A very average takeaway. I wouldn't try it again personally. The curry sauce is nothing to write home about.

We had a meal there last week before going onto somewhere else and, as usual, we were more than pleased. Nothing can quite beat the pleasure of perusing a menu with a cold Tsing Tao Chinese beer in your hand. While you're doing this, The Four Seasons, like most Chinese restaurants, serves prawn crackers while you do this, but it also serves little dishes of fire-hot chilli dip and a green chive and ginger dipping sauce that could lead to a momentary lapse in table manners as you try to scoop up the last bits. We always over-order, so we agreed to have 2 starters and one main course: how can I describe what their hand-made dumplings taste like? Or the 8 inch long, skinny spring rolls with their own pork and garlic filling? Kimchee beef followed, more beer and what do you know? Stuffed - again! Here are my tips for a successful visit: loose clothes, no thoughts of going on to party anywhere else, and a nice bed to drift into later! The staff are lovely and the clientele loyal, it's reasonably pricey, but so what when there's no pink, gloopy sweet and sour sauce in sight? This is a restaurant to treat yourself to, but you'll want to go back, I promise.

The menu is vast and after a long deliberation I decided to try their crispy shredded beef with chili sauce- it didn't disappoint! The food was really good and the portion's were big too which is always great! They gave us free prawn crackers and the house wine was really nice too. We were with a group of 8 people and this didn't seem to phase the staff or the kitchen who all took it in their stride. Great pace to go for s date or with a big group as they can cater for all really well.

I had the minced duck, spring onion, peeled, sliced cucumber hoi sin sauce and pancakes with some tasty sliced duck on the side and to be honest it's pretty near 5 star food. The king prawn salt & chilli, was another darn good quality dish here with fresh sliced red chilli. Believe it or not there are very few Chinese takeaways in this area that dish up fresh chilli with most using dry chilli flakes for heat, or put it another way, cheap dratsabs (read backwards). As I said, the toilets are grim, no loo seats in the gents at all. Now I'm not daft and I've no doubt it's damage arising from thugs, probably with too much booze on board. Another slightly worrying thing was when I asked a pleasant waitress for a small amount of honey, as I wanted to 'dilute' the thick hoi sin sauce, she returned a few minutes later to say there wasn't any as 'they don't use honey.' Oh oh. How do they make honey chilli chicken?! They use white sugar and turn it into a syrup. Cheap. Another factor is that real honey actually has a taste. Sugar syrup is just sweet. There's lots of cheap foods here, Chips, onion rings mini spring rolls. The prawn crackers are quite good quality as was the chicken and sweetcorn soup. I tried the black bean sauce 2 out of 5; the satay sauce 1 out if five and the Peking sauce 4 out of 5. Again there's fresh fruit, sliced apples, cubed melon, sliced oranges, banana (but coated in something euch) and lychees. Then the cheap stuff like jelly, cheap ice cream, pre frozen cheesecake, tinned fruit and so on. All in all its worth the money and I wouldn't hesitate to return. Chinese staff alright friendly. One caution, the car park is inside the Quays and the mean owners charge parking. This restaurant gives time free if you are a guest.

This evening Lill's successfully eased a particularly vicious hangover. Lilli's is located at the bottom of Grey's Hill in Bangor, a short walk from the town centre and the local hotspots and a short drive from the surrounding area. There's fantastic parking across the road if you are driving for a sit in meal or are just picking up. This evening we decided that facing the world might be a little too much to handle so we ordered our food over the phone and decided to collect. On collection I got to pop inside to see the decor and although it was authentic it looked dated. This building has been a Chinese for as long as I can remember but under a variety of different names. The food was just ok, not bad but not amazing. There were 6 of us eating and no one was blown away with their meal. I ordered salted chili chicken and my first impression was that it was on the smaller side, especially in comparison to our usual takeaway in Belfast. The overall quality of the meals wasn't fantastic. I would love to make a return visit to check what the food is like when you sit in. On the plus side the food was ready quickly and perhaps it suffered because of that! 3 Stars - A-OK!

The positives are that you can order a kids meal and the portion is large enough for me to be satisfied. On the native front they often forget items, for instance last night they neglected to give us prawn crackers. We usually order online, so that process is remotely is straightforward. Although you should expect to wait around 40 minutes. In Bangor you are spoilt for choice when it comes to Asian takeaways, they vary i quality but if you're looking for decent food and a simple ordering process Lilli's is a good bet.
