I do alot of traveling and this is some of the best asian food in the US!! Everything i order is high quality and cooked delicious

my boyfriend grew up eating here and they all love it but personally i have never enjoyed my meals from here. They don't have any sushi so I normally just go with chicken and broccoli w rice and my rice is always super sticky or dry. The chicken taste good but I feel extremely sick after eating it every time. I wish I could say something better but every time I go I have this experience. I would give them a 4 1/2 if I could, but since I can't I'm not going to penalize them by giving them a 4 :) Really good food. Only reason I couldn't wholeheartedly give them a 5* review is that about 8 years ago their fried rice used to be the absolute BEST, and this is from someone who usually avoids fried rice. It had lots of veggies and onions, a bit of char, and was just amazing. That chef must have left as I haven't had it as good since. They used to have a sign on the wall bestowed by one of the Girl Scout Troops "Best Fried Rice in Sussex County" if I remember right...and it was....in even more than just Sussex County...tear drips down cheek... the rest of the food - awesome and I haven't noticed a difference, but that fried rice was just - chef's kiss! read more

I have been here a few times and will just say as long as you don't plan on having a long conversation with the cashier and know what you want you will enjoy the food. So first time trying this place and it's only 9 minutes from my house but it's kind of hidden in a strip mall on rt 23. Anyways, good hot and sour soup and probably the best Singapore Mei Fun I've ever had and I had it lots of times at lots of different spots. Can't wait to try some of their other dishes but I'm really enjoying what I just got from them. Definitely recommend you give them a try if you haven't yet. read more

I have been here a few times. It is great because its in a few miles of my house. (In Sussex county 10 miles is around re conner) How ever the food is horrible. It lacks taste and seasoning. I orders spare ribs, there was about 4 spare ribs and the rest they used rice as a filler. I was very dissatisfied as it is one of the more expensive dishes (for a fast food place) Another time I ordered off their healthy food section. It was steamed vegetables and bean curd. The bean curd tasted as if it was sitting around for a week. The vegetables taste freezer burnt. And no seasoning at all on the vegetables. I will never go here again. I am giving 5 stars because of the food. This place has the best Chinese food in Sussex county, I never go anywhere else it! My favorite is sesame chicken, they make it the best I've had! Also the lo-mein is not greasy at all, which I've never seen! There aren't many tables so I don't recommend coming here if you're looking for the dine in experience. Also don't expect smiles and happy faces from the staff, they make it seem like serving you is the last thing they'd rather be doing. Other than that, the food is great! I think the food at Good Taste is the best in the area. They make hands down the best Singapore Mei Fun I have found in a 50 mile radius (though admittedly i'm only comparing it to 5 other places, so it was not an exhaustive search...). Its well seasoned and has a large variety of stuff in it, not just shrimp. The other standards are good too (boneless ribs, cold sesame noodles, crab rangoon, sesame chicken, etc.) Good Taste used to have a Soup Nazi-esque quality because the ladies who ran the counter were loud and bossy to the point of being rude. Recently a polite young lady has been taking orders at the counter instead. I'm not sure if this is a pro or con, just saying. I don't recommend eating in. They have a few tables, but you will quickly be able to tell that they are more for waiting for your food rather than actually eating it there. read more

Best around town! Definitely our "go to" for Chinese. Great food and great prices. Always ready quickly and few errors when making special requests. Only drawback is location, while there is plenty of parking, it seems to take forever to get out of the parking lot when traffic is backed up by the 23/94 light. read more

Cheap and fast. The people who work there know me by now because I go to them so often. The quality of food is good. You don't get grizzle if you order the General Tsao. The boneless ribs are great, they broil them to be crispy. Wontons are great and so is there Mei Fun. Friendly service from people who do not speak English as a first language. read more

This is the only place I will order my Chinese food in Sussex county area . Food is always outstanding. Place is always clean . It's a little hard to communicate but since I have been coming here for 6 years we seem to understand each other much better . Come with patience but leave with excellent Chinese food . Standard Chinese food. Good quality, decent price, ultra fast service. Best of all, it's super close to where I live.

It's hard to determine what is worse the food or the service. I eaten here 3 or 4 times and each time it gets worse. The food is a greasy mess. I order a vegetarian meal with tofu and it included pork fried rice. Really? Every time I enter the place I have never received a greeting or smile. The lady is always on the phone distracted. This place is one of the best Chinese restaurants I've found. I got my old standby, orange chicken. It was delicious, and the chicken was nice and crispy. We stopped by on the way home from Lakota Wolf Preserve. It was the perfect end to a beautiful day. We'll definitely be coming back! I'd come more often if I lived closer. We order from here about once a month. As someone else stated, the staff is not very friendly but the food is very good. Most recently, our orders are getting screwed up a bit (mei fun instead of chow fun - every single time). This seems to be the newer (American) staff just not paying attention or simply picking the first option on the POS system. The dumplings, soups, wonton's, Singapore Chow Fun (if we can get it), General Tsao's Chicken and pretty much everything else are really, really good. Live over an hour away from Good Taste but was in area helping out family, so I decided to try it based on other two reviews. Glad I did. Food was good and yes staff did seem not too friendly. They did however have a good stream of people in and out picking up on a Friday night. I got the sesame chicken combo with roast pork lo mein instead of fried rice because of the good recommendation it got. Both were the best I ever had. However I most likely will not be back because I feel if the friendly service isn't there, you don't deserve my business. read more

If you can get over the lady at the counter who has her ups and downs, then you'll just love the food. I have tried many things on their menu and all have been tasty and well prepared. Its gets a 5 star rating from me based on their food. I've never eaten inside, its always take out and frankly the place is quite small inside with people waiting for their take out orders by sitting at the tables. The food is always ready when they say it is and I'm in and out in a flash. Too bad they don't deliver as they would probably double their business.
