Food was not cool properly. When ask for good one then a over cook totally burned. However, waitress was so nice and friendly.

By the time we left, there was waiting to get a table. And for a good reason. The food is exceptional, got the tandoori chicken momo, chicken lollipop and Himalayan special fried rice. Everything was amazing. The lollipops are killer, highly recommend them but you can't go wrong with any of the dishes. Will definitely recommend this place. We also had the tamarind mojito which was so good and refreshing.

They have a very extensive menu with plenty of options. We ordered steamed chicken momo, chicken curry, mutton thali, sha baley, and kurkure momo. Total after fees and tip was $125. It's a lot of food. We weren't able to finish it all. The steamed momo was very good. That was probably the favorite. However the choice for filling of the momos is limited. You only have chicken or veggie. Seeing order photos of menus from two years ago they used to offer beef Himalayan momos. The chicken curry was very filling! But it made a bit of a mess. Packaging could be improved. The mutton thali was well received. The components were packaged separately. So some assembly is required. The yogurt is sweet. The kurkure momo was very crispy and fresh. But all of the sauces (3 or 4) included were spicy. I would have liked a mild option. It's a little too dry to eat without a sauce. The sha baley is a bit like an empanada. It was very good. They're quite big. I'd say each one was the size of my hand. Very filling. They came in a paper bag. It's pretty tasty food with a good value!

I had the hot tea and was told she puts her own mix of spices in the tea. I highly recommend that if you like tea. My husband and I shared the 2 chicken entrees which were both delicious-the saffron rice was cooked to perfection and seasoned just right. It's a casual feel but the service was wonderful-the staff were so kind and friendly. If we ever come back to see the falls again we will be stopping at Rosie's for dinner .

We had the chicken 65 (medium), butter chicken (medium), pea pulau, garlic naan and strawberry lassi. Everything was super fresh and huge portions. We took home at least half of the meal. The chicken 65 was what I would consider an "American medium" spice level; not super hot but had a little kick. The butter chicken wasn't spicy at all but was rich and creamy. The rice was a good surprise, it had a buttery/garlicky flavor of its own and wasn't at all bland. The garlic naan was thin and very garlicky, so it won't fill you up too fast. The lassi was really good, the owner makes the yogurt from scratch and they had about a dozen flavors you could choose from. I suspect it is hard to go wrong. We are only in town one week a year but I look forward to keeping Rosie's in our rotation. The service is excellent and the price for all we ordered was about $65 before tip, which since we got a couple more meals out of it was quite reasonable. Check them out, I doubt you will be disappointed!

I don't recall ever having Nepali cuisine so this was new to me. With Nepal being north of India…read moreand close to Mt Everest, there are similarities to Indian cuisine, with some Chinese influences. We started with their Steamed Chicken Momos. They were large, stuffed with chicken, and very delicious, especially with a spicy dipping sauce! That was soon followed by Dahi Puri, a crispy pastry shell with a savoury filling, topped with creamy yogurt. I've had similar dishes but these were the best versions ever! We also had their Chicken Choyela (served with crispy broken rice), an excellent Chicken Chow Mein, and Paratha flatbread. Additionally, we had a Mutton Thakali Set which is a combo meal with several components, all delicious. We were impressed. Every dish was absolutely delicious, full of flavour, with generous portions. I highly recommend Lumbini Hut! I'll definitely be back! PS - They have a large patio for outdoor dining in the summer, and a banquet hall in the basement for private events. They also have live entertainment on weekends.

The servers are wearing traditional garments and there is beautiful artwork on the walls . Friday - Sunday they even have live music. They have a large space in the restaurant for parties and events. After speaking with the owner, I found the upstairs event space can accommodate 50 patrons and the downstairs hall can host 200! Wow. Now onto the exciting part; The food. We ordered a couple different dishes and shared Dahi Puri Chicken Choyela Chicken Steam Momo's Chicken Chow Mein Thakali Set - Mutton Paratha I'm a huge Dahi Puri lover. This version blew me away... The flavor profile was perfection. ( My friend LOVED this dish as well. ) Next up were the Momo's. They're known for their Momo's. I do prefer a steamed Momo, so we went with steamed chicken. The portion size was quite large and the dipping sauce paired well; they had so much flavor. The next appetizer dish was one I have never had before; Chicken Choyela. I generally don't enjoy crunchy / textured foods but my friend quite enjoyed the puffed rice addition of this dish. The chicken had a unique flavor, unlike anything I've had before. It was solid. Their Chow Mein is another dish that they're known for. I seem to prefer noodles over rice these days. (But, I'm generally disappointed with most places noodles.) These were SUPERB! They had a smoky flavor to them and were a 10/10. I've had Thali but never a Thakali. While similar, they are different; We chose the mutton option. This dish was incredibly tender and bursting with flavors. Dish after dish impressed us. This spot hits all the right notes and is a definite must visit if you're in the area. My friend was so impressed, he's already planning his next visit!
