Single smash with jalapeno & grilled onions
    Jaymie N.

Hi it's me again eating some GoOod BuNs ;) this time I took it to go. I called in and placed my order and I was able to pick it up within 15 mins. Awesome customer service as always btw. Today I ordered my usual single smash w/ onion and jalapeno, another single smash with grilled onions, fries, an order of corn ribs and chili cheese fries. Brother, my total wasn't even over $40 for all of that. Honestly, for the quality, taste and preparation this place offers, this is such a steal. Anywayyy, I took my dinner on a ~25min ride, took another 20 mins to situate my food to eat and guess what...the fries were still so crispy! Not one soggy fry in sight. Even the fries in the chili fries were crispy! Tbh, at this point , whenever I have a cheat day and if I crave a burger, I'm going here from now on.

I crave a smash burger here and there, because it's not always easy to get, and haven't tried any that was amazing. Wasn't craving it at this time, but we wanted something quick and easy before going to Knott's Berry Farm, and stopped here. I wasn't too hungry, so I ordered a Single Smash and added grilled onions and mushrooms. It was delicious. It came with a little side of corn ribs, which was also good. I had to text my bf about it to make him jealous. Everyone else got the Double Smash, and they all really liked the food, too.

    Comfort food!

This was SUCH a yummy spot to find in Buena Park!!! First of all, service was notably good! The guy that took our order checked in on us multiple times and was so wonderful. The burgers absolutely hit the spot. They are cooked to perfection with that crispy cheese that is to die for!! I also really loved the chili fries. The chili had such a good flavor. And anyone knows that good chili fries are ALL about the chili. Love that you can end the meal with some soft serve as well. Great spot!!

This was a new place for us, but I can say us fatties have already been back twice.. This is a true smash burger It was delicious. Patty had a nice crisp and they had the cheese on the grill too which added another crispy element to it. Decent sized burger. First time I just got a single with bacon and grilled onions. It was good but wasn't wow yet. LOVED the corn ribs, it's a little on the saltier side but the flavors made it not matter to me. My boyfriend got the good bun smash and loved it. Second time we came back, I got the good bun smash. Holy cow, def 10/10 recommend this. The environment is clean. Self serve, but the owner comes around and asks you how is everything a few times. I think he just really cares but it's also a (seems) new restaurant. Cute hole in the wall. The food is a little greasy but doesn't taste like it. This fatty ain't complaining because she finished it all.. Def coming back again!

Wagyu burger anyone? Weather you're an OC local or visiting Buena Park for one of the theme parks (Knotts Berry Farm just down the street) a pit stop at Good Buns is a worthwhile meal that packs huge flavor but doesn't take a huge bite out of your wallet. Drive into the plaza and parking is pretty easy. Each of my visits, typically between 4 and 7pm, parking has pretty much been available. Enter the glass doors and order at the counter. The cashier wasn't much for conversation, so rather than ask for his recommendations, the family and I rolled the dice. Menu is pretty small so it makes things simple. If you're looking for classic, backyard style lettuce and tomato type of burger, keep it moving, you won't find that at Good Buns. Savory and hearty, these burgers are built for you to enjoy life at the moment and apologize to your arteries later. Find yourself seating. Water is self serve, and you'll need to bus your tray once you're done. Mission accomplished. Now go get a gym membership, workout more, so you can come back often

Good Buns Smash - their signature double smash burger with all the fixin's and crispy cheese - yum!
    Phil C.

I've dined here a couple of times already, and it's been solid every time. The menu offering is small, with four burger options and a few add-ons depending on what you like. Also, a few sides and ice cream. The prices are reasonable and affordable. On my first visit, I ordered the Good Buns Smash (their signature burger), and it was massive. The crispy cheese was overflowing, and I barely finished the double-patty wagyu burger with fries. On my second visit, the wagyu burgers were calling my name. I got the single smash and added grilled onions. The melty and crispy edges of the cheese added a lot of flavor. It satisfied the burger cravings again. They also include a small Cajun corn rib with the burgers. A nice touch since I love corn. I also like the fries here; they come out hot and with a crispy coating. They also provide a small container of ranch, and you can grab some ketchup at the counter. For drinks, they offer a variety of canned and bottled options in the fridge next to the cashier. Since they have ice cream, maybe they can offer shakes in the future. Their main offering is wagyu beef in their smash burgers. Could I tell the difference from other quality ground beef? The patties had good flavor and seemed to have a higher fat ratio than the "regular" burger patties I've had. They are also well-seasoned, too. Overall, the burgers tasted great, and I'm a fan. The dining area is clean and spacious, and the staff have been kind and attentive. Checking in once in a while. There's a private parking lot for the group of businesses here. It can get packed during busy dining times.

New smash burger restauarant in Buena Park. Burgers were delicious! Got the double cheeseburger wagyu smash burger. The cheese was extra crispy and the ketchup mustardaise was a nice touch. The restaurant was clean, and had plenty of seats available. Staff was very friendly and informative. Would come again!

Delicious smash burgers, not for the faint of heart! Definitely a guilty pleasure to be enjoyed on occasion. The grilled corn was scrumptious and piping hot. The Single was more than enough for me, but the Good Buns was surprisingly tasty - the jalapenos added a nice bite (not overly spicy). Service was super friendly and very fast. The facility was clean and there's plenty of parking.

Fantastic smash burger spot in Buena Park! It's a fresh, clean place serving a menu focused on burgers and ice cream - that's how you know it's good. I really hope more Yelpers give this place a try. There weren't many customers when I went, and I think they deserve more business. I got the single smash burger and it was out of this world. The flavor, cheesiness, and tangy mustard sauce pulled everything together. I felt like it didn't need add-ons. For example, I tried the chili and thought it didn't really elevate the experience. Each burger came with a corn rib, and it was delicious too. Lastly, I also had their side of fries (portion is single serving), but the quality was amazing - crispy, thick, and textured. Best part about it all is that the price was affordable. The service was great! The food came out quick and we were asked 1-2x if we needed any additional things. Water and utensils is self-serve. The ambiance inside looked new and clean. The restroom was surprisingly impressive. Overall, this is a solid burger place. I'll definitely come back if I'm ever craving a smash burger.

Found this place via Yelp (thanks, Yelpers!). It's a small, clean restaurant with a simple menu. We got two Single Smash burgers and one Good Buns Smash. All were delicious - the buns were great, the burger patty flavorful, and we enjoyed the smashed cheese with crispy edges. The little riblet of seasoned corn was also great! 5/5. We loved the food, the service was good, and the restaurant was clean and played good music (noted by my kid). We'll definitely be back! Suggestions for menu adds: Cheesy fries (cheese sauce), milkshakes, fried zucchini and fountain drinks

The ambiance was very welcoming and the restaurant had some cool decor of cars. I was greeted right away and asked if It was my first time, and the gentlemen at time right away assisted me by explaining the menu, which I always appreciate. Honestly forgot the name of what I ordered but it was double smash burger with some jalapeños and really nice grilled cheese crust! I also paired it with the chili fires and Diet Coke haha. Overall it was my first time having a smash burger in general and good buns didn't disappoint. Define left a really great first time impression! So at this point this my standard of good smash burger. 8.5 out 10 experience for me. I'll would come back and recommend this place to my friends and family. Thank you!

    What's WAGYU with you?
    Julie L.

I have been obsess about smashed burgers lately and when my lunch date said it was my choice, I consulted Yelp! Good buns intrigued me with their wagyu patties. I'll bite...literally! :) They've been open 1 month and are tucked in the plaza behind the giant Chase bank caddy corner from Knotts. The two parking lots do not connect unfortunately so know it's a sharp right if you're coming from the Buena Park mall side; east. I got the $5.95 single smash with $0.50 extra grilled onions and the $6.50 gravy fries. My friend got the $8.95 chili smash (single smash with chili). The crispy lacy cheese around the patty was insane. The juiciness of the wagyu patty, soft bite into the brioche bun, light handed sauce, and melted cheese was the perfect first bite. While chewing on said bite, I was already thinking of when I'd be back again. Fries were crisp and the gravy was savory and hot. I got them thinking of poutine and albeit there were no curds, it was hitting that craving. Owner was very polite, establishment was spotless, music was upbeat, and the food was amazing. Couldn't have asked for anything more...other than foot traffic(?) I will be absolutely heartbroken if they do not become a permanent fixture in the plaza. Highly recommend if you're in the area looking for a top quality burger spot for a very reasonable cost. 6 stars if I could!

When we left there were quite a few people that have come in after us. There's not a whole lot to the place. It looks like it used to be an old Taco Bell or something. There's also covered patio seating out front. There our menu screens that span above the entire counter with everything from Mexican food to breakfasts to burgers. They have a soda machine and also a machine with some aguas frescas. There is something here for everybody! We ordered a Fat Boy Burger, a quarter pound burger meal with fries, and a ground beef taco. I love ground beef tacos so I'll always order one if there's one on the menu just to try it. The burgers were good - - topped with cheese, lettuce, onion, and thousand Island dressing. The ground beef taco tasted very much like a Del Taco taco. The fries are those chunkier fries. All in all, the food was good. Someone came in after us and ordered the fried chicken meal and it looked so good, and another person ordered a breakfast that also looked pretty good. It's a cute place and I do like to support local small business. I may be back here.

When I arrived, I politely greeted the employee at the counter with "Happy Holidays" and placed a very simple order: a chicken sandwich with no butter, no grease, no mayonnaise -- completely dry. Despite clearly explaining this, I was served a sandwich loaded with grease, butter, and mayonnaise. I honestly don't know if this was done intentionally or due to a complete lack of understanding of basic English, but it was unacceptable. I also ordered French fries, which arrived cold, as if they had been sitting out for a long time. I politely returned them and asked for a fresh order. What I received instead were refried French fries, which is clearly visible in the photo I am posting. This is completely unacceptable from any restaurant, let alone a well-known chain. To make matters worse, the entire restaurant was filthy. The bathroom was extremely dirty, there were no paper towels, and overall the place appeared neglected and unsanitary. This experience reflects ignorance, negligence, and poor management. I will never return to this location, and I truly hope this review reaches management so they can see how badly this place is being run and take immediate corrective action before it continues to deteriorate further. Very disappointing.

It was a quiet Sunday around 3 PM, and we were the only patrons in sight. Checking Yelp beforehand had been a bit of a letdown, as their menu featured items they no longer offer. No links were available either. We ordered half a pound of pulled pork, half a pound of brisket, and four pieces of cornbread--all priced reasonably. Their tap selection turned out to be decent. The Cali Squeeze Blood Orange was a standout, and they also seemed to carry Firestone Walker products, including 805. The staff were friendly and responsive, which was refreshing. While the brisket had cooled by the time we got home, it was still tender and flavorful--just like the pulled pork. The real surprise? The chimichurri that accompanied the brisket--an unexpected and delightful touch. Overall, I'd rate the experience as average.
