But they did have a double door with a small hallway to block the noise. The cons would be with strong wind pressure on a rainy day, you could still here the door movement. The bathroom was designed probably for handicap access with slightly higher toilet and a shower capable of likely wheelchair rolling in and adjustable shower head height. There was a very slight smell coming from the bathroom, but enough to notice it and have to close the door. The nice thing about the room was comfy bed, plenty of lighting and three chairs in a room probably no bigger than 180 sq feet. Plenty of places to leave your jackets, backpacks and shopping bags etc. And the most unusual good thing was that the room had a private-ish patio. I think only the two guest rooms on the first floor could access it. Had a nice open air sitting area, unfortunately December weather can be cold or rainy. My rate was ~$165/night inclusive of tax, no breakfast. A decent price for a last minute booking in a busy part of town.

Great TV, amazing location - amazingly friendly wake-up call and incredible recommendations for how to get to certain places and places to go near the hotel. 10/10. Absolutely amazing first experience abroad. I want to come to Paris again and when I do I want to come here. ** ( I speak some French but wanted to write this in English to express my feelings accurately - because this place deserves it. I was amazed at how incredible it was here!) **

Situated on a small one way street near Rue Lepic and Rue Des Abbesses in the shadow of the Sacre Cœur, you're in easy walking distance of charming creperies, boulangeries and boutiques. And the hilly streets near the hotel beg to be strolled. I was shocked by the friendly reception I got when I turned up here and even more so when the man who checked me in offered me multiple wifi access codes for my different devices; that's a first for me in Paris! Not only is the hotel ideal for a romantic jaunt, the business traveler can also get work done here. The lift is super slow so I recommend taking the stairs (what better way to work off that pain au chocolat?) But that's the only complaint I have about the place. Sadly, I had but one short night at the reasonably priced (I've often paid more and gotten less in Paris) Hôtel Relais Montmartre but it's somewhere I'd love to return to whether for business or pleasure.

Also in the area, many cute restaurants, mostly reasonably priced ($$) that are filled with locals. A little farther from the touristy sites (Louvre, Eiffel Tower), but manageable if you're willing to figure out the bus system. As for the accommodations, we paid for the cheapest rooms and was placed in one on the ground floor next to the stairs, but did not even notice any noise from passing foot traffic. Clean room, full-sized mattress, spacious (a little dated) bathroom with only a shower. One night, we brought back dinner to eat in the ground floor patio, and were pleasantly surprised when the staff offered us proper plates and cutlery for our meal. In summary, Hôtel Relais Montmartre offered a very comfortable and friendly stay in a quaint, less-touristy neighborhood, a great Paris boutique hotel experience. Note: Free Wifi available.

First off, our flight was delayed by a couple hours and we arrived very late in the night, much later than expected. Philippe waited up for us and quietly showed us around the building and our room and made sure we were settled before retiring for the night. Just one example of the incredible hospitality you'll find here. The rooms at Courcelles-Parc are simply beautiful, you can't go wrong with any of them. The building is old but very well maintained with beautiful, modern furnishings with a touch of Paris romance thrown in. We had a huge TV in our room along with a great shower, a large and very comfortable bed, ample closet space, a coffee maker, blow dryer, free wi-fi, and bottled water and cookies on our pillows every night. After long days spent touring Paris this was the perfect place to return to and unwind. We had breakfast every morning upstairs in Philippe and Nathalie's apartment and although I usually prefer a hot breakfast, I was yearning for the fresh fruit and AMAZING basket of breads and croissants after we left. The bread and croissants were always just so fresh and chewy and flaky...everything you envision when you think of the perfect Parisien breakfast. Philippe also makes a fantastic (and strong) cup of coffee...a big plus in our book! Every morning Philippe would ask what our plans were for the day and give us advice and tips on where to eat, what to do, and how to get places. He was very helpful and funny and we enjoyed our talks with him every morning. It was also super convenient that the subway was just steps away from our front door! My husband and I were there for the first leg of our honeymoon and on our last morning, after arranging our taxi to the airport, Philippe gave me a beautiful book wrapped in a bow with a bride on the cover. It was a book with pictures and short descriptions of different wedding traditions around the world. It was so sweet and thoughtful, but honestly I wasn't all that surprised. Just one last example of why Philippe and Nathalie are the best and Courcelles-Parc is the perfect place to stay in Paris.

Philippe and Nathalie (our hosts) had a slew of alternate travel routes/tours/attractions so that we didn't feel like we were missing out. Our only regret is that we didn't have more time. This B&B will exceed all your expectations. Would definitely return

We finally arrived on 22nd September 2021 for a fabulous week in our favorite city.  The week was greatly enhanced by the pleasure of staying in Martinn's apartment. The location was perfect for us as it was in a residential, vs tourist area, yet close to many attractions as well as a metro station. We took her up on the optional dinner at her residence, and it was just a lovely, lovely evening of good food and great conversation. The breakfast Martinn provided lasted a few days, and was a great treat. I highly recommend, and we will have no hesitation in staying here again on our next trip.
