We had a great dinner here the other night. The owners are super friendly and the food is delicious. We had the chicken 65 (medium), butter chicken (medium), pea pulau, garlic naan and strawberry lassi. Everything was super fresh and huge portions. We took home at least half of the meal. The chicken 65 was what I would consider an "American medium" spice level; not super hot but had a little kick. The butter chicken wasn't spicy at all but was rich and creamy. The rice was a good surprise, it had a buttery/garlicky flavor of its own and wasn't at all bland. The garlic naan was thin and very garlicky, so it won't fill you up too fast. The lassi was really good, the owner makes the yogurt from scratch and they had about a dozen flavors you could choose from. I suspect it is hard to go wrong. We are only in town one week a year but I look forward to keeping Rosie's in our rotation. The service is excellent and the price for all we ordered was about $65 before tip, which since we got a couple more meals out of it was quite reasonable. Great find for North Indian cuisine! Only Halal meat is used in their meat dishes, per the owners. I didn't catch that written on the menu. They also serve Hakka cuisine which is best described as Indo-Chinese infused flavors. We did not try any of those items, but we will try definitely next time. We came looking for butter chicken! My daughter's absolute favorite. She really enjoyed the succulent, white meat, floating in savory buttery, tomato creamy curry. Delicious! She sopped up the curry with garlic naan. Which was garlicky, fluffy and buttery and melt in your mouth. Both solid 5/5. We took an extra order of butter chicken home to our close friend. He's going to love it! We ordered the saag paneer (cooked spinach with pieces of cheese), vegetarian. 4/5 in flavor but could be less oily. Order a piece of naan to sop it up! We ordered the chicken biryani. 3/5. Not as flavorful as I hoped. On the bland side although we ordered medium heat, and it needed a touch more salt (which can be added at the table, so no biggie). Contained juicy pieces of dark meat chicken (it looked like dark meat) that appear to have curry on it, which made the rice portion soggy when mixed together with the rice. Also, a little too oily at the bottom. It just wasn't the biryani that I'm used to eating. Usually the curry in biryani cannot be detected, as it gets infused into the steamed rice and the meat pieces are drier. So- so biryani, in my opinion. Excellent biryani is hard to find in Indian restaurants as a whole. We started our meal with two different lassi, traditional yougurt drinks. The salt-pepper lassi (savory) 4/5 in taste, and the mango lassi (sweet, think of it as a milkshake), 5/5 per my daughter. Appetizer of fish pakora, with mint and tamarind chutney. Hearty pieces of fish, nicely prepared 5/5. All in all, the food here is a solid 4/5. Freshly prepared. They could use less oil in some of the dishes. We ordered medium, which was really more of a mild in my opinion. The portion sizes are hearty. The owners, who served us, were extra generous with us because we ordered a lot. Plus we ordered extra to take home. The prices are high as compared to other local Indian restaurants. Yet, you get a lot for what you pay. Just be prepared to spend more money in this restaurant. They do not have a buffet at this time. They are considering adding a buffet option once the summer approaches. Perhaps they expect more customers due to increased tourism. After all, it is Niagara Falls! Located in the Pine plaza (strip mall) in Niagara Falls, New York. Easy to find and plenty of parking. A few miles drive to the actual American Falls if you're a tourist. The owners work hard to please you and are very attentive, friendly and personable. Service is no doubt 5/5. Warm-hearted folks. Family run business. The restaurant is clean and bright and inviting. The food is served in little copper bowls- the presentation is lovely. Nice touch, we took notice and appreciated it. My wife and I were visiting friends who live in the area and decided to stop here for some Fine Indian food. The reviews and the fact it was close by are what brought us here. We started with the vegetable Samosas which were crispy and flavorful. We had mint chutney and tamarind chutney served as well. For our main courses I had the curry goat and my wife ordered the chicken korma. We also ordered garlic naan and peas pullau rice. All the dishes were well prepared with the right spice level as requested by us. The portion sizes were more than adequate. The dining room was clean and well decorated. The owner and his wife greeted us warmly and their son was our very attentive waiter. All in all we had a very pleasant experience and would be regulars if only we lived closer. read more

When my husband and I travel, we're always looking for interesting places to eat, even when just stopping for an overnight somewhere. We were so happy to see an Indian-Nepali restaurant to try and we were NOT disappointed! Delicious food and great service, with the young man who served us making great suggestions. Such variety of dishes on the menu with their own special twist. Plus dishes we haven't seen in other Indian restaurants. So flavorful with a heat level, spice-wise, that can accommodate anyone. This is my first time at the restaurant. It just opened. The food was excellent I started with the garlic tomato soup. Very tasty with garlic sprinkled on the soup. My main course was goat jalfergy I have been eating goat for years and by far this was the best gravy I have ever had The rice serve with the main course was perfect, not sticky rice. Just a very rich tasting The service was superb. This small restaurant tucked in the plaza is definitely worth a visit. It was the freshest Indian food that I have eaten because everything is homemade and it shows. If you have never enjoyed Indian food before, go here and I bet you will have a good meal. This is an amazing local find! I went here for lunch with a friend (who had been before and raved about it) and experienced fresh, delicious Nepalese Indian dishes with friendly service. We had the mild chicken malai tikka and a medium spiced kadai chicken, with paratha, naan, and a salt and pepper lassi. If like me you've only ever had a sweet lassi before, the savory version was a treat - went perfectly with the kadai chicken. The interior was clean, cozy and bright. And the family owners couldn't have done more to make our visit enjoyable. I've had plenty of Indian dishes in the UK and while travelling in India, but struggled to find great examples outside of major cities here in the US - until now. We had one of the worst customer service experiences ever at this restaurant. Forget about the food for a moment -- what stood out the most was how rude and disrespectful the staff were from the beginning. We were a family of 8 visiting from abroad and different states, including kids. As soon as we walked in around 9 PM, an older gentleman immediately told us that if we were a family of 8, we "must order 8 entrees." I honestly found that incredibly rude and inappropriate. We've eaten at Indian restaurants all over the country and have never been told how much food we are required to order. You don't dictate people's appetites or force families to spend a certain amount. That same night, we ordered several takeout combos and politely asked for enough plates since we were taking the food back to our hotel. The younger guy (possibly the owner's son) assured us everything was included. When we got back, we realized they didn't provide a single plate -- only utensils. We had to go out again late at night just to buy plates ourselves. Despite the bad experience, we decided to give them another chance the next day. Unfortunately, it got even worse. The young employee, who claimed to be 16 years old, was extremely rude, arrogant, and dismissive. We ordered momos to share with kids and asked for extra utensils, but he refused, acting as if giving an extra fork would bankrupt the business. He also said they "should never have served us" the previous night because we came in around 9:05 PM and they close at 9:30 PM. If they didn't want to serve customers that late, they could have politely told us upfront instead of taking our order and treating us horribly afterward. I'm genuinely disappointed. I've been to Indian restaurants across the country and have never experienced such poor hospitality and disrespect toward customers. I would absolutely not recommend this place based on the service alone. Avoid if you expect basic courtesy and decent customer service. read more

The food was delicious-saffron rice, butter chicken and chicken tikka masala with garlic naan. The naan was hot and scrumptious. I had the hot tea and was told she puts her own mix of spices in the tea. I highly recommend that if you like tea. My husband and I shared the 2 chicken entrees which were both delicious-the saffron rice was cooked to perfection and seasoned just right.
