This company is really really bad! After their customer services explained that they can only allow 1 new user account per household. I thought OK, give them a second try. I ordered again to my home address. Guess what? they cancelled my order again and sent my same e-mail which I received before! So rude! I haven't get a single order from them so far! They just like to throw their customer in the air. Be careful, if they flagged you like they did to me, they'll not looking into the situation and keeping cause inconvenience to you.Treat them like a lier and cheater. I'm officially down with them. read more

I am so happy I found Good Eggs. I am very busy and the last thing I want to do on my day off is grocery shop. Good Eggs allows me to shop in my pajamas and delivers high quality products. I spent a good amount of time researching CSA subscriptions but really couldn't justify paying for a box of random veggies. Good Eggs allows me to pick exactly what I want and has such a variety of items I can try something new every once in a while. I would recommend Good Eggs to anyone and everyone! read more

Warm eggs. I have really hard to like Good Eggs and ordered 4 times from them, but have been consistently disappointed. First, their product offerings are pretty whimsical. Its great that they work with local farms and shops, but its hard to complete one's grocery list with them. Second, they struggle to arrive at the delivery window. They were late 3 times and early 1 time. I could have still given them 3 or 4 stars, but what really hurts is that they are incapable of proper refrigeration, particularly of red meats. Stuff always arrives thawed. This last time it was so bad that the bottom of the box completely collapsed as I lifted it, breaking and spilling local beet sauerkraut, kombucha and glass shards all over my floor, which has been a disaster to clean. Customer service offered 5$ credit as an apology. I cursed, of course, which led them to increase it to 10$. I'm just glad we didn't get food poisoning from their thawed meats. read more

I order groceries with Good eggs every week. There are usually things that I am very understanding, especially when a company is starting. Unfortunately, I think because they are growing, quality and service have been seriously affected. At the beginning there were a couple of missing items, but now there is an issue every week. I cannot say how many emails I have found myself sending regarding not only the missing items, but now it is the quality of some items (moldy cheese, moldy salami and more!), also produce is not so "fresh" anymore and the delivery service is terrible. On one occasion, the delivery person left the things downstairs even though I kindly asked her if she could help me get things upstairs since I have an injury. When I went downstairs, she was gone. I had to wait until someone could help me with the boxes. There is an extra charge they are making for their employees ($4 I believe) for every order, so I wonder if it has actually had an impact on their work. The service is very convenient, until you have to go out and buy things you have planned to cook because the items in your order were missing or the quality of them is not the best. read more

Awesome experience with Good Eggs! The ordering and delivery process is so easy. And the selection of grocery items is great. I discovered some delicious new items for the pantry. I was concerned because some grocery delivery services have pretty poor produce selection but the veggies I ordered were just as perfect as if I had picked them myself. read more

I absolutely LOVE Good Eggs. I first started ordering with them because you could get Tartine bread with no line - sign me up! Now, I use them for all kinds of things ranging from produce to fish to pasta/sauces. Everything that we have gotten has been of the highest quality. They have made me a total produce and meat snob because everything is so high quality. I also have to say that I have tried Instacart as well, and they always mess up my order and dealing with their customer service has been a nightmare each time. Good Eggs always delivers the items I want on time with no issues. Yes, their price point is higher than other delivery services, but what you get is way better. I will remain a devoted customer! read more

A phenomenal company with cool people who are doing great things! I've tried the rest and I keep coming back to Good Eggs, not only because of how consistent and reliable they are, but because they run a socially conscious top-notch business that also takes care of their employees. And amazingly enough, their prices are comparable to that of Safeway and Albertson's in many cases! What's not to like? read more

This business has bad service and has trust issues. I was referred by my friend during the promotion. $25 credit on first groccery.. I was super excited to try since they had all natural food. Total grocery was $50 and after credit applied, I only paid $25. Next day I got my orders. Fruits - rotten . Banana was fresh but they sent loose bananas. My coworkers who were referred by different friends, they were excited to order. One of the girl got her orders. She order steak but 70% fat.. really? Costs more than whole food and 70% fat? Barely any meat. For other coworkers, their orders got cancelled right before the delivery. It said promo code only works for 1 household but our delivery address was a business. They all called good eggs customer service and they said they will flag our address. Although we said it is just a business address where we work. We are all coworkers and referred by different friends. We just like having everything deliver to our work vs home. Same day I was referred, I referred my friend who doesn't work with me. Her orders were cancelled 45 min before delivery. They flagged her. She tried to call services but they refused to send her groccery that she placed order. This business is horrible!! If they don't want people to have free credits, just don't offer. Instead of flagging people and accusing customers. I was happy to try new place, and referred my friends.. but they ended up accusing my friends.. I felt so bad for my friends. I rather use amazon for deliveries. At least they don't accuse people. Sprout and trader joe's has so much fresh produce for affordable price. And great service. No need to shop at Goodeggs. read more

I heard great things about Good Eggs and tried it for my Thanksgiving dinner today. The turkey was sliced turkey roll not sliced roasted turkey as the description said. It was gray and smelled like 3-day old turkey when you know you've had enough of that bird in the frig. I had a little bit of the turkey. I ordered their home-made turkey gravy and received Imagine vegan wild mushroom gravy in a box. OK so they had to make a substitution. As I write this, I am boiling the turkey slices in water with a Yorkshire tea bag, something I saw on Japanese TV to get rid of the gamey smell of meat...hoping to salvage all this expensive meat I have. Even put a dash of brown rice vinegar in it. It still smells like three day old turkey. I thought I would give the cat a tiny thin slice of the turkey thinking maybe I could give to to the critters. He backed away from it, didn't even want to eat out of his bowl after I removed it and put in kibble. That's not fresh turkey we have here. I ordered the gratin potatoes. Can't go wrong with a simple dish like that? It had some green potato in it and it tasted like that green taste that you are supposed to remove from the potato before cooking it and not eat. OK so a little green potato isn't going to hurt me. The third dish I ordered was winter vegetables in a cheese sauce with crispy scallions on it. Looked pretty in the photo. Well, what I got was a big bag of brussels sprouts, a large head of cauliflower and a large head of Romanesco and a bag of shallots...and directions on how to prepare it. Oh I did get a pint of creamy cheese sauce that was already made. OK...so this is a surprise but at least I have the vegetables. I spent the morning cooking which is not why I ordered a prepared Thanksgiving dinner. Fortunately, I made two dishes of the fresh vegetables, liking my own recipe better of brussels sprouts, apples, walnuts, blue cheese, sauteed yellow onion and sherry. The dish in the photo that I thought I was going to received cooked, Mixed Brassica Gratin, turned out OK. Cook it longer than it said and add a touch of salt which none of the food contains. I won't do this to myself again...ever. It cost me over $100 too throwing in one can of cranberry sauce with one whole cranberry in it...I saw that one. Didn't want to be picky but really....this was not what I expected. read more

I never write reviews, but Good Eggs is just too good not to... I have been using their delivery service since last year. The quality and freshness is unbeatable, it's like the farmers market came right to me! I love that it supports local growers and companies. Every order comes through exactly as I would expect - there were a few minor hiccups, but they responded efficiently and apologetically. As a former NY'er and food lover, I've used many a grocery delivery service and Good Eggs is a notch above them all. You know you've found something great when you feel sad to think of the possibility that a company like this wouldn't succeed...I honestly don't know what I'd do without them. I'm a BIG fan! P.S. Last year, they made a delivery when I was coming home from the hospital with my newborn. They gifted me with flowers, chocolates and fruit with a note of congratulations - incredible :) read more

I've been ordering off and on from Good Eggs for a couple of years now, and I have such love for this company, the food, and the vision. I often order the meal kits, which are a great way to try out new recipes. I love that you get everything you need for a meal and *just* what you need (cuts down on food waste). It's also so wonderful to get specialty items from SF (like Tartine bread or Nopalito salad dressing or Dynamo Donuts) delivered elsewhere around the bay. And, finally, I love that they've built in a "Good Jobs" fee to ensure workers make enough money (while taking the mystery out of tipping). read more

I absolutely love this delivery service and it replaces my grocery trips, which is key during this pandemic. Good eggs always has great, sustainable, and local options available. They also treat their employees well and in an era where you have lawsuits about other delivery services stealing tips it's great to not have to deal with that issue (Good Eggs pays a living wage and doesn't rely on tips to pay their employees). When things have gone wrong (which doesn't happen often but I have used them for years) they are quick to make it right with a refund. They make being socially and environmentally responsible convenient, without breaking the bank - definitely worth it. read more

I have been using Good Eggs for the past two years. I am absolutely a big fan. It has really increased my repertoire of cooking items and fresh produce from locally sourced Farms. I have never had better tasting produce. They have expanded to wine and beer and I have yet to find something that was not inspiring, from their offering when I have tried it. Take a chance, you will be satisfied. Spend your time pleasing yourself by spending your valuable time enjoying your food. Happy new year! read more

GoodEggs sent me an unasked for snail mail catalog and has NO WAY TO CONTACT THEM to get OFF their list without "signing up." Killing trees, annoying customers, no accountability... good job good egg! :( read more

Finally. Food delivery from someone who read my mind!! The kits are ah-mazing. Super fresh, delicious, and because it comes from a grocery store, no wasted packaging (I got a head of garlic, not an individually vacuum sealed clove and thyme that came in a compstoble produce bag v. a saran wrapped leaf.) And basics like eggs, milk, and bacon that are super fresh, price competitve and delivered to my door. BuhBye Safeway!! I keep telling you why you suck and nothing changes. Hello super fresh, super picky (no more last week's bananas tossed at the bottom of the box by careless teens) food I feel good buying! read more

I was hesitant to write a review but after 3 orders, I am pretty confident I won't be using their service anymore. My first order was great, my second was not. I received a soup two days past the expiration date and dead flowers. The customer service was prompt and they did make up for it, so I decided to try again. 5 stars alone for that department. In my third order, nearly all the produce I had to throw away. I think I salvaged one lemon and the avocados (which were all on their last day before they became too ripe). The rest was rotten or overripe. I realize some organic produce is a little "rough around the edges" but there's a difference. This was just bad quality. I don't mind paying more for premium groceries, however there seems to be a lack in quality control with this company. I would suggest offering alternative items or texting/emailing that an item is unavailable if expired or not suitable for consumption. Until then, I'll get my groceries elsewhere. read more

Since May 2018 I have placed 7 orders with GoodEggs. Four of the orders were seriously wrong in one way or another. That's more than half. Three times they've omitted items I ordered, including instead near-ish misses -- the wrong potatoes, the wrong bacon, etc. My account is set to not accept substitutions. On one order, some specialty potatoes did not arrive in the farmer's brand packaging shown on the product page, but in brown paper bags. I think they were the less expensive "bulk" version of that potato type which they offer but they swore it was not. Hmm. Today, they made new errors. They sent me an email 40 minutes *after* they delivered my order to tell me it lacked the 2 gallons of milk I ordered. And the delivery person did not buzz me despite the instruction on my order, so I spent a while searching for the missing milk. And calling them to no avail. Their produce has not been as good as at three different organic markets close to me. I tried one of their meal kits using an intro coupon. It was okay and far too expensive. I've found their customer service inconsistent and sometimes clueless. It's not satisfying to receive a credit towards a future when so few of their items work for me. Before today I had already restricted my ordering to only a few items I didn't think they could mess up, but then they goofed up the actual delivery. This is not the service for time when I care about getting getting exactly what I paid for at the time I stayed home to receive it. read more

This is basically a fetch service for "artisanal," uber-local, or over-hyped perishables. Great if you buy these regularly so that you don't have to go fetch around the Bay Area. I suppose if you just have these items occasionally, there are other "concierge" fetch services. I've ordered something like 5-10 times, but I have soured on it. First, they're expensive. The majority of their namesake product (eggs) are now sold at Whole Foods, and of course at lower prices. So, you can Instacart them and save a little money, too. Second, the product quality is erratic. For instance, I love stone fruits, so I'm picky and usually go to farmer's markets for these. Peaches from Good Eggs were, oddly, the worst I'd had in a long time, your generic supermarkets included. I know, hard to believe, esp. given the prices they charge, but true. They were truly like stones - small, overly hard (like they were picked for a five-day truck ride to the East), lacking in flavor, and not sweet. Of course, quality is often great, but you expect at these prices for them to be consistently great. Third, pick-up schedules are unreliable. Trucks often arrive late to designated pick-up spots. Sometimes they text to let me know, sometimes they don't. Once in a while, they even leave early. When I call to ask what's going on, did I get the time slot wrong, they act like I'm at fault for relying on their stated schedule. Unprofessional. Fourth, a minor point, they asked for feedback a while back and said they'd send a store credit for taking the time. Sure, why not. Then they sent something that expired in 10 days or so (can't recall exactly), which was a bummer since I don't order every week. I asked for a lengthier expiration term, but I got no response. Oh well. All in all, an interesting service when it works. But - expensive, unreliable quality/schedule, sometimes unprofessional - well, I don't need to eat $10/doz eggs every day. read more

Their food is fabulous and appropriately expensive. There are two major problems with their service. First, most orders contain one or more items that are not delivered. The second problem is outrageous. You are billed for the non delivered items and you have to request a refund. Likewise if you order an expensive piece of meat by the pound, and you receive less, you must request a refund. And it takes days for them to respond. read more

Really great service. It is definitely on the expensive side but you get really high-quality stuff that is hard to find delivered elsewhere. Pro Tip: Thistle juices and Mylks are delicious and available on Good Eggs! read more

I've been using good eggs for years, and lately have been increasingly disappointed with the quality. Recently I haven't been able to get a delivery time (fine, I'm capable of going to the grocery store, just would rather not right now), last week I was psyched to finally get a delivery time, and I ordered $250 of food. Two hours before my delivery arrives (but in the time of the delivery window) I get an email that some of the items were out of stock, and aren't being substituted. Would have preferred to know that earlier, but again, fine. Then it arrives, and I feel straight up SWINDLED. More than just the out of stock items are missing, prepared items had an expiration date 2 days later, some of the produce items are actually rotten, all frozen food is completely thawed because it was nowhere near an ice pack, and neither were the foods that needed to be kept cold. Ice packs were in the sections of the boxes with pantry staples, the actual opposite of where they should have been. A plastic box of pretzel bites was actually sliced open, so they were stale. It was comically bad. I emailed them for a refund for the items that were left out and those that were unsafe to eat, no response. I understand they're busy, but this is insane. All done with these guys. read more

I would like to start by saying I love Good Eggs. I use their service bi monthly (for two years now). I love knowing I'm getting quality ingredients while supporting local farms and businesses. They do forget items frequently since they have expanded and often have forgotten to put ice cream in dry bags, so it arrives liquidated -- but they have not once been hesitant to apologize, refund me or even offer some extra credit. For the most part I've been really happy with it and rave about it. Unfortunately on Christmas Eve this week we decided to skip the holiday grocery crowds and go with Good Eggs for our Christmas Eve Dinner groceries and they failed us massively. Not only did they fail to deliver 75% of what we needed to make family dinner with but when I called and we contacted their dispatch system they said the driver didn't forget, but the items never even made it onto his truck. They did apologize and refunded us, but it really put my family in a stressful and tough spot that day. We ended up having to go to Whole Foods last minute, brave the Christmas crowd the hour before cooking and make do with what they had. Super disappointing. All to say: Amazing service week to week if you can handle the occasional missing item but if you're relying on this service for a special occasion I hate to say -- you are surely taking a huge gamble until they sort out a more reliable system. read more

I am figuring out the tricks to Good eggs...like just getting any delivery window and working from that. Each morning (at whenever I awake) I check their stock...things are added daily. I usually get 85 % of what I want....but the fail at the packaging (3 times now) and no follow up on customer service..It has been over a week. So here we are...at a bad review for employees not capable at putting the ice bag in the right spot or missing altogether from a box with dairy products. End result is warm yogurt and milk. It was great to get and give a discount to a friend, but her first order?? Same thing...warm dairy. Now we are charged extra for peek time and delivery, yet no improvement in the packing of freezer packs. Update follow up 4/29/20......Goodeggs contacted me. Not only apologies for their mistake, but reimbursed me for all the dairy products. 5 stars for doing the right thing !!! read more

Wow, I'm so glad I found Good Eggs. I have a broken leg and can't get out much. I just got my first delivery and I'm ecstatic. Produce is fresh and organic--the strawberries and bok choy are perfect. My eggs are intact and the baked goods are fresh and wonderful. I bought some frozen fish and it came frozen--not partially thawed. I like the fact that I can leave the box and the cold packs at the door for pickup and reuse the next time I get a delivery. I met the minimum for free delivery. Prices were competitive or even better than most stores that sell organic and sustainable products. read more

Excellent service! We've been ordering from Good Eggs the last 2 years. We love the selection and quality of foods offered. Any time we have received something we weren't happy with, we communicate with GE directly and have always been taken care of. OK grocery delivery. They deliver your order in boxes and pick up next delivery. So one can store 7-8 boxes (2x3) for several days if one orders weekly for a family. Box pick up is trying - once they refused to pick up old boxes, saying "no room"; the second time I was chided for leaving the boxes in the rain (sorry I can't foretell the weather or stay at home all day to put out right before the delivery window). This is my 4th delivery -getting it right 50% of the time. Products are good. Customer service (yes - called to insist pick up boxes) was not great. Instacart is much more responsive with missing items & overall customer satisfaction. Need to order several days ahead for some items and at least one day ahead for next day (at least in my zip). Instacart has more options (pantry, vitamins, sundries) but also shopper snafus. So, not really a great substitute - but nice products. read more

Food is great and customer service even better. Food was delivered fast and everything was fresh.

I have finally stopped using Good Eggs, somewhat regretfully as a number of products are good. However, the delivery service is negligent. I have had problems all along, but this time the driver chose to leave my delivery halfway up the very long staircase--just dropped it, and also did not pick up the recycling from the previous delivery. No text to inform me the delivery had been made and left in an odd place. Maybe I will try again in a year to see if Good Eggs has gotten its act together. They need more staff and better driver education. I'm not holding my breath read more

Customer for life!!! Well, here it goes. Every order we have has been a mishap. From the delivery of an EMPTY box with a melted ice bag and nothing else, to the fish we received with an expired date that was not even on their web site. The melted ice creme, old dates on Batter Bakery brownies, items missing, terrible packing, egg nog ordered and creme received, rotten potatoes, moldy strawberries. I would just give them one star, but Carlos and Sebastian are always very kind when we call to complain. The drivers are good, as well. The packers need better training, and to have someone double check the orders. We are told all the complaints go to management and problems will be addressed, but this has been going on for over a year. read more

This place was so great, and then, after the last round of funding it became horrible. My last several orders were incorrect. In fact, my last order included chicken and asparagus, which were supposed to be dinner, and neither were included!!! Also, the produce was no longer fresh. It's such a shame that the hunger for expansion with these kinds of start-ups can ruin customer service. I waited a week for someone to get back to me regarding a mistake on an order. Have been using since I discovered them. Very fresh, high-quality food. On the pricey side but if you shop carefully & you don't get too many of their "artisan products", it's not much more than the grocery store. I guess this is a place for the privileged few who can afford them and/or have very specific dietary and social responsibility criteria. I found the quality of the produce no better or worse than the local farmers market (though Good Eggs is more expensive, the occasional caterpillar notwithstanding), the prepared foods from Mission Heirloom exorbitant and very underwhelming ($20 jar of stew for two). Grocery prices in general are hard for me to justify. However the service at Good Eggs is exceptional. read more
