Staff are super attentive and nice, know my dogs Luna and Moody, take great care of them, they're always happy to go in, just waltz right in. Also good seeing consistent staff, same faces which was not the case at the previous place we used. It's all indoor, separated by weight which is also one of the best parts of Aries. Currently only open Tuesday through Friday likely due to staffing. Wish they were open more days! They are a little more expensive than the previous place we used, but worth it. Kong meal/snack is extra or included however you wanna look at it. They do have packages to bring the cost down, pay more up front for multiple days. I think comes out to about $27 a day with the package. They do have an extensive weeding out process which is good because it ensures only quality dogs are there, make sure they get along with other dogs, do ok in the kennel for a period of time. They also require vaccinations and tick/flea prevention. Notes I took when considering them v. Others: * Fecal exam giardia, parasites and coccidia within last 6-8 months * Flea and tick treatment, natural essential oils too ok * Intro 15 min then 1 hr later day free, T-F 830-1030 or 130-330 * hours: 7-1115, crate till 1245, back out till 415 then crated until end of day 6 * $1 per meal regardless if bring food or not * All indoor * No vet on call but has set up with vet nearby * No overnight * Grooming $45-55 * Walk in daycare * $30 full day * Buy 9 get 1 free or buy 17 get 3 free non-refundable Hope this helps other neurotic pet parents like me! Kirsten helped us see that our dog did seem to have some issues with anxiety which we are working on addressing. I love that her techniques require patience and not the use of choke chains and harsh techniques used by other trainers in the past. She's had to work on the people working with the dog, aka us. It took awhile to get an appointment with her. She spent above and beyond the time we were charged for, because we needed it. She has a true gift for working with dogs and the people that come with them. Looking forward to working with her more in the future.

I wanted to hear from someone who knew my struggle, man. The struggle of owning a dog that everyone else thinks is a bad animal. The struggle of a dog who gets spooked by strangers, strange dogs, strange sounds, strange places. It's not her fault, it's how she's wired, and as Amanda explained, I could, over time, rewire her. That's what we've been doing over the last five lessons; No shock collars, no strict scolding, just a slow reintroduction to the world she'd learned to fear. Lots of teensy, tiny treats, plenty of praise, and an easing of the natural world around her. Five lessons and we're in a spot where I'm feeling ready to send Tillie to group classes, to socialize her and improve her confidence so that, someday, everyone else will know just how incredibly sweet and loving she is.
