Came to pick up a couple things at one of my favorite stores HMART. If you're a big fan of Korean Fried Chicken, Goobne Chicken is a must try in the food court. We got a 20 piece chicken bone in combo which adds a side & 2 drinks. The server was so patient with soo many choices on the menu! The chicken wings were delicious. Crispy on the outside juicy on the inside. Best of all they a prepared to order. Cannot wait to stop buy again

GCW is in the food hall at H Mart at Beach, just South of the 405. They specialize is roasted & fried chicken. However, they also have fuzn items like galbi pizza. We ordered 20 wings: 10 sweet & spicy, and 10 of another flavor. We both noticed that the wings had a nice fry job despite not being battered, and they were moist & meaty. Nonetheless, I would have liked more heat with my wings. The lady who took our order was super friendly & nice, and our order came out fairly quickly. As I mentioned in my other review, the food hall area is large and clean. No carts are allowed, that leads to more space to walk around. I would definitely return to GCW the next time I am at H Mart. There are a number of other eateries in the food hall I would like to try also like Korean street dogs, noodles and an egg sando place.

We checked out Goobne Chicken, a Korean chain known for oven-roasted chicken (they proudly advertise that they don't fry anything - healthier vibes!). The location isn't the best because it's tucked in the corner right next to the restroom in the food hall of H mart Westminster but Goobne is actually a pretty big name in Korea, especially around Jeollanam-do and Jeju. Their U.S. expansion started in Texas, and California now has about five locations. I tried the chicken skewers, and they were pretty good. Lighter flavor, not greasy, and definitely on the healthier side compared to typical Korean fried chicken spots. Overall, a nice option if you want Korean chicken without the deep-fried guilt.

Located inside the Hmart supermarket's food court. I thought it was fried chicken but actually roasted chicken. Picked up 10 pcs garlic soy chicken wings $20. It was very flavorful and juicy. I waited about 20 mins for my order. We came on Sunday night around 6pm and were able to find parking and a table to sit. Definitely will come back to try out the other menu items.

Good, healthier alternative to fried chicken, but I love fried chicken so much, this did not fulfill the craving, LOL. I got the sweet soy flavor and it was really good. Although oven-roasted, it did have a slight crisp to them, but it just doesn't hit the same as a FRIED chicken. It is also quite pricey for the amount that you get... cashier at the front was super nice though and food came out pretty fast. Not sure if I would try it again, but I also saw they had pizza and the people of Yelp are raving about it, so maybe I will try that next time!

Goobne Chicken makes the best Korean oven roasted wings. Not fried! So if you are craving wings but want a healthier option then this is for you. Goobne is a small little spot tucked in the corner spot located in Hmart. They have wings in a variety of different sauces. I went with their volcano sauce which was described to me by their worker as a similar budak spicy flavor but less spicy. She was absolutely right. It was also on the sweeter side which I didn't mind but I do want to try their other flavors. The chicken was moist and perfectly cooked. It did take some time to make but worth the wait. Besides their seven different flavors of wings they also have pizza, onion rings, fries, baguette bowl, and rice bowls. Pricing was decent and my only regret was not ordering more.

Korean fried chicken without the deep fry! Their oven - roasted chicken is crispy, tender, and so delicious. And it's not just chicken on the menu -- they also have rice bowls, pizzas, salads, fries, and more. Everything was very flavorful.

This location is inside of a newly constructed and very large Hmart. This is the food court where you can grab lots of other food too! Service is fast and you are given a buzzer to let you know when the food is ready. Do note that the chicken here is oven roasted. This IS healthier but in my opinion, not as tasty. I do not get the satisfying crunch I get at BBQ or Pelicana. Because I prefer the crisp, I'll be going back for BBQ or Pelicana chicken.

If you want water, ask for a cup and fill it here.

These are not double fried chicken. These are oven roasted chicken. We got volcano flavor and Soy garlic flavor then added waffle fries. My fiancé said it reminds him of Pizza Hut wings. I loved the waffle fries because it had a hint of honey sweetness. The wait was about 20 minutes, they give you a beeper so you can walk around the area until it beeps. There are also mini claw machines to keep the kids or adults busy. If you want water, any of the vendors will give you an empty cup and you would fill it up at the water fountain by the restrooms which is next door to this chicken place.

Goobne Chicken is know for its oven roasted, non fried chicken. The chicken is flavorful, juicy, and a healthier alternative to traditional deep-fried Korean chicken. Popular flavors include Soy Garlic, Galbi and Honey Butter Crispy. I also love the Galbi Chicken. The Soy Garlic Wings have a sweet and savory glaze. The Galbi wings are sweet and Smokey. The Honey Butter wings have a sweet and savory dry rub. My personal favorite is the Honey Butter. The chicken is crispy and pairs well with the buttery baguette bowl. They also serve Korean oven baked pizza and chicken rice bowl. I love their soft pizza dough. Goobne Chicken is a popular choice for those seeking a high quality, healthier version of Korean fried chicken. Goobne Chicken inside H Mart Westminster -- 16450 Beach Blvd. Westminster, CA 92683

The chicken here was crispy and saucy. Service was really good. Staff were nice and friendly. They are located in the H mart. Lots of seating available inside the food hall. They are giving out a $10 of coupon on your orders!

Stopped by this weekend during an H Mart run and decided to give this place a try. It was a perfect for a casual meal. The chicken was fried fresh, so there was about a 20-minute wait, but it felt reasonable knowing it was made to order. The service was friendly and patient throughout. We ordered two types of chicken--while the original had no sauce and was a bit plain for our taste, the sauced options were the clear favorites among our group, adding more flavor and appeal.

10 piece wing - this for $24? Not worth it to me.

Had 10 piece meal, half volcano and half crispy sesame or something. Chicken was ok but nothing special. Volcano should be spicier. For the price, I'd rather get wingstop and get fries, a drink and delicious ranch. Girl neglected to tell us there was a charge for splitting the 10 wings into 2 flavors so 10 wings ended up being $24 before tax... meh. Like others, it's in a food court so not much to say about ambiance.

Meeting spot: H-Mart for us! So yummy for these foodies!

The food was great as always but we walked in and asked to order food to go and was told to wait by the barrels. We waited there while multiple employees looked at us and walked past without saying anything. Not a big deal i get it they were busy. But after a while i asked someone if we could order and she took our order immediately. We ordered a slice of cheese, slice of pepperoni and mozzarella sticks. We got the slice of cheese then the mozzarella sticks 5 minutes later then i literally started a timer and got the slice of "pepperoni" 14 minutes AFTER the mozzarella sticks. The cheese slice was already cold at that point. When i asked how long the pepperoni slice was going to take the gentleman was nice and said "they may of had to make a new pepperoni pizza" that's fine i just want it all to come out hot and generally around the same time. Then when he gave us our pepperoni slice we were so over waiting so long we didn't check the box and when we got home it was just a cheese slice no pepperoni... will not be back to this location. Been wanting to come here for quite a while and it did not disappoint. Only wish we came sooner…read more Decided to sit in for the Caesar salad and take home the pizza for later. Chewy was our pleasant waiter, very friendly and attentive. Fresh cold water when we sat down and a nice short easy menu to peruse and decide from. No frills, no uneasy decisions. Simple greatness is all that's needed. I'm guessing every table gets the Caesar salad, which was a botttomless pile of fresh lettuce, tons of delicately grated smoothe Parmesan cheese, delicate crumbles of breadcrumbs, with an absolutely decadent Caesar dressing - pleasantly spread throughout the whole entire plate of goodness. Next time I will try the fresh loaf of bread sliced thick with a bowl of cherry tomatoes. Whoa that looked great. Every plate that walked by us whispered 'try me' next time!! Saved the salami Calabrese pizza for home directions on the box which provided the most perfect texture for a reheated pizza we've ever had. Delightful! The pizza. The crust. I can't even believe a whole table while we were eating there skipped the crust of the whole pie. You can't! That's a sin! Greatest sourdough pizza, dare I say delicate but hearty? Perfectly crisp yet soft where it's necessary. I can't wait to try more flavors. Such an adorable place at 'the Camp' -quaint yet plenty of seating outside too for a larger party. It's all you need for a perfect slice of heaven! Thank you Folks! We will definitely be back!

If I could give this place zero stars, I absolutely would…read more We had an 8:30 p.m. reservation for three people, but only two of us ended up coming. For some reason, that became an issue because they weren't sure where to seat us in case our third person showed up later--even though we repeatedly told them not to worry about it. As soon as we sat down, our waiter told us the kitchen would be closing soon and asked if we had any questions because we needed to order quickly. He even told us we had two minutes left to place our order. Since we knew the kitchen was closing, I ordered a pizza to go at the same time as the rest of our meal so it would be ready when we finished eating. We ordered the bread and labneh, wings, and three pizzas. The bread and labneh was the only thing we genuinely enjoyed. The wings had such a bad smell that we boxed them up immediately without eating them. The pizzas were disappointing as well--burnt, with toppings that didn't taste fresh. To make matters worse, our two dine-in pizzas came out at different times. After we finished eating, paid our bill, and packed our leftovers, we waited for the to-go pizza that had been ordered when we first sat down. We were repeatedly told, "Just three more minutes." Then someone else explained there was a "cooling process" for the pizza and that's why there was a delay. At that point, we had already finished our meal, paid, and were simply sitting around waiting for an order that should have been ready. I asked to speak with a manager. A staff member walked over to who I assumed was the manager, and from where I was standing I could clearly see them talking about my daughter and me through the window. Eventually, a very kind employee came over, apologized, and politely explained the pizza process again but it didn't change the fact that we were still waiting. At this point I left informed enough about process that I can just go back to the kitchen and prepare my pizza. She also told us the manager was busy on the phone handling another situation. Based on how the evening had gone, I wasn't surprised. When the manager finally came over, we explained everything. His response was simply that it's normal for a pizza to take 30 minutes or more. I reminded him that I had intentionally ordered it when we placed our dinner order because we had been told the kitchen was closing in two minutes. I even had text messages to my son showing I had asked him what he wanted before placing the order. He then insisted the kitchen closed at 9:30, despite the fact that we had watched the kitchen being cleaned and shut down around 9:00. He showed absolutely no concern, offered no apology, and seemed genuinely confused about why I was upset after waiting 30-40 minutes for a pizza that should have been prepared while we were eating. I told him I wasn't going to argue with someone who couldn't see the problem. I let him know I'd be sharing my experience online and asked for his name. He proudly replied, "Logan," and seemed to welcome the review. Restaurants earn repeat customers through great food, great service, or ideally both. Unfortunately, this place delivered neither. Aside from the bread and labneh, the food was poor, the customer service was even worse, and the manager's complete lack of accountability was the final disappointment. I will never return, and I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone. I also added photos to depicting the burnt crust hence the cooling process from the torching of the pizza and the basil that looked fried as well Mind you this is not our first time eating pizza out but definitely the last time at Folks!! As far as Logan and his handling of the situation he needs to go back to being a server, or take some hospitality training or fired!! I also want to note the smell of the chicken , I noticed other customers mentioned weird smell of the food. I think the food and health organization should be informed about their kitchen Hopefully this review will save people from going to this restaurant that really doesn't care or believe in customer service! I can't imagine this place lasting much longer. It's definitely a one time and never again experience!! Also please note this was not about wanting anything back I had already paid and packed. So we were not expecting a credit or anything but maybe some kind words and an apology instead of the humiliation we received and the training on mediocre pizza making.
