    Single Smash add Grilled Onion
    Deanne S.

I must say that these wagyu smash burgers were one of the best that I ever had!! The space was open and very clean! We made our way to place our order with the cashier and he recommended some things. He was very friendly and helpful. We ordered a good smash burger, a single smash add-onions, a double smash-add bacon, and fries with half cheese and gravy on the side. The wagyu burgers looked perfect!! Each burger came with a little corn riblet that was seasoned perfectly. The meat was cripsy and the cheese was a thin a crispy lace hanging over the burgers! Its was delicious! The gravy fries were also very good! They have soft serve ice cream for dessert, but we were so stuffed. Definitely would recommend this burger spot! I cant wait to go back and try their ice cream too! 10/10

This restaurant is located in a small plaza with limited parking lot, but I had no trouble finding a spot. The menu is simple and the staff was welcoming. My food took about 20-25 minutes to come out. There were about 6-7 tables inside. Everything was clean and well maintained, including the restroom. I appreciated the self-serve water station. Instead of a soda fountain, they offer a selection of bottled and canned drinks for purchase. As for the food, Good Buns Smash was tasty, though a little saltier than I prefer. The Chili Fries were okay. Overall, a pleasant experience with friendly service and a clean comfortable atmosphere. 3.5/5

Food: 4.7/5 The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the single smash which came with brioche bun, wagyu patty, cheese and their sauce. I thought the flavors mixed perfectly and the bun was soft. It tasted fresh and i truly could not get enough of it. The corn ribs were packed with flavor, not a single crevice was left out. Our food also came with free ranch which was really nice. My only complaint was the patty was too thin, it was a bit hard to really appreciate it but overall still good. Service: 5/5 I believe the business owner was the one who took our orders and he was very kind and helpful. He gave us recommendations and told us their signature fish which was the good buns smash. You can tell he really cares about the customers and even goes out of his way to make conversation and handed us the food himself. Ambiance: 5/5 The restaurant's aesthetic is very cute, your typical burger corner store with a modern twist. I will say this place is verryyy clean and their bathroom is iconic. Somewhat limited seating but I would say it's decent for the size of the place.

A perfectly grilled, double cheeseburger topped with savory bacon and earthy sautéed mushrooms, crispy cheese skirt and a toasted bun.

If you're looking for a top-tier burger experience, Good Buns is the place to be. The cashier had great customer service, and the cooks definitely delivered an amazing burger. As you can see in photo, the burger is on another level. That crispy cheese skirt and the perfectly toasted bun look just as incredible as they tasted. If you're a fan of a well-crafted, indulgent burger, you have to check this spot out!

Great burgers! Possibly one of my top smash burger places. I love that the buns are substantial, however not over powering over the smash wagyu patty. We came on a Saturday around 11:30 and had no problem finding a seat/ordering. I got the single smash (without cheese - cause I'm lactose), but added grilled onions & jalapeños. My friend got the good buns smash with everything on it. The crispy cheese looked so good though! Both burgers came with 1 corn rib- which was amazing! We ordered a side of fries and split it ourselves. The fries were crispy with a great bite. Plus is that they have a water filter with self-service water. I can't wait to come back to try the chili. Service was nice and bathroom was very clean - great plus. Parking: shared lot with smaller spots

Hi it's me again eating some GoOod BuNs ;) this time I took it to go. I called in and placed my order and I was able to pick it up within 15 mins. Awesome customer service as always btw. Today I ordered my usual single smash w/ onion and jalapeno, another single smash with grilled onions, fries, an order of corn ribs and chili cheese fries. Brother, my total wasn't even over $40 for all of that. Honestly, for the quality, taste and preparation this place offers, this is such a steal. Anywayyy, I took my dinner on a ~25min ride, took another 20 mins to situate my food to eat and guess what...the fries were still so crispy! Not one soggy fry in sight. Even the fries in the chili fries were crispy! Tbh, at this point , whenever I have a cheat day and if I crave a burger, I'm going here from now on.

    Comfort food!

This was SUCH a yummy spot to find in Buena Park!!! First of all, service was notably good! The guy that took our order checked in on us multiple times and was so wonderful. The burgers absolutely hit the spot. They are cooked to perfection with that crispy cheese that is to die for!! I also really loved the chili fries. The chili had such a good flavor. And anyone knows that good chili fries are ALL about the chili. Love that you can end the meal with some soft serve as well. Great spot!!

This was a new place for us, but I can say us fatties have already been back twice.. This is a true smash burger It was delicious. Patty had a nice crisp and they had the cheese on the grill too which added another crispy element to it. Decent sized burger. First time I just got a single with bacon and grilled onions. It was good but wasn't wow yet. LOVED the corn ribs, it's a little on the saltier side but the flavors made it not matter to me. My boyfriend got the good bun smash and loved it. Second time we came back, I got the good bun smash. Holy cow, def 10/10 recommend this. The environment is clean. Self serve, but the owner comes around and asks you how is everything a few times. I think he just really cares but it's also a (seems) new restaurant. Cute hole in the wall. The food is a little greasy but doesn't taste like it. This fatty ain't complaining because she finished it all.. Def coming back again!

Good Buns Smash - their signature double smash burger with all the fixin's and crispy cheese - yum!

I've dined here a couple of times already, and it's been solid every time. The menu offering is small, with four burger options and a few add-ons depending on what you like. Also, a few sides and ice cream. The prices are reasonable and affordable. On my first visit, I ordered the Good Buns Smash (their signature burger), and it was massive. The crispy cheese was overflowing, and I barely finished the double-patty wagyu burger with fries. On my second visit, the wagyu burgers were calling my name. I got the single smash and added grilled onions. The melty and crispy edges of the cheese added a lot of flavor. It satisfied the burger cravings again. They also include a small Cajun corn rib with the burgers. A nice touch since I love corn. I also like the fries here; they come out hot and with a crispy coating. They also provide a small container of ranch, and you can grab some ketchup at the counter. For drinks, they offer a variety of canned and bottled options in the fridge next to the cashier. Since they have ice cream, maybe they can offer shakes in the future. Their main offering is wagyu beef in their smash burgers. Could I tell the difference from other quality ground beef? The patties had good flavor and seemed to have a higher fat ratio than the "regular" burger patties I've had. They are also well-seasoned, too. Overall, the burgers tasted great, and I'm a fan. The dining area is clean and spacious, and the staff have been kind and attentive. Checking in once in a while. There's a private parking lot for the group of businesses here. It can get packed during busy dining times.

Wagyu burger anyone? Weather you're an OC local or visiting Buena Park for one of the theme parks (Knotts Berry Farm just down the street) a pit stop at Good Buns is a worthwhile meal that packs huge flavor but doesn't take a huge bite out of your wallet. Drive into the plaza and parking is pretty easy. Each of my visits, typically between 4 and 7pm, parking has pretty much been available. Enter the glass doors and order at the counter. The cashier wasn't much for conversation, so rather than ask for his recommendations, the family and I rolled the dice. Menu is pretty small so it makes things simple. If you're looking for classic, backyard style lettuce and tomato type of burger, keep it moving, you won't find that at Good Buns. Savory and hearty, these burgers are built for you to enjoy life at the moment and apologize to your arteries later. Find yourself seating. Water is self serve, and you'll need to bus your tray once you're done. Mission accomplished. Now go get a gym membership, workout more, so you can come back often

Saw this smash burger place open near by and I rushed to it. Burger - nice and thin patty with the fried cheese hanging out of it. The burger was okay. I feel like grilled onions and pickles should always be included in a smash burger and the fact the onions was 50 cents and pickles were 50 cents was kind of a bummer. Still think it shouldn't be a upsell. Fries - very delicious and crispy Drinks - no fountain drinks. You can buy can soda from the fridge but no ice sodas. Condiments- ketchup are packets. I paid an extra $1.50 for a bacon habanero jam hoping to enhance the burger but it didn't pair well with anything. Overall it's a clean nice enviroment, very simple and the owner is very friendly.

Delicious smash burgers, not for the faint of heart! Definitely a guilty pleasure to be enjoyed on occasion. The grilled corn was scrumptious and piping hot. The Single was more than enough for me, but the Good Buns was surprisingly tasty - the jalapenos added a nice bite (not overly spicy). Service was super friendly and very fast. The facility was clean and there's plenty of parking.

The color scheme is blue and white with cute little signs and pictures on the wall. It's got some booths and tables, and they still have up the social distancing dividers from The pandemic. There's also covered patio seating out front. There our menu screens that span above the entire counter with everything from Mexican food to breakfasts to burgers. They have a soda machine and also a machine with some aguas frescas. There is something here for everybody! We ordered a Fat Boy Burger, a quarter pound burger meal with fries, and a ground beef taco. I love ground beef tacos so I'll always order one if there's one on the menu just to try it. The burgers were good - - topped with cheese, lettuce, onion, and thousand Island dressing. The ground beef taco tasted very much like a Del Taco taco. The fries are those chunkier fries. All in all, the food was good. Someone came in after us and ordered the fried chicken meal and it looked so good, and another person ordered a breakfast that also looked pretty good. It's a cute place and I do like to support local small business. I may be back here.

From the jump, my friends and I felt so welcome, all thanks to our man Jake, who so attentively took our order. This man was such a vibe and provided top-tier customer service in spite of being short staffed. He always had a smile on this face and handled everything so well, especially the 11pm rush that came shortly after we ordered. I can write so much more about him, but he honestly set the stage for what I think of the best dining establishments I've ever been to. Shoutout Jake! The food? No notes. It was tasty, scrumptious, divine, exquisite, all of the above. That food was made with love and care -- shoutout to the kitchen staff! I got the crispy chicken sandwich and woah, what a revelation! Eggplant on the sandwich? Such a game changer, like some next level stuff here honestly. My friend got a burger and oh my god, I only had one bite, but it was honest to god one of the best burgers I've ever had in my life. My other friends got chicken tenders. Tender doesn't just describe the chicken but also the souls who prepared and served this amazing platter. They honestly put every other chicken tender I've had to shame, I'm afraid I won't ever have another chicken tender without comparing it to YoYos. Sides were scrumptious and the sauces that came with them were so good too. I don't know how they did it, but the soft drinks had something special too. Nothing disappointed, I'm telling you! I wish I took more photos of the food but it was just so good that I didn't have time for that. I had such an emotional experience eating here, and I wasn't under the influence or anything -- it was just that good! I could preach to the choir and write a whole song (maybe album) about how amazing my experience was here. It was so magical, I nearly cried thinking about how lucky I was to eat here and break bread with friends. I live in west LA and I would honestly drive however long it takes, even in traffic, just to eat here again. It was simply that good. It's one of those places that you just can't gatekeep because I honestly think a visit here would heal so many traumas and bad days. This was the perfect end to a day with friends, and I will be coming back sometime soon. You will not regret coming here, I guarantee it! If you do, I just think you're lying for clout because I firmly believe this place could not disappoint anyone! P.S. just in case I didn't highlight Jake enough, I need everyone to know that he is the man! The experience would be nothing if it weren't for him. P.S. again: if I were on death row or another situation with a "last meal" type of arrangement, YoYos would need to be a part of that final meal so that I could die so happy and enlightened

There was also standing water on the floor with no wet floor signs, barriers, or any warnings whatsoever. This was a clear slip-and-fall hazard in a busy restaurant. I calmly brought it to the attention of the manager on duty, Julie, and pointed out how dangerous it was--especially for guests using wheelchairs or with mobility needs, this was particularly concerning. Instead of addressing the problem, she dismissed it as "not a big deal," refused to complete any incident report, gave me a negative attitude with a mean facial expression, and then called security on me as if I was the problem. When the young security guard arrived, he asked for my ID. I politely refused and explained the situation calmly--he looked surprised but not defensive. I have photos documenting the ceiling leak, standing water, and lack of signage. This experience was disappointing and unsafe, especially from a hotel restaurant attached to a family theme park. Management should prioritize fixing hazards and training staff to handle legitimate guest concerns professionally rather than escalating them. I hope Knott's / Six Flags investigates and improves. This was my first time coming to this restaurant.

It was a quiet Sunday around 3 PM, and we were the only patrons in sight. Checking Yelp beforehand had been a bit of a letdown, as their menu featured items they no longer offer. No links were available either. We ordered half a pound of pulled pork, half a pound of brisket, and four pieces of cornbread--all priced reasonably. Their tap selection turned out to be decent. The Cali Squeeze Blood Orange was a standout, and they also seemed to carry Firestone Walker products, including 805. The staff were friendly and responsive, which was refreshing. While the brisket had cooled by the time we got home, it was still tender and flavorful--just like the pulled pork. The real surprise? The chimichurri that accompanied the brisket--an unexpected and delightful touch. Overall, I'd rate the experience as average. While it's clear they've got potential, a bit more effort could turn Wholly Smokes into a go-to spot. Leaning in on those small details would really elevate the experience.
