I turned to Yelp for help. Within 15 minutes of submitting a request, Phil called me. He carefully listened to my concerns, reviewed the videos I sent, and offered honest advice. He explained the worst-case scenarios but also talked about potential minor issues that could be causing the noise. Phil's honesty and transparency immediately put me at ease. He told me to bring the car in first thing the next morning. When I arrived, Phil made me feel right at home. He took a thorough look at my car ("Betty," as I call her), and without hesitation, called his buddy to deliver the timing chain guide. While working on my car, Phil explained what went wrong and showed me the worn-out parts. He even took us on a test drive to make sure the engine was okay and topped off my oil. We were at Phil's shop from 8:30 AM to about 12:30 PM, and during that time, Phil made sure we felt comfortable. The car was in good shape but they did find a few suggestions to upgrade the ride and safety, such as old tires were starting to dry rot, and breaks needed maintenance. The staff on the phone and in person was very friendly. They got my car in and out in a reasonable amount of time. I was able to walk down to Sandie's Restaurant and grab lunch while waiting. I will definitely use them again when in the area and have a need.
