They were a little later getting to us than scheduled due to a fire that shut the road down (obviously not their fault), but man did they move like lightening when they got to us - everything was packed and transported to their van in just a few hours - both from our apartment and then our storage spot a few miles away. They took everything back to Sacramento that night, and then set off the next day to Seattle. By the following day, they had beat us to the city! They moved all of stuff quickly in to our new apartment - nothing was missing, broken or marked...incredible! They were super friendly, professional and just a pure delight to work with. James was reassuring in that the move would be no problem. He had a crew of three guys and they were experienced, efficient and professional! They used shoulder straps/harness with two men carrying in the huge items. James said that was the preferred method because dollys could scratch up the walls. They even made a second trip to pick up a large vintage stereo cabinet at my mother-in-law's house nearby.....I know that was a heavy item. We are do-it- yourself kind of people. If you want everything done for you it might not be the best option. We were warned that it isn't a moving van, it's a cargo trailer, so plan accordingly. That means, pad everything with lots of bubble wrap, pack the trailer tightly and to the roof, and get plenty of ratcheting straps to hold it all in. We had friend and family help loading, and it took 4 of us the full 3 days they gave us, but we hired a company to unload, which took 3 guys 3 hours with some help from us. UPack was on time, if not earlier than we expected. They did drop off the trailer at our destination on the first day of our 3 day window, which we weren't expecting, but it was fine. The movers came the second day as planned, and UPack picked the trailer up at dawn on the 3rd day. We got everything with just the most minimal damage; a corner of an ironing board, a little dent in a chair. All wine glasses in one piece (see: bubble wrap). If you do this, you need to get permits at each end to park the trailer for 3 days. UPack won't park unless they see them. Do your part, they'll do theirs, and all will be well.

From the time I booked the appt to the time the actual move date (yesterday) occurred, I couldn't have asked for anything more. Steve, the owner, answered all of my questions up until the move date. I asked that his men (3 of them) contact me 30 min prior to arrival to make sure I was home and not walking my dogs; they did. I asked specifics if his men would help me disassemble my bed which was very heavy and if they would help shrink wrap a good portion of the furniture. They did and more; some of my very expensive high-priced furniture was wrapped carefully with the blankets I supplied. Another piece of furniture had so much glass and mirrors that Antonio painfully tore up (by hand) a bunch of extra shipping cardboard I had on hand (we didn't have any box cutters - it was all packed) to pad and secure the many mirrors and glass in the china buffet. I felt so bad that he was doing this for me but he did it graciously and with a smile. They worked efficiently to empty out a 4700 sq ft home in 4.25 hrs and to the storage facility that was 5 miles away). I was so impressed by their ethics, professionalism, willingness, service and most of all, efficiency. I watched them shrink wrap several pieces of furniture in minutes! I was in awe and amazement. I told them what took them minutes was 1/2 hr for me. DEFINITELY book your move with these folks. I can't say enough of how good they are. They also have a storage facility. Their storage facility is very secure, only Steve and his employees have access to the warehouse. With Steve you only have to make one phone call for your move and storage needs. I am a licensed Realtor and I recommend all of my clients to Steve.

That's the way they do things. I went ahead and gave all my information, including my credit card number. I chose another place to rent . I never signed a contract. My intention was to hold the unit until the first and then make my decision. But this particular Public Storage chose to charge me. They never contacted me. They never asked me if I still wanted the unit. They just charged my card. This was August 1, I was told by a couple people managers that the money would be returned to me. It's now October 3 two months and two days later and I still haven't received the money back on my card. When I called about two weeks ago, I was told the money would be sent to me in the form of a check within 4 to 6 weeks. To avoid getting screwed by this company, I would definitely not rent there. The worst customer service I have ever dealt with and I was lied to at least three different occasions about when I would be getting my money back. You've been warned! So you took the money out of my account on August 1 it's now October 6. That's nine weeks that I don't have the money that I should have. Few more weeks has passed and I still have not received my check. This company lies and promises things that they do not deliver upon. They choose to have bad reviews about their company instead of paying the $35 that is owed. Great customer service. NOT! What kind of people are behind a business that steals money from people that never rented from them? You would think they would just pay the money that is owed and move on. But instead, they choose to have me write bad reviews because of their fraudulent activities.
