Really wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt but unfortunately I was left disappointed. I paid for builder gel and the day of a nail chipped followed by three nails the next day. I ended up going somewhere else to remove but the nail tech discovered what they used was not builder gel and now my nails are weak and brittle after growing them out for months.
Cathy and Alan are superstars and run Good Nails with expertise, warmth and integrity! They are so welcoming, kind and great at their jobs! Cathy is always welcoming and lead organization of the appointments and team. Alan loves the jokes and getting to know customers. I now have my go to's which is Alan for my manicures and Rose for my pedicures, which is very reassuring each visit. Rose always does a solid job on her work and is very sweet as well! Every staff member gives a smile and warm greeting which I appreciate as well (:
I went in for the first time there to get a gel pedicure and full set acrylic gel. I was instantly greeted and treated amazing by the staff, they are so friendly and welcoming. Not only is the nail shop spacious but it is very clean. I had my toes done by Rose and hands done by Daniel. I am obsessed with my nails they did a great job at shaping and painting them. They took such attention to detail it is impressive. I showed them the inspo pic and they delivered. The prices are within the normal price ranges for a full set and pedicure in the area. I will definitely be going back.
Best nail spot in town, staff is always welcoming and sweet. They never miss with my requests and best service. Alan never fails to make me laugh. Highly recommend!
They live to their name- good nails! I would add pretty and perfect as that's how our nails came out. We tried Good Nails for the first time and after this first experience , it's now my favorite! They also provide nails service for young customers, my daughters had their first nail salon experience. This place also gets best rating as very clean equipment and salon. The service also speaks for itself- kind and professional
Got lucky and came in and met Kathy who did my pedi and Alan who did my nails. They were able To work at the same time. The salon was pretty empty but very clean. Kathy and Alan worked quickly and did a great job. I especially wanna shout out Alan he didn't file my skin while using the nail file I told him I needed him to be really gentle because my skin is very sensitive to that and he was very gentle and did an excellent job! I love my nails! Kathy did a great job on my pedi too! I will definitely be back and asking for them only!
One of the best manicures I've had in the Bay Area. The nails look natural, clean, and stay beautiful until the refill time. The cuticles stop growing. The nail shape is natural with the curve.
The service was great, they offer coffee, tea or water while you're getting your pedicure. Even though it starts to get busy they don't rush their work on you at all. Daniel did my pedicure and he was really nice, it was my first time getting a pedicure and I didn't know what to expect but it was great. I didn't get the name of the person that did my nails but they did a great job and did exactly what I asked for!!
I love my neighborhood nail salon! Everyone who works there is super friendly and accommodating and they do an excellent job on my nails, of course. My gel x manicure lasts a long time between fills and I especially like to see Andy -- he is a perfectionist in the best way! It's a good idea to call ahead for an appointment even if same day.

I've been coming here for approximately 10 months and I only see Fiona for my nails. She's so spectacular! Her and Andrew really care about their customers and Fiona is quick but excellent at what she does. It's gotten to the point where I'll pick a base color and Fiona will do as she pleases. This may not be for everyone but I have complete trust in her for giving me something she knows I will absolutely LOVE. Anna used to do my pedicures until she moved to Santa Rosa. Tee does my pedicures and she's really sweet and gentle. I always get compliments on my nails and always refer them here. I love the impeccable job that they do. Gonna is seriously the best. I can't say enough about her work. Every other salon I got my nails done at, the dip powder would always chip within a week. She does a phenomenal job. I won't go anywhere else. read more

Ok I went here because of all the reviews. I'm giving it 3 stars because we got 3 pedicures 1 each,our son, dad and I. Lady that did son & dad did a really good job. But for me I feel like I got the short end of the stick. The older gentleman that did mine rushed and did things so out of order. Was not pleased at all. I had to ask him to clean my toes better, Burt the bottom of my pinky toe with the hot wax that he forgot to do and ended up doing It as the last thing he did. Paint job was so bad didn't get down to the base of nails layered the gel nail polish got it all on my skin just a bad job. read more

Its been a good week. Almost all the places I've been to this last few fays have been amazing. This place included. So I called earlier knowing I would be in the area, and not wanting to hear a "we are sorry we can't take you its too late". I asked if they would be available around 715. The guy simply said see you then . So I had a hard time finding it. (FYI its eight accros the street from CVS ) From the moment I walked in I knew I'd be I'm good hands. They are beyond friendly and hospitable. I choose my color and then sat down. The lady (Ann for short. She had a long name and I'm not sure how to spell it) was super nice and friendly. I love how much attention to detail they have. The owner asked me if I wanted manicure too. I said sure ( might as well right ?) I had never ever ever been so relaxed while getting a Mani pedi. I almost fell asleep. All there movements where effortless and they handled me like if I was a porcelain doll. I think I finally found THE PLACE I will get my nails done. I had had favorites and places I thought had either one thing or the other. Yet I hadn't found the place that had it all ( great service. The little liners in the tubs. Attention to detail and fast service.) Oh and they are so reasonably priced. I spent $15 bucks less than I normally do including tip. I was the last customer of the day ( felt kind of bad that I was holding everyone back from leaving) yet Ann was so sweet she even gave me a hug. I don't know but there is something about this place that made it extra special. I will make the 20-30 min drive from now on. Let's keep fingers crossed that it stays this good read more

Tried this place for the first time. Needed a pedi to fix my toenails growing out crooked because previously it was cut crooked. Trying to get the person to cut it straight was difficult. She just kept making it shorter and shorter but never cutting it straight! I literally just told her to stop and was ready to walk out when the owner took over and did what she could to fix it...now I usually don't get a mani because my nails are naturally thick and healthy. Decided to just get them shaped and a clear coat. Just took the clear polish off after a week and my natural nails look like they were buffed too much. There's such a big dent in my fingernails! It looks so bad! My natural nails have never looked like this before! Back to finding somewhere new. read more

Recently moved to Glen cove, I came to Good nails last night for the first time. Absolutely loved my experience. Got a spa Mani pedi. Gel on my toes and dip for my Mani. It came to $100 even - I did go for the $50 spa pedicure and dip is $50. There are other options on the pricing but my hands and feet needed the work done. I hadn't been to a nail salon since August 2021- let me tell you this was money well spent. My feet were as smooth as a baby's bottom! The entire staff was warm and welcoming. I called in advance to see if they were busy. They were able to take me in right away. Good nails has it together, it's clean & professional. Everyone wore their masks. Tina worked on my gel pedicure and for the life of me I can't remember the gal who worked on my Mani. Fiona is absolutely adorable, she has a daughter who took joy in dropping in the mini bath bomb for my pedicure. This is a family run business and they treat their clients as such. I sat there for a good hour and change while being worked on and change and watched clients leave, all of them, yes all of them were asking about the family and engaging in small talk. This is the joy of small businesses, Good Nails I think is my new spot! read more

This was my worst nail experience ever. I had a 9:30 appointment for nail take off and then a fresh new set put on (simple black tips). No one shows up to open the shop until 9:45. Staff is cold to me. I sit down to take off my nails and she wants me to keep my nails soaking for 30 minutes. What? It's never taken more than 15 minutes to take my nails off but okay. She immediately helps another customer and proceeds to do a full pedicure, which takes a really long time. I am sitting there just waiting. At 1030 I resolve myself to just getting the process of my nail taken off. 1045 comes and another worker comes in and tries to tell me someone will help me shortly and he is going to help someone else. I let them know I am very upset and that this wait was ridiculous. His customer tells him to help me (thank you, lady). He helps but is having trouble taking them off. Another woman comes and tells me she will do my nails and I tell her absolutely not. It is 11 at this point and I am trying to keep my cool because I am very upset. Pictured is how I left with my nails "taken off". They did not make me pay but this ruined my whole day. read more

Look at this beautiful set! I asked for a almond shaped design with chrome and it came out looking natural just like how I wanted. This was done by Fiona and she's amazing with her technique, the salon overall is nice and clean. I recommend coming since they also have different pedicure types. read more

I had 10 separately different nails after a 24 mi ute new set! Fiona rushed through to take care of walk in customers. This iwas the absolute worse full set ever. Different lengths and different shapes. Totally mismatched set. read more

My boyfriend and I came after a very long SIP, my toes and his needed some help. After making an appointment with Great Nails on springs rd, in Vallejo- at 5:30pm and waiting until about 6:00- I looked up a near by nail salon and this place was great! I loved it here I called before hand to make sure they could take us right away and they did! My nails never looked better and my boyfriend's as well, and he works construction. It's a nice central location as well. read more

Needed a bit of "me" time and a badly needed mani/pedi. Good Nails accommodated that. With concern to Covid-19, it gave me peace of mind how conscious they were with safety (employees and clients). I was really happy services were done outside (masks on for everyone). Service was really attentive. Happy with my manicure and pedicure. read more

The only reason I am not giving five stars isn't their fault they are doing their absolute best outside during Covid. So the outside situation is a little difficult for them to manage but they are truly making the best of it and I was thankful. First time here and I will be back! I am appreciative of anyone who is providing services during this ridiculousness. My nails look fabulous! Got a pedicure also and it also is great. read more

The absolute BEST nail salon in the Bay area by far. Their skills are untouchable they can do any nail design and shape exquisitely and they treat you like family. They are always so sweet and no one does pedicures as amazing as them. It's always a wonderful experience and also so affordable. This place is a gem.
