Went in on a Tuesday for lunch. This place is very clean with heavy stainless steel tables and those hard rubber chairs that I find surprisingly comfortable. The bathroom is very comfy and I enjoyed the decorations. The cashier, who I am guessing might be the owner, is very friendly and attentive. Water cups are available to the left. Food came out and I started eating hot crispy fries to some kind of jazz funk. My mom had the single smash burger and finished it. I had a loaded single smash, which was great, though a bit on the sour side, if you want to customize that. I like crispy things, so i would go here again. read more

Stopped by Wednesday evening for a quick bite after an afternoon at Knotts. Place was clean and roomy. The young gentleman working the front counter was amazing. Polite, welcoming, helpful and friendly. Could not have asked for a better experience on that end. The food itself is quite good and made with quality ingredients. I got the Good Buns Double Smash the meat definitely had that rich luxurious mouth feel (fatty but overly greasy). Good but could've used a touch of salt though. The bun, jalapeños and grilled cheese skirt all worked together well. Spread appears to have some whole grain mustard... decent but fairly standard. All in all it was a good experience. Maybe ask for a sprinkle of salt to your burger to take it to the next level. Definitely willing to try again with that adjustment. read more

It's gud af!!! Ok, so I came here cuz I was in the mood for a gud burger place. So here I am, stuffed to the brim full of WAGYU meat. That's right, wagyu meat. It's hard to find a better place to eat a gud burger. Service 5/5! Food 5/5! Inside 5/5! Honestly a gud restaurant. I want to shake the owner's hand personally. (lol) I will be coming back! We came in and it was almost closing time. I felt like a asshat for doing that 35 minutes before they closed. The cashier was like no problem. Never been here before and he helped everyone make their choices. Hands down burgers were spot on. You have to love a good smash burger. Fries and the bonus corn niblet were amazing. While we're waiting another group came in even later than we had. Super clean and nice spot. Wish their sodas were fountain, but that's alright. A must check out if you're in the area or just out looking for a new place to try than the normal options. For sure will be back and definitely getting a side of the corn ribs. read more

Came here in the afternoon and it was empty. I ordered the Double Smash and added bacon and mushrooms which was $3 dollars extra. There's no combo meals so I had to buy fries separately and I got a Mexican Coke since there's nos fountain drinks. It was good but I thought it was alright. I think I should've got the single because the meat was overpowering the rest, but it was still good. read more

Wagyu smash burgers. Who wouldn't?? We got one burger and a side of chili fries, and I have to say, that is MORE than enough for two people. One burger is large enough, and oily enough (more on that later), to share between two people. The Good Buns Smash burger itself is substantial. Caramelized onions, bacon, jalapenos, spread - all savory and all so good. The chili fries were good. Chili and beans + fat fries... definitely a delicious addition to your cheat meal. Because let's face it, this is a CHEAT meal. The one issue I have as a consumer is that the food is SO heavy. Wagyu itself is fatty, and that gets all over - everywhere. This is no surprise. I just struggle with it because I like to frequent places that I like, but after eating this... I think I'm good for the next month or two. But that's a me problem and not a Good Buns problem. The cashier was patient and helpful, and answered our questions with no issue. It was a nice surprise seeing a corn rib thrown in as well! Yelp Adventures 2026 - 4 of ?? read more

Good Buns is an awesome find! Ordered the cheeseburger with the crispy grilled cheese, and it was incredible. The combination of the soft, tender bun, juicy Wagyu smashed beef patty with their signature spread, onions, and that perfect mix of crispy and melted cheese hit all the right marks. Best of all, even with all those layers, the burger stayed together cleanly--nothing fell apart. The space is on the smaller side, but we had no trouble grabbing a table. Friendly staff and genuinely unique, delicious burgers. I'll definitely be bringing my coworkers back with me next time! read more

This restaurant is located in a small plaza with limited parking lot, but I had no trouble finding a spot. The menu is simple and the staff was welcoming. My food took about 20-25 minutes to come out. There were about 6-7 tables inside. Everything was clean and well maintained, including the restroom. I appreciated the self-serve water station. Instead of a soda fountain, they offer a selection of bottled and canned drinks for purchase. As for the food, Good Buns Smash was tasty, though a little saltier than I prefer. The Chili Fries were okay. Overall, a pleasant experience with friendly service and a clean comfortable atmosphere. 3.5/5 read more

Food: 4.7/5 The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the single smash which came with brioche bun, wagyu patty, cheese and their sauce. I thought the flavors mixed perfectly and the bun was soft. It tasted fresh and i truly could not get enough of it. The corn ribs were packed with flavor, not a single crevice was left out. Our food also came with free ranch which was really nice. My only complaint was the patty was too thin, it was a bit hard to really appreciate it but overall still good. Service: 5/5 I believe the business owner was the one who took our orders and he was very kind and helpful. He gave us recommendations and told us their signature fish which was the good buns smash. You can tell he really cares about the customers and even goes out of his way to make conversation and handed us the food himself. Ambiance: 5/5 The restaurant's aesthetic is very cute, your typical burger corner store with a modern twist. I will say this place is verryyy clean and their bathroom is iconic. Somewhat limited seating but I would say it's decent for the size of the place. read more

Im a bit torn about this place. We've tried it twice now and I think we will try one more time but essentially, the place is good. Not great but still good. We got the burgers and fries both times. Fries are great, no complaints. BURGERS tho. For whatever the reason, the past two times we ordered, the burgers were dry. Odd because it should be wagyu, right? I also feel like the amount of sauce in the dry burher doesnt help either. The second time, we asked for extra sauce on the side and had to add it ourselves and it was much better. Gotta try a third time and maybe ill change my mind but for now, 3/5. Service is great and quick though, clean inside! read more

Good new burger spot, ordered a good buns smash burger which had like cucumber and some other toppings, the cheese crusted around the burger was a nice touch. I tried to order a chili cheeseburger but came the last half hour and they said they ran out. Gf got the regular smash burger. We shared the gravy fries which were great and a side of the corn ribs, they give you ALOT of corn even sharing I was like "this is so much corn" which also came seasoned which is a nice touch. Even though they didn't close for another 20+ minutes after ordering the staff very bluntly told us "you gotta take it to go" honestly we could've enjoyed our meal easily within 10-15 minutes and been done before they closed. Considering this was my first visit here it was kinda rude and inconsiderate that they basically said take your food and leave; if it was like 5-10 mins to closing I could see this.... They still had a half hour to go when we placed our order. Decent food but no outside seating and the quick dismissal of a first time visitor / being told to eat anywhere but there has me hesitant to rush back. Worth a try but come early so they aren't rude to you is my advice read more

Hi it's me again eating some GoOod BuNs ;) this time I took it to go. I called in and placed my order and I was able to pick it up within 15 mins. Awesome customer service as always btw. Today I ordered my usual single smash w/ onion and jalapeno, another single smash with grilled onions, fries, an order of corn ribs and chili cheese fries. Brother, my total wasn't even over $40 for all of that. Honestly, for the quality, taste and preparation this place offers, this is such a steal. Anywayyy, I took my dinner on a ~25min ride, took another 20 mins to situate my food to eat and guess what...the fries were still so crispy! Not one soggy fry in sight. Even the fries in the chili fries were crispy! Tbh, at this point , whenever I have a cheat day and if I crave a burger, I'm going here from now on. read more

Good Buns - Single smash with jalapeno & grilled onions - Burgers Near Me - Buena Park, California

Great burgers! Possibly one of my top smash burger places. I love that the buns are substantial, however not over powering over the smash wagyu patty. We came on a Saturday around 11:30 and had no problem finding a seat/ordering. I got the single smash (without cheese - cause I'm lactose), but added grilled onions & jalapeños. My friend got the good buns smash with everything on it. The crispy cheese looked so good though! Both burgers came with 1 corn rib- which was amazing! We ordered a side of fries and split it ourselves. The fries were crispy with a great bite. Plus is that they have a water filter with self-service water. I can't wait to come back to try the chili. Service was nice and bathroom was very clean - great plus. Parking: shared lot with smaller spots read more

After spending an afternoon at Knott's, we were tired and famished. Food this place as it is literally a few blocks away from the park. Ordered a smash burger with grilled onions and bacon. Food came out quick and has a nice cheese skirt on it. Nice and crunchy. Also it came with a corn rib. Not something I've had before as a side for a burger, but it was nice and something different to have as a side. Burger was kinda greasy but I think it was from the grilled onions I ordered as an add on. Would definitely eat here again and highly recommend it as a place to try especially if you need a spot to grub at after a day at knotts. read more

Good Buns - Single smash burger - Burgers Near Me - Buena Park, California

I've dined here a couple of times already, and it's been solid every time. The menu offering is small, with four burger options and a few add-ons depending on what you like. Also, a few sides and ice cream. The prices are reasonable and affordable. On my first visit, I ordered the Good Buns Smash (their signature burger), and it was massive. The crispy cheese was overflowing, and I barely finished the double-patty wagyu burger with fries. On my second visit, the wagyu burgers were calling my name. I got the single smash and added grilled onions. The melty and crispy edges of the cheese added a lot of flavor. It satisfied the burger cravings again. They also include a small Cajun corn rib with the burgers. A nice touch since I love corn. I also like the fries here; they come out hot and with a crispy coating. They also provide a small container of ranch, and you can grab some ketchup at the counter. For drinks, they offer a variety of canned and bottled options in the fridge next to the cashier. Since they have ice cream, maybe they can offer shakes in the future. Their main offering is wagyu beef in their smash burgers. Could I tell the difference from other quality ground beef? The patties had good flavor and seemed to have a higher fat ratio than the "regular" burger patties I've had. They are also well-seasoned, too. Overall, the burgers tasted great, and I'm a fan. The dining area is clean and spacious, and the staff have been kind and attentive. Checking in once in a while. There's a private parking lot for the group of businesses here. It can get packed during busy dining times. read more

This was a new place for us, but I can say us fatties have already been back twice.. This is a true smash burger It was delicious. Patty had a nice crisp and they had the cheese on the grill too which added another crispy element to it. Decent sized burger. First time I just got a single with bacon and grilled onions. It was good but wasn't wow yet. LOVED the corn ribs, it's a little on the saltier side but the flavors made it not matter to me. My boyfriend got the good bun smash and loved it. Second time we came back, I got the good bun smash. Holy cow, def 10/10 recommend this. The environment is clean. Self serve, but the owner comes around and asks you how is everything a few times. I think he just really cares but it's also a (seems) new restaurant. Cute hole in the wall. The food is a little greasy but doesn't taste like it. This fatty ain't complaining because she finished it all.. Def coming back again! read more

I tried this place recently as it's right by my house and found an Instagram reel hyping it up. The place itself is small but I get food at the other places around it a decent amount, so I thought it was time to give it a shot. The double smash was great; I added grilled onions and bacon and it made it really flavorful. The small corn was something wasn't expecting but it was a nice little surprise. The burger was quite greasy though, as the oil seeped thru the paper bag they gave it in. Next time I wanna try some of their fries! I would go again for a quick fix. read more

Delicious smash burgers, not for the faint of heart! Definitely a guilty pleasure to be enjoyed on occasion. The grilled corn was scrumptious and piping hot. Wagyu burger anyone? Weather you're an OC local or visiting Buena Park for one of the theme parks (Knotts Berry Farm just down the street) a pit stop at Good Buns is a worthwhile meal that packs huge flavor but doesn't take a huge bite out of your wallet. Drive into the plaza and parking is pretty easy. Each of my visits, typically between 4 and 7pm, parking has pretty much been available. Enter the glass doors and order at the counter. The cashier wasn't much for conversation, so rather than ask for his recommendations, the family and I rolled the dice. Menu is pretty small so it makes things simple. If you're looking for classic, backyard style lettuce and tomato type of burger, keep it moving, you won't find that at Good Buns. Savory and hearty, these burgers are built for you to enjoy life at the moment and apologize to your arteries later. Find yourself seating. Water is self serve, and you'll need to bus your tray once you're done. Mission accomplished. Now go get a gym membership, workout more, so you can come back often read more

Fantastic smash burger spot in Buena Park! It's a fresh, clean place serving a menu focused on burgers and ice cream - that's how you know it's good. I really hope more Yelpers give this place a try. There weren't many customers when I went, and I think they deserve more business. I got the single smash burger and it was out of this world. The flavor, cheesiness, and tangy mustard sauce pulled everything together. I felt like it didn't need add-ons. For example, I tried the chili and thought it didn't really elevate the experience. Each burger came with a corn rib, and it was delicious too. Lastly, I also had their side of fries (portion is single serving), but the quality was amazing - crispy, thick, and textured. Best part about it all is that the price was affordable. The service was great! The food came out quick and we were asked 1-2x if we needed any additional things. Water and utensils is self-serve. The ambiance inside looked new and clean. The restroom was surprisingly impressive. Overall, this is a solid burger place. I'll definitely come back if I'm ever craving a smash burger. read more

I absolutely loved the vibe here! The employees were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Their take on the corn was delicious--it was sweet, juicy, and full of flavor. The interior is such a cool concept. I haven't seen a smash burger spot with a classic car theme before, and the two vintage cars displayed out front are such a unique touch. I'm not sure if they're just for display, but they definitely add to the atmosphere. The burger was amazing! The bun was soft and fresh, and everything tasted great. The prices are also very reasonable for the quality and portion you get. At a lot of smash burger places, you end up paying more for a burger with barely any meat. Here, you get a satisfying burger that's absolutely worth the price. I'll definitely be coming back! read more

Good Buns - Fries with double meat smashed burger and corn - Burgers Near Me - Buena Park, California

I have been obsess about smashed burgers lately and when my lunch date said it was my choice, I consulted Yelp! Good buns intrigued me with their wagyu patties. I'll bite...literally! :) They've been open 1 month and are tucked in the plaza behind the giant Chase bank caddy corner from Knotts. The two parking lots do not connect unfortunately so know it's a sharp right if you're coming from the Buena Park mall side; east. I got the $5.95 single smash with $0.50 extra grilled onions and the $6.50 gravy fries. My friend got the $8.95 chili smash (single smash with chili). The crispy lacy cheese around the patty was insane. The juiciness of the wagyu patty, soft bite into the brioche bun, light handed sauce, and melted cheese was the perfect first bite. While chewing on said bite, I was already thinking of when I'd be back again. Fries were crisp and the gravy was savory and hot. I got them thinking of poutine and albeit there were no curds, it was hitting that craving. Owner was very polite, establishment was spotless, music was upbeat, and the food was amazing. Couldn't have asked for anything more...other than foot traffic(?) I will be absolutely heartbroken if they do not become a permanent fixture in the plaza. Highly recommend if you're in the area looking for a top quality burger spot for a very reasonable cost. 6 stars if I could! read more

Found this place via Yelp (thanks, Yelpers!). It's a small, clean restaurant with a simple menu. We got two Single Smash burgers and one Good Buns Smash. I love a good burger, so of course I would be excited to find this place! Good Buns is small but mighty, tucked into a small strip within walking distance of Knott's Berry Farm. They have a very short and simple menu, but what they do is done so well! First of all, service is SUPER friendly. The man who took my order was so nice, so helpful, and he made a recommendation that I really enjoyed. Inside is clean, plenty of seating, and they have some cute cactus decorations. There is a restroom hidden way in the back, almost easy to miss! I ordered the single smash burger, with grilled onions and pickles added. I also ordered a side of fries. Food was cooked fresh to order, and the fries were hot and crispy! Fries are the crispy "battered" style, and were delicious dipped in ranch. My order came with a surprise little corn rib, which was hot, delicious, and we'll seasoned. They have these on the menu as a side as well, so this is like a little preview. Grab an order to share! Or....not. They might be too delicious to share. The burger was the star of the show, of course! The bun was warm and soft. The patty was nice and thin, topped with a thin crispy melted cheese layer. Pickles taste housemade, and the onions were a great addition. This also comes with a special sauce, which is different than others I have had. This one is made with a grainy/seedy mustard. I'll be honest, I'm not very adventurous with mustard. But this sauce worked well on the burger! When I received my order, the man at the counter offered me a side of ranch and recommended to put a little bit on the burger. A great recommendation, as it was delicious! I mostly enjoyed dipping my fries in the ranch. Everything was so delicious and staff were so friendly. Prices are also very reasonable, at almost $6 for the burger. Good Buns seems like a new spot. Gave it a try and was pleasantly surprised. The Good Buns Smash (double wagyu patties with bacon) was well seasoned and easily one of the better smash burgers I've had. Only minor preference would be having jalapeños and pickles on the side. The staff and owner were super organized and friendly. There's a restroom for customers that requires a code. I got the Good Buns smash burger with all the works. The cheese skirt is what makes it stand out, adding a crispy bite to an otherwise soft burger. The wagyu patties were meaty with a satisfying amount of fat and greasiness. The brioche buns were good quality and toasted, but a bit too squished for my taste; I like my buns to feel like actual buns. Ketchup, ranch, and special sauce available if requested. I loved the small bit of corn on the side. The fries were extremely crispy, probably lightly coated with flour to keep that crunch. I'd come back when I'm feeling a hearty burger. read more

Was so hyped to try this place after seeing it recommended by a ton of people on social media and was surprisingly a little disappointed only in the fact that they used pre-shredded cheese on their smash burgers that was a major buzz kill for me just because it was super greasy super oily and overpowered the really good quality tasting beef that they use. Would I give them another try? Sure but probably with no cheese as much as I prefer a cheeseburger over a hamburger. Service was awesome. Price point was good. Just a really sloppy oily cheesy melting burger that was not the business. read more
