We selected Good Movers based on their five-star Yelp rating and the positive customer comments.. We were only moving a couple miles down the road, but needed assistance on the larger items (e.g., piano, washer and dryer, refrigerator, sofas, curio cabinets, etc.). James was reassuring in that the move would be no problem. He had a crew of three guys and they were experienced, efficient and professional! They used shoulder straps/harness with two men carrying in the huge items. James said that was the preferred method because dollys could scratch up the walls. They even made a second trip to pick up a large vintage stereo cabinet at my mother-in-law's house nearby.....I know that was a heavy item. I was searching through Yelp for reviews of local companies for my move within the Sacramento area. After requesting multiple quotes, Good Movers was by far the most reasonable in price without any of the hidden costs I was finding with other companies. They also had almost all 5 star ratings and James got back to me quickly and answered all my questions (I always have many) with patience. As impressed with Good Movers before my move, I was even happier once they arrived! They were on time and even though I paid for a 3 man crew; James came along to assist as well. From the one moment they arrived they communicated consistently to ensure everything we wanted moved was being taken and worked so incredibly fast while also taking extreme care with all our items. Every piece of furniture was wrapped in both cloth and plastic wrap and extra care was taken to ensure walls were not scraped or marked. The main reason I hired movers for the first time was that I had a huge and heavy Treadmill that had been built in that room and I didn't know how I would ever get it out. They made quick work of that beast! They also disassembled my washer/dryer at the old house and reassembled it on the second story of my new home. They went above and beyond the job assisting with fixing furniture that was already broken to make it functional in our new home. They were able to complete the move from a 2 story, 3 bedroom house to a 3 bedroom 2 story house with the closest access for their truck being 3 houses away in just over 3 hours!!! Did I mention they are so incredibly quick and efficient? And friendly too! I can't say enough positive things about Good Movers and would definitely recommend them to anyone I know! The movers were SO great. I had been in my previous apartment for 7 years () and they helped wrap everything, including my precious plants, and vintage furniture, etc. They were on time, super efficient, and I can't believe they got all of my stuff in to an apartment in the Bay Area from Sacramento, half of the size.. I was wholly underpacked & unprepared for my move, due to a combination of illness, work stress, a recent car accident, and ADHD analysis paralysis, but James & his crew efficiently moved every damn thing they could during my 1st move. A scheduling snafu pushed that out an extra week, but day of, James came through with a 4 man crew instead of 3, and wrapped up my move from a 2nd floor walk up to a 3rd floor walk up in under 3 hours. These cats are phenomenal for what they do. Easy paperwork, simple pricing, insurance, careful wrapping and loading, skill with moving into 'antique' buildings, great furniture set up, and a couple of them are comedians. This is SO overdue, but SO well deserved. These guys are incredible. They moved us from San Jose to Seattle! They were a little later getting to us than scheduled due to a fire that shut the road down (obviously not their fault), but man did they move like lightening when they got to us - everything was packed and transported to their van in just a few hours - both from our apartment and then our storage spot a few miles away. They took everything back to Sacramento that night, and then set off the next day to Seattle. By the following day, they had beat us to the city! They moved all of stuff quickly in to our new apartment - nothing was missing, broken or marked...incredible! They were super friendly, professional and just a pure delight to work with. These guys are awesome. My sister and I spent maybe 24+ hours packing up our 1600 sq ft apartment and they were able to load it all into their truck in under 1h and 30mins. They also went out of their way to help us load into our storage unit and drop some of our stuff off at a second location. We had tons of glass tables, plants, and lamps, and everything survived the move in one piece. On top of that, they were all super funny and fun to spend the day with. I hired Good Movers to do a move 90 minutes away from my previous address. They showed up on time, very punctual and started moving things immediately. I was impressed how fast they loaded all of my 1 bedroom apartment (including a giant sectional and cal king bed). We just completed a move on Friday and used Good Movers. They showed up on time, wrapped/padded all of our furniture and loaded our boxes onto their truck in just over two hours. Arrived at the new house and unloaded in about two hours as well. James and his crew were awesome and professional. Took extra care making sure nothing was damaged. They also take apart and reassemble all of your furniture, including setting up appliances in the new location. James also went the extra mile in my opinion - he noticed that our dryer had the wrong type of wire for the outlet in our new house. He let me know right away, and I was able to pop over to Home Depot to get the correct wire. He took the time to take off the old sure, install the new wire and hooked everything up to make sure it all worked. I would 100% recommend them to anyone, and plan to use them for any moving needs in the future. read more

My husband is a disabled veteran and could not help, but these guys put him at ease because they were respectful, nice and funny. It has been a couple of weeks and we still talk about how amazed we were with the job they did. We are older and we don't have ikea lightweight furniture anymore. We were absolutely blown away by how quickly they worked, especially when dealing with a sloped driveway and multiple sets of stairs during the unload.
