, my friend contacted the owner because we have a longstanding relationship with the owners. Unfortunately, that conversation did not go well. The owner became angry and hung up on my friend. I then called myself because I wanted to speak with Rosie directly, hoping that another woman might better understand why I was upset and uncomfortable with what had happened. Instead, I was told that the manager had already been fired and that it was "not fair" that my friend had supposedly called to yell at his wife. For the record, my friend is one of the most genuinely kind and non-confrontational people I know. He was frustrated, yes, but he is not someone who goes around screaming at people. I repeatedly asked to speak with Rosie directly and was refused. Eventually, I ended the call with, "Thank you for firing the guy, but no thanks on this yelling," and hung up. I'm glad the manager was ultimately fired. However, the fact that it took customers standing up for me, a brand-new bartender putting his job on the line, and multiple phone calls before anything was done is extremely concerning. I've spent a lot of time at Dusty Rose Reserve and have supported this establishment as a regular. I genuinely hope the owners take this situation seriously... not just because of what happened to me, but because of how a newly hired employee was treated when he attempted to do the right thing. No woman should have to walk into a bar and be subjected to comments about her body or clothing, and no employee should be threatened with their schedule for trying to protect a customer. I appreciate the patrons who stood up for me, and I sincerely hope the bartender who was put in that position knows that he did the right thing. I walked in, not sure what to get. The bartender asked me what flavors I like. She went away and made me this epic cocktail. She told me all the things she added, and it was clear, these bartenders are the real deal. They know their stuff. I drank my delightful cocktail way too fast. But it was so damn good. The vibe is fun. They bartenders interact with everyone and do all kinds of cool things with cool ingredients and tell you about it all. Perfect spot for a loungey date night, or a meet up with a friend. There is no food. But plenty of spots on 8th in walking distance. This is probably one of the best cocktail bars I've ever been to. ... and I've been to a lot. :)

The inside is dark and decorations are interesting. There is a variety of seating such as high tops, comfortable conversation chairs & tables as well as a booth. It has window seating available as well. We were actually the only people inside the lounge except one person at the bar. I soon realized why everyone was sitting outside after we took a seat and ordered cocktails. The music was so loud we could barely hold a conversation. Regardless, our server Nick was great. He was very attentive and constantly checked in with us for drinks. We ordered a Party Girl Mule, the Chili Gringo Mule and a dirty martini. All were delicious. I prefer my martinis colder and a glass filled to the rim. I felt the martini was lacking volume for the price of the martini. The Mode Lounge patio is located right on the walkway so it looked like a great spot for people watching. We didn't hang out too long as we had a difficult time talking with the loud music but we did like the drinks and our server, Nick. We will stop by again but look for outside seating.
