BEWARE!!!!! TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!!
Review of B&B accommodation in Paris.
Service:Room: The room was tiny and the there were two very small single beds.
Bedding: The bedding was extremely old and not to the standard of a normal B&B. Towels: They were also extremely old and should have been thrown out many years ago. They were hard and looked to be at least 6 7 years old.
Pillows: Were terrible, very uncomfortable pillows and you could not have a reasonable nights rest on them, as they were completely the wrong shape.
The wardrobe: While the wardrobe was extensive there were still clothes from the landlord hanging inside, which made us, feel uncomfortable and is not fitting for guests. Bathroom: The bathroom was lovely.General set up of the accommodation: I would have to disagree with calling this accommodation a Bed and Breakfast as the room we had was right next door to the landlords room. It felt completely awkward and uncomfortable. They should market this room as 'House share' Accommodation and not Bed and Breakfast. Breakfast: We did not stay long enough to even have breakfast for reasons that I will explain in just a few momentsGeneral comments and impressions: We were greeted by our landlords and we got on well with them initially. We had travelled from London and were tired and hungry so once we were settled in we wanted to go out and get some dinner, they said no problem, as long as we didn't make a noise when we got back (This should have been an alarm bell) As a land lord who has taken 150 Euros from paying guests you do not give them curfews to adhere to.
So we went out and came home, after working all day and travelling long hours we wanted to shower and get to bed. As I came out of the shower the door next to our room opened and the landlord came out, held his finger to his lips and said, shssshhhhhhhhhhh!!!At first I thought this was a joke, but once in bed I was furious, there is no situation where this behavior is acceptable, My partner and I paid 150 euros to stay two night and we were treated like small children, I was angry and completely disillusioned. We woke up at 7 in the morning, packed out things and went straight to a hotel, where we were treated like gold. I think these particular landlords need to seriously reconsider the reasons why they have decided to open their homes to travellers, they were rude and unaccommodating. While we were polite, and friendly. They have left us with a negative impression of Paris on our very first night.
Review of 'Good morning Paris' Website agency:
While on the face of it Good morning Paris are a great web site, offering a great service. We have had a rather poor encounter. Due to our difficult experience with the accommodation landlords we expected the agency to be understanding, we requested a refund of half our money for the night that we did not stay at the accommodation, and due to the fact that we were particularly disappointed with the service received we expected the agency to play an impartial role in helping to settle this dispute. Once again we were disappointed, the agency told us that they were not going to refund us, and we were left with very little option of getting any resolution. We were left angry and upset by our experience and I would suggest that anyone using this service DO NOT PAY until you are happy with the service you are receiving because if for any reason you are unhappy, the door will be shut and you will be left out in the cold. read more
