On the day we were planning to pack our truck the team assigned to show up at 8:30am did not make it. They had run into some unexpected issues with their truck. Spencer, once he sorted out what was happening to his team, came to our home and personally helped finish the packing. He pulled another team in after they finished their morning assignment and by the end of the evening we had four people working hard alongside us to get the truck packed so we could roll. A business shows you how well they care about you by how they handle an unexpected error. Even though we were leaving the area and there is little chance we will be able to make use of Good Moving Solutions again Spencer was more than fair in the charges. I called GMS on a Sunday around 11am, in a jam because it didn't work out with another moving company and I needed to finish my move into my new rental that day. I spoke with Spencer, on the verge of tears, who calmed me down and assired me they would take good care of me. 2 hours later two lovely young men (Wesley and Harley) arrived to unload my rental truck into my new place. They brought equipment and started hustling right away. The guys were hardworking, friendly, professional, and PATIENT as I cherry picked items to go into my new place vs. my storage unit. Oh my goodness!!! What an adventure. This move ranks up there with the most exciting and stressful move ever! Let's start off that last minute packing of certain rooms resulted in way more boxes than anticipated!!! For novices like us, we looked at the situation and thought: Can it all fit into the U-haul? Will it all fit? If this was a Western cowboy movie, then that's when the good guys would show up. I have never worked with a team like this before. There are two parts to their business model. You have two moving guys. Nice young fellas with dazzling smiles ready to work the minute they arrive. One part business man. Spenser really, really knows his stuff. He handles all the logistics and paperwork. He came in, did a quick assessment of all that we had and was able to give us an estimation of the situation. It was looking like we might run out of room! It was not for certain, but there was the possibility and Spenser wanted to give us a heads up. My hubby replied "MHH". Which stands for "Miracle Happens Here". And as most of you know, miracles don't happen everyday!!! So we quickly devised a back-up plan. We decided to rent a trailer just in case. Meanwhile, the moving guys were carefully calculating every step of their way. Loading up a truck always takes longer than unloading it, so be prepared for them to take longer than 2 hours to do the job. The driveway was filled with boxes as they staged out what should go in first. It was pretty impressive work to see!!! They used every square inch of that thing! In the end, a miracle did happen! We managed to fit every last box that needed to go in. Some stuff got transferred to cars, and we had to let go of a bicycle. But it was all so worth it!!! I would give Spencer and his crew 10 stars if I could, yet since Yelp only allows me 5 stars, I am stuck with that. To save you a few minutes of reading, let me simply say that if you need to move in the near future, you should work with Good Moving Solutions. You will be very glad you did. I had somewhat of a complicated move (leaving a rental, putting belongings into storage, and moving a few things to a temporary location) that took about 6 hours to complete. From my initial contact with Spencer, I knew I had picked the right company to work with. Spencer spent about a half hour with me on the phone, taking an inventory of my belongings so he could recommend the size truck that I would need and assess if I had the right size storage unit. On moving day, Spencer along with Wes and Huck came out, greeted everyone in my family, and were professional and courteous throughout. The guys went above and beyond my expectations for movers. I had contact with Spencer via phone and email the entire time during the move process. So I had a meltdown at the start of my move. Spencer set me up with two guys and a U-Haul in two days time. Wes and Eric hauled dozens of heavy book boxes, hefty scrapbooking supplies, furniture and more down a flight of stairs. They also helped load furniture into two friends' trucks. We just hired Good Moving Solutions for a local move this past weekend. Extremely professional service. I booked when I made my U-Haul reservation. They were very organized in planning the move - gave me a call and asked for details about the types of furniture, etc. They also gave me a very accurate estimate on the duration that it would take to do the move. A team of two movers did the move (from an apartment to an apartment) and Spencer also came over to supervise the loading process. They had a lot of consideration for the furniture and making certain that everything was protected in the truck. They were very efficient. My sister requested movers when she rented a Uhaul in Eldorado Hills. Spencer contacted my sister the day before the move to assess how big a move it was going to be. I'm new to the area and this is my 38th move but the first time I've hired someone to move me - usually I don't trust anyone. I decided to take the chance and boy was it a good choice! Spencer was timely in his reply and really thorough when I did the initial request. He gave me tips for picking the right size van to make it go easier and faster as well as from the best location in town given the short notice. Spencer called from Good Moving and went over details of items to be moved. On move day, Guys showed up on time, ready to go. Analyzed items immediately and started to work. Even though items were not normal shapes or sizes i.e. weight benches, freezer, outdoor tables, chairs, garbage cans full of garden shovels, racks, and, yes, basic boxes; they placed items perfectly in U-Haul with 2 inches to spare. I've used Good Moving Solutions three times and every time they've impressed me with their efficiency. Every staff member I've talked to at Good Moving Solutions has been polite and professional. The movers are insanely talented. We only booked two guys for each move and each time we were impressed with how quickly and almost effortlessly the guys moved everything. We had a tv cabinet that my family tried and failed to move on our own with three people, Good Moving Solutions made it look like nothing with two guys. All the movers come out with their own moving supplies (dollies and belts for their backs) and they really take the stress out of moving. I'm an anxious person but with Good Moving Solutions, I know I'm in good hands and I take a step back and let them do the job because I've seen the work they do and it's so much better than what I could do in terms of packing a truck so nothing moves around when you're driving. This is your mover! I reserved on Uhaul based on good reviews there. Spencer called me right away, he was personable and professional and set everything up with me. The moving crew showed up on time and everything was moved safely. They were friendly and polite and anyone should feel comfortable trusting their move with them. I had a large difficult wardrobe, appliances, heavy couches, cats running underfoot and still everything was handled professionally and got to my new place without a scratch. When I move myself I just shove things through doors and into the truck and bang everything up. They measured doorways first, removed handles or dismantled pieces where needed, carefully went through doorways and up steps and packed the truck efficiently, and even helped me set up my bed frame. About 20 min later I get a call from Spencer and he was so friendly and professional on the phone, I was really impressed. So after about a 15 min conversation we set up for a Friday move. I was called when they were 10 minutes away on the day of the move, I was called a few hours into the move just to see if everything was going well.
